Just look at what the bitcoin domain went for! If it was darkcoin.com I would agree with you. drkcoin.com is not a premium name. The bitcoin domain was not named btccoin.com. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I`m a MNs operator and I would take part in this project if it will go on. BBC - "Darkcoin masternodes operators donate $500.000 for "Save The Children" in Nigeria" CNN - "DarkTor fees were able to fund schools for children in 3rd world countries. etc. That could be great. We have the potencial to do much lol  I really don't like this idea because there is a 99.9% chance that any funds sent will be stolen by the respective government or charity administrators and never help a single soul. BTW, I always donated when I worked, but stuck with local charities that I could audit. I'm not against charities, I just don't want to help the evil dictators and warlords. |

Just like many others, I invested in creating a master node. I'd say I'm about 3k$ in the hole all in all. The thoughts that I might be forced to give up a portion of my meager income to charity just makes me wanna hurl. I agree that it should be optional.
I've also read about a "mistaken" DRK insta/pre mine...... Why aren't these funds being used to fund a charity.....or set up MNs with the sole purpose of donating their proceeds to charity?
For the same reason you shouldn't be forced to, because somebody was lucky and mined 'em up and those coins then belonged to them. No, I agree with you on this. I like aigeezer's suggestion to get charities to accept dark and go from there. Anyone interested in supporting a charity can then donate or speak up for them for donations in the forums. I think that would be best. |

Also, I don't think it matters so much what Darkcoin's name is. Look at Bitcoin. It's got a very benign name, yet it's maligned by the media. On the other hand, it's winning I think father Bitcoin will be paving the way for Darkcoin to have an easier time actually. |

I just added initial support for DarkCoin to blockparser: https://github.com/znort987/blockparserInside the Makefile, just change from -DBITCOIN to -DDARKCOIN Not very well tested yet, so YMMV. Enjoy And as a teaser, here's the top 250 or so DarkCoin addresses by balance: Looks like most of these top 250 addresses have been accumulating and not selling. Where did you get this? |

The domain name is worth nothing more then you payed for it to register,the domain is not used on a developed site with original content,it does not have backlinks,it does not deliver anything in the eye's of google to rank your site in the search engine. Get over it dude,if you dont develop your site and rank it on the first page on google with content that realy makes it stand out of the rest of the site's you will never ever gonna get 10k DRK!The keyword in your domain name does not matter much as it used to be,google has changed there algorithem a couple times the past years.People need to stop thinking that if they got a domain name registerd that they can make lost of cash right away by selling it,those days are long gone my friend. Your domain name has zero value now,develop it to a complete site and get it ranked`and sell it on Flippa.com,you maybe can get $300 for it if you do it right.  |

Even better you need to remember that to setup masternodes you need to divide the coins in chunks of 1000 DRK so if you see them moving in precisely that amount it probably means they are setting a masternode. It will also affect the list as large holders with masternodes will have their balance split into many wallets. This is what is great about DRK there is something useful to do with the coins besides just waiting for future appreciation, you can contribute to the network and get rewarded for it. |

You would be surprised ... And also check some law / rules they have to comply with. Most of the money does not end where you thought it will end. As with everything, follow the money, check who is the 'creator' of such organizations and who benefits... |

Pfft, moving averages... take any time period and any period moving average and it will act as support/resistance at some point. Useful for gauging trend but nothing more.
