[...] (I'm going to wait till all of the weak hands have left the building then I have some really cool stuff to announce). [...]
I think we are ready. Weak hands left the building Smiley

There is something in this statement that has puzzled me a lot during the last days. I keep wondering. Were weak hands our problem here in DRK? Are strong hands (edit: and also the dev team) aligned with those who try to manipulate the price?
Someone who was part of the instamine must have been dumping since the original peak.

Going to Mintpal...

What if this is a classic whale strategy. You get some fiat ready at an exchange and then move large amount of coins to that exchnage. This will create panic among noobs, make them think that someone is getting ready to dump. Noobs panic and sell and the whale collects the cheap coins  Roll Eyes

Or they are just using an exchange as "safe harbour" while updating their wallet.

Meh. Means nothing until coins are sold. And even then if they are sold slowly and carefully it will make no difference to the price.

Is this the way you would have dumped part of the instamine, if you were in his place? Doesn't cut it for me.

The chart does not lie: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/pair/drk/btc/mintpal/6-months

Whales do not need your cheap coins. They are already rich. They sell when they sell and buy when they buy. We are just part of the flotsam.

Exactly why would one want to buy Bitcoin at $1000 each when they could do it at $100 each? Because they have money?
That would be a very bad move/bad investor. The same is applied to Darkcoin. The market was manipulated and the margin gains in the last day were huge. You're wrong.

After RC4, I saw the money dry up. I expected dumps but not the amount that occurred. But you can see from the 6 month chart, that core miners from the start have been dumping. Does not mean that Drk technology is bad or whatever but key holders have been dumping for months. Your attempts at rationalisation are amusing.

This is way more fun. Check this out: http://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-darkcoin-addresses.html

Find all addresses with first input in January and February. Those were the early peoples that got their coins for nothing.

Seriously, who do you think had enough coins to dump into the market? I know one Chinese miner had 300,000 coins on his own.  Who knows how many the devs had?  They all have expenses and families to maintain. Plus, some would have cashed out etc...  It's what happened. If no one sold, the coin would be worth more right now.

I don't get what's so controversial about Ozziecoin's posts.

He seems to just be making observations about movements of large holders - so what. His observations seem reasonable. What is FUD about that ?

Jesus Christ I HATE wading through this thread.....

This world that has somehow sprung to life, where demands to 'open source' the product of a single persons life, do this, do that, change it this way etc......it challenges my own sense of self in a way that instantly stimulates the profanity center in my brain and brings on the insta-rage.  I would love to see Evan pull a Steve Jobs on all your asses (in his early years), and walk outside his garage and tell every single one of you crying bitches to go fuck yourselves and then make it known that if you don't leave, the shotgun in his hand will start explaining things in a way that makes it self evident.   Stop crying for changes to something for which you HAVE NEVER HAD ANY INTELLECTUAL, OR ACTUAL FOR THAT MATTER, CONTRIBUTION.  You CHOSE to put your foot in the stirup and swing the other leg up over the saddle and mount the horse.  Get the fuck off if you don't like the horse.

For those that have a tendency to misread posts, I'm not suggesting Evan is the next Steve Jobs.

Your having bought some 'coins' does NOT grant you the right to demand changes through a consistent dose of blabber and whining.  Buyer fucking beware.  The first amendment (for those that live in the U.S.) may give you that right and the existence of this forum makes it possible, but why remain so unhappy and discontent in the process of it's excercise?  What's the point?  You can't claim it actually makes you feel better.  A proper understanding of psychology will tell you that you WON'T feel better!

The potentiality of Evan making the coin open source, or doing anything else that's been screamed about, IS NOT YET AN ACTUALITY BECAUSE THE SOLE CREATOR (EVAN) HAS NOT DECIDED TO 'MAKE IT SO'.  All your whining and screaming will not change the relationship between the potentiality and the actuality.

NO ONE HERE has the the right to make claims upon the work Evan has done. NO ONE!...and by extension you don't have the 'right' to make demands of future decisions he will or will not make.  He is not resonsible for any of you.  Grant him the already possessed (and seemingly unrecognized) right to serve his own self interest...and if you think your self interest does not align....GET THE FUCK OUT.  Make the proper claim on yourself and recognize that you alone chose to buy some 'coin'.  Own the outcome in a singlular way.

He could just as easily say 'fuck it' and close the project and walk away leaving your asses looking like a wet cat that's just been pulled out of a muddy swimming pool and NOT SINGLE ONE OF YOU COULD DO SHIT ABOUT IT.  If I was Evan I would seriously consider it, just to seriously fuck all you whiners.  A mans creation is soley his and as a result is HIS to do with as he pleases.  Money is not the only currency and in Evan's case the creation of this coin is a kind of currency...and I would spend that currency to fuck the shit out some of you.  Seeing you cry and die would be my payment.

FFS...either ride the horse and shut the fuckup...or dismount and find another horse.  Excercise the one faculty that differentiates you from all other living things on this planet...CHOICE.
