Hi everybody,

In first time, sorry for my english because isn´t good. I´m mining darkcoin in P2P and I recieve a lot of darkcoins because the wallet is not updated, I´m very happy(or stupid) and I send 55 darkcoins to cryptsy, this darkcoins never comes, today I discover the wallet have and update and the problem is the next:

The blockexplorer tell me the real darkcoins I have but the wallet no, any solution?

Thanks everybody

Post data: I think the big problem is my transaction to cryptsy because really I don´t have 55 darkcoins and the wallet accept that, in the historic of my wallet the transaction don´t have confirmations, can I cancel the order?, the id of the transaction is this: 00569fa4611880f0cfe395f65d37a69082482cc48079c17eaf17d905b8468b99

You just need to use the format in place on the dark web, tweak it to normal use and that's it. Done.
Needs to be p2p. Does this exist in the (dark or otherwise) wild?

I was just talking about on the open web but as for dark net sites I asked about it here, doesn't look like it yet
http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/25ouwz/so_darkcoin_is_gaining_a_lot_of_heat/
I write really bad python from time to time, I've been looking and the necessary libraries are all there. Anyone actually competent could have a p2p market app up in a day or two. I don't mean pretty and finished, but basic working funtionality, sure. Would probably take me a month...  Undecided

lol well... adult cam sites. websites where people (mostly girls) go on cam nude and raise money from viewers, once the money is raised they will "do stuff". An anonymous payment would be useful to the viewers and models.

Once updated you'll see a transaction pending.

implementing ring signatures will take considerable change to the codebase and it hasnt been implemented on a protocol other than cryptonote yet, so its questionable
Not in the least bit questionable, if you've been around long enough to know Evan.  He's amazingly fast coding, and the infrastructure of Darkcoin is incredibly useful.   Evan doesn't care if he has to throw code away and rewrite it a thousand times to get it perfect.
Pity he wasn't such a perfectionist at the launch. Smiley
Doing real work takes priority over pretty. Some people can't function without pretty. They need crutches and hand-holding. Sucks for them.

But can one be successful that way?  Cutting out the majority of the population?  And when DarkSend is improved beyond Cryptonote, and all cryptonote coins are still so far behind, what then?

I'm not saying the work of those coins isn't worthwhile, it is.  Each alt coin has shown things of value.  Things that work and things that don't.  One of the biggest things dogecoin has shown us is that community is #1 bar nothing.  Cutting out those "stupid" people who need to be "babied" with a functional graphic user interface style wallet will kill any coin.  Sorry.

My response was specific tot he comment above it, regarding launch. Make it pretty later. Make it work first.

It's software version 0.N.N.N-BUILDN for a reason... One cannot enter into a project worrying about the biggest idiots first. It's a surefire way to end up with nothing at all.
Of course pretty stuff can wait, but the comment was about the gigantic instamine. That one mistake will haunt the coin forever. If the day comes that Darkcoin becomes the #1 crypto and worth a trillion dollar market cap they'll still be beating us with that stick on the TV news.

Every Proof of Work coin has an instamine. BTC was instamined on CPUs, too.... May as well complain that mosquitoes breathe oxygen and say you've made a point... Yup, it's true, mosquitoes breathe oxygen. So what?

The BTC trade volume is so low since the China squeeze started and the strangling of bank interaction with Chinese exchanges. A significant amount of BTC volume in the last 24hrs must be alt trading and multipools.

Darkcoin is helping to keep BTC volume going at the moment?

edit - trade volume about 3-4 weeks back

We should see more exchanges taking a peek at Darkcoin now. They need the trade. Watch out for BTC China and a few others joining the party Wink

Edit: the past 24 hrs of trade has been $4.68m for top 100 coins except LTC (plenty of mutlipools exchange direct to LTC, LTC alt pairs and LTC $ and Yuan markets), Ripple, Mastercoin and BTC, vs $2.95m for BTC.

So DRK is just under 50% of the 24hrs volume of trade.

We're taking over.

If the first 4500 mosquitoes to exist breathed about as much oxygen as has been breathed since, your comparison would make sense. Smiley

Anyway, we've agreed it was an honest mistake & the coin still kicks ass.

What price did it fall to?
Pity i was asleep, as i would have bought alot more.

Why don't you start another poll? You could invite people to vote on what decade you will die of bitterness perhaps?

Strange how someone so 'knowledgeable' can't pull up a graph Huh

This market's crazy.

All the buy liquidity is off the order books. The market depth doesn't remotely do justice to it.

I was just thinking we were going to hover here for a while and maybe even get a bit of a drop due to the adverse 1-hour momentum harmonic against favourable 4-hour when, from nowhere, a 7715 DRK shot parachutes in like stormtrooper in an ambush, cleaning up everything to 150000 sats.

It's kind of like watching an ant splashing around in a puddle through a looking glass and then having the odd boulder come crashing onto the scene from behind your shoulder, soaking your clothes and blinding you for the next 5 minutes.

Right, hanky out, dust off looking glass....back to the ants.

I've just worked out, that was a 115 BTC buy (Mintpal).

There have been a hell of a lot of these huge buys at all time highs the last few days. Basically someone bought the entire 15 sellwall in 1 order. That would usually take hours or days to eat through, especially after a big rise like we've just had.

What's going on ? Why are people ploughing 115 BTC into it at the all time high ? They also did this at the last peak of around 8 I think it was.

Negative Theories:

 - it's the NSA planning to monopolise the masternode network

Positive Theories:

 - it's bitcoin whales hedging themselves against the new wave of demand for anonymous transaction blockchains

It's make your mind up time  Wink
