i have 300 darkcoin and i hope i will be rich. What price the darkcoin will hit? 20$ ? 200$ ? 2 dollars hopefully Any thoughts on why DRK still struggles so painstainkingly to make an ascent? I mean, it's rising, but it always seems to be two steps forward, one step back. Is that overhead supply of coins still out there? Shouldn't it have been run down by now? Bit painful to watch compared to coins like HIRO and BC, which dont seem to have nearly as much to offer as DRK, DRK's developer and the robust community here. What gives? I would assume a lot hinges on DarkSend proving out.

While I don't like bringing memes into darkcoin and making it seem retarded , this is my try .

Simple, a skewed distribution that does not equal the current demand. I'm not complaining about the early miners but its pretty easy to see that the early adopters own the market right now. Someone dumped 6k on cryptsy this morning driving the price down to 14XXXX . 2 million coins were mined in the first 24 hours leaving a small portion of DRK holders in the upper echelon. Therefore if the price rises to 1 dollar, expect these people to dump a slice of their stashes like has been happening. Same thing happened when vert went to 9 dollars. What you can hope for is that the hype from DARKSEND is more than enough to shock absorb any major dumping by these holders. Or we can hope that they would be out of much of their coins to actively flood the market with.

I wouldn't even want it to reach 10$ or something right away because people would go nuts selling it expecting a crash and making it a self fulfilling prophecy. A nice steady rise would be awesome.

It's because most people just want a quick profit... if they think they can do that with other coins, they will dump good stable coins to speculate. There are so many wild coins out there that this will be a continual situation. Traders (taken as a whole) always lose.

Used it to buy execoin (which I felt had an incoming hype) then destroyed their market value with a huge dump on their all time high, made 3 BTC and put it all back into Darkcoin. Dumped at the top there, price hasn't recovered since. Although execoin mines way too fast anyways and can't sustain their price.

I think the major question is in how many hands hold these 2 million instamine coins. If it's in 100 hands I wouldn't worry too much, but if it's in the hands of a few... well, that's a whole different story imho. I wonder if there is any way to check this...

I'm bullish on DRK and DRKsend - and especially the developer and his future plans and commitment to constant innovation, but sick of the dumps. I guess that's why BC is so popular - people want more protection from big dumpers.

In the USA, the IRS just confirmed that Bitcoin is taxable as a capital gain - its an asset. Those who make any gains should inform the IRS or they will be facing criminal charges. This then will apply to all crypto coins. What's more, the government will no doubt be seeking out and testing out ways to track bitcoins in order to ensure US Citizens around the world notify and pay their correct taxes. http://blogs.wsj.com/totalreturn/2014/03/25/qa-the-new-irs-rules-on-bitcoin/Everyone please pay your taxes. Do not attempt to hide your crypto wealth with DarkSend. That's just not playing fair or giving the IRS a sporting chance.
