Wow it went quiet in here all of a sudden!  Wink

Things got very, very serious in last 24hrs....people are trying to figure out their next move, mostly along the lines of keeping quiet and trying to buy more at reasonable prices. Grin

I just finished quietly buying up my next stash...dont think we will be seeing 0.022 anymore....0.03 will be soon.

quod erat demonstrandum

This is bad for the community. No more to the moon stuff. Everyone now thinks DRK will go to $300m in a reasonable time, then to $1bn. Its not a matter of if, but when. So people are keeping quiet and hoping they can get cheap DRK before the rockets start firing.

Bad, bad, bad for the community. Everyone now hiding away in their little DRK corners, plotting their next purchase opportunity and thinking of becoming trolls. What if I sell everything I own, how many master nodes can I get? Do I need to pay rent for the next 3 months, they can evict me after that I don't care? What if I sell my car and cycle to work? How hard is it to steal pocket money from an 8 year old? Damn, should I hide my stash of coins from my wife, if I become rich she can divorce me and I get to keep my precious.

Bad, bad, bad for the community.

On a positive note, look out for my sell orders at $300 soon.... Grin

Can't believe BTCe are not adding third most traded crypto. Losing tons of profits to mintpal and bitfenix.

I am really surprised so many people are selling given we just hit 0.025 after ATH of 0.0275.  Things should shape up nicely over the next week.

just reliezed we got a new trollwar on reddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2751e8/psa_dont_fall_for_darkcoins_deceiving_marketing/

i realy don't get it, if i'm an investor and i fear about the current closed source, than i wait it out, until its open sourced. There is still enough gain to be maid with darkcoin, after its open sourced. And you don't have to hate it.

if i'm willing take the risk even if its currently closed source, im going to invest earlyer. This decission should depends on the credibility YOU give to darkcoin, you should make your own decissions if you invest, it's your money!
(For example start by reading this topic, i know its a fucking huge post count, but hey its your money!)

so if you read it, whats that warning about?

there are not any false promisses from darkcoin, it is clearly written, that it is closed source now, until its finished.

it was never said it is a 100000 % anonymous coin, but it will make it's best way achieve as much anonymity as possible step by step.
Nothing else was said.

So I couldn't see any of this "deceiving marketing" - but hey Mr. BigMoneyGuy must know it better Smiley

just my 2 cents

Also people are trading the equivalent of 25% of total annual mined coins in 24 hours. i.e. 1.05 Million darkcoins mined per year; and people are trading approx 250k darkcoins in the last 24 hours.  People, once you sell it - you are unlikely to see it come back at this price for a very long time if ever.

And this is exactly why darkcoin cannot afford to stay closed source.

Just a reminder not to get misled by the intermediary DRK/BTC ratio if what you ultimately care to measure is the absolute dollar value.  The recent local maximum at 0.025 is actual a higher valuation per DRK and higher market cap, in dollars, than the "all-time high" in terms of the DRK/BTC ratio of 0.0275 ten days ago.  This is because bitcoin itself rose roughly $100 in the intervening time period.

Back of the envelope math:

ten days ago: 1 DRK * 0.0275 BTC/DRK * $535/BTC = $14.71 per DRK.
earlier today:   1 DRK * 0.025 BTC/DRK * $630/BTC =  $ 15.75 per DRK.

(I grabbed these BTC values by eyeballing bitcoinwisdom very roughly, so they are imprecise.)

One nice thing about the addition of DRK to to Bitfinex is that it should end up making graphs and stats about DRK/USD trends more accessible, since they've created a direct market for it.
