The more I see this, the more I love it. It's so goddamn transnational corporation of a dystopian future.

It does give off a very sci-fi vibe!  Smiley Unlike bitcoin. Could be useful for attracting the nerd demographic. lol.

For the last 2 weeks, every time I have seen references to 'mintpal', I have imagined a Glaswegian bloke saying it in admiration of his friends new car.... "aye!....thats mint pal!" The thing is, 'mint' was doing the rounds 20 years ago and I havn't heard anyone say it in ages so I wasn't too sure. So, curiosity got the better of me and I googled "thats mint pal". Well, guess what images turned up!! How I laughed....

Great one ! I hadn't noticed that.

(Just as lang as yer 'mint-ead' efftur ye sawd aw yer chaindge Smiley  )

Quick question regarding p2phash.com:7309 (a p2p pool). The pool has reported 2 blocks found when I've been mining it for the past 45 minutes but I'm not seeing any payouts. When I click any of the links on the solved block hashes they state cannot be found. Before I keep mining does anyone know the pool is alive/legit?

It is possible this p2pool node is on a wrong fork, check the block that was solved, make sure it matches http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/

It's also possible you are using an old version of the wallet and you are the one on the wrong fork, make sure you are using the newest wallet version.

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I disappeared.  I don't know if someone hacked my account or if I stupidly changed the login and totally forgot.  60/40 percent chance favoring stupidity.  I had no personal information in my profile, so hopefully all is ok.  I'll just have to make sure nobody represents me badly by keeping an eye on it.

I get frustrated, and anxiety builds up, so I had to step away from the forum a while and now I feel better Smiley

Anyway, one good thing is this will keep me from spamming posts, ROFL  Grin  I'm a newbie again!
We would instantly spot a fake TanteStefana post, it wouldn't give us that same happy feeling! Smiley

edit: new masternode code is fantastic - add masternode, shows up instantly everywhere.

Those big whales.. 50+ master nodes running on amazon ec.. that's gotta be some serious income.  Grin

I must say, although I've only been in DRK for a few weeks, I think the masternode thing is a stroke of genius.

It shows the dev's got a bit of financial nouse as well as technical. I've been trying to work out how worthwhile it is putting up a masternode and I keep going round in circles because:

[1] - it lots of masternodes go up, you'll get less of the "pie"

[2] - but the price of DRK will go up because less money supply and more demand, so what you DO get is worth more

[3] - but if the price goes down, more masternode holders will retire and want to sell their holdings

[4] - so the remaining masternodes get more of the pie, creating more demand and stabilising the market

Kind of like multi-pool effect except it's based on a constructive principle that supports the coin technically as opposed to a parasitical one that does nothing for the coin.

I'm so glad I don't have to be the fact welfare...

Thanks, LOL.

Could you or someone please tell me what version we are on?  I'd just like to verify because it seems we've been changing a lot lately??  Thanks Smiley

...And then I panic-sold again with the rest of the sheeps while preparing my morning coffee, thinking I shouldn't have done that panic-buy from the bed. And then I started to realize I completely got out of control but I was still a little fuzzy, so I tried to buy back slowly as much as I could but that 700 BTC mocking on Cryptsy didn't help. So I ended up with ~850

...

Holy shit, when was this?

Ok now you guys are just messing with me

I just received 1.503 DRK ... 1503 --- the same amount the biggest wallet created in his balance three times in a row, the number of my btctalk username.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

Sh*t. After you posted that I just went and looked at some your older posts.

Massively enlightening. I hadn't thought of many of those angles you have on the algo thing. I've always considered POS the future.

Why isn't more of this stuff out there ? (i.e. the huge amount of strategic economic thinking behind the algos as opposed to just keeping your PC cool) ? I already thought DRK was pretty wised up in many areas but that stuff is all new on me.

You sound like the anti-troll troll. Could do with your insights on some of the B.S. threats that are going on in bitcointalk top 50.

Make a t-shirt that matches the background color of the coin and print a giant metal D logo on it. I'll buy several. Now.
