DRK and XC Communities,

The toxic back and forth between our two communities has reached a level with which neither of us are comfortable or impressed.  The competitive space for our coins lies in the results, and the results will speak for themselves as they are brought online.  Whatever mistakes or provocations were undertaken by either side are in the past, and we would like them to remain there.  We are all interested in one thing: the advancement of anonymous cryptocurrency.   Let go of the tribalism and start thinking of how you can positively contribute to that end.

Agree
Let me complement with a couple of notes:

1- Is too easy for a third party introduce provocation on each thread. They can look as authentic supporters of one of the coins (DRK, XC, others), but nobody know what is the real interest in the background, because nobody know where their money is in.

2- As I noted several weeks ago, there is space for both and even more. Only one will never survive alone.

3- Be constructive. Be professional. Be superior by working hard, not by exposing weak points of the other in a uncontrollable and explosive fashion. LTC market capitalization is a lot bigger than all alt-coin anon related together.

4- I will be happy if Mr. atcsecure release a compromise on the same way, for the benefit of all. My Mistake, didn't notice the signature and the end. I'm happy.

Fresh money will arrive massively on a progressive and healthy competitive environment, otherwise they will P&D with controlled risk and move out back to BTC.

Agree 100% and great observations.

Regarding #4, this is a joint statement. Dan is lead developer of XC (atcsecure).

Be very very careful about #1. While Darkcoin has undergone FUD for 100s of pages and much before XC was even conceived, the most recent trend is 3rd party or independent provocation. Some have bold signatures of other coins that they are vested in, while others are not so evident.

Sooner or later, price needs to catch up with difficulty and it is looking relentless at the moment. http://drk.poolhash.org/graph.html

Wafflepool is one of the downward pressure points unfortunately.

EDIT (6/28/2014)
New clients have been released and more changes have been made. Current versions are v9.11.5 and v10.11.5. It is important that all solo-miners and pool operators update to the correct clients! Miners make the network work, and as such you need to use the right client versions, stay up to date and keep our blockchain healthy and stable!

You can find the new client software on the official downloads page of www.Darkcoin.io.

*** PLEASE UPDATE TO 9.11.5 OR 10.11.5 ***

Windows Users:

v10.11.5

Linux Users:

I also agree, but that's a one sided arguement you're making mwalshe. Darkcoin's thread is not moderated and it's also berailed with XC trolls coming here...

Lets not be naive here, at present the DRK community is considerably larger than the XC community. If 1% of DRK posters decide to troll XC it has a much greater effect than 1% of XC posters trolling DRK.

The official XC topic was reluctantly made moderated since the FUD and attacks were literally relentless and on every single page.

Let's see what this peace agreement brings. I am backing it 100% and won't be posting in the DRK topic (which is v rare for me anyway).

Let's focus on Dark and what's to come and let all other coins just get on with whatever it is they are doing.

Less distraction more RC4 and enforcement On. Yes to that.
