The stakes have not been distributed yet and there is no ETA. In fact the list isn't even final since there is an auditing to come.

Ok, not to sound annoying, but today I had a friend over, and I showed her a post that had the signature "New Economy Movement." I told her to find out what that the signiture was referring to. She couldn't. Not with Google, not with anything.

I then told her to find out about Nem. And she couldn't She was even smart enough to search for the terms, "Nem economy," "Nem economy movement," Nem new economy movement." And nothing. And the only reason she thought of doing that was because she already heard the phrase "New Economy Movement."

I think that's a legitimate problem. If it's not going to be Nem Coin, we need to add something to it to make it a unique enough of a search term.

Maybe with should go about this the same way we're doing with the logos. With suggestions of something that can enhance the name Nem that makes it a searchable term on the internet. And perhaps something that also sounds good in Chinese, Japanese, German.

The term will be associated with NEM in due course, don't worry.

If it is possible, the NEM page should be added to here (by page's owner):

Then, in Index, do "search like Google", "search", "send to ".


After that NEM people should use Google and search "New Economy Movement" and other related words, and from the Google's list should pick NEM pages, which increases the importance of NEM pages.



PS. now "NEM - New Economy Movement" is 15th in Google's list, not so bad ...  maybe it is already in index. Google finds 150 000  "new economy movement".

I just added ournem.com to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home. It will take sometimes for the search engine to recognize the site though. I am not even sure that the site has been properly indexed by Google.

You work with a limited number of vendors (those selling particular items in the stadium) with a limited number of people in a single place for a specific duration of time - the football match. Even better if NEM can be used to order and pay for your food/drink from your seat, and have it delivered to you by runners. (This is possible because of the short block time in NEM; not possible with BTC.)

Test cases allow for a concentration and coordination of effort, and a very deliberate debriefing/evaluation time afterward to see what worked and what didn't, and how to make changes for the next time. Test cases like this also limit the damage in case things don't go as planned.

I've scanned the notes on funding and understand the original donations are to fund the creation/development.

I have not seen any comments on creating a NEM Community Fund to help spread the adoption of NEM and drive activities using NEM (rather than BTC/NXT) as the funding vehicle.

Having seen some other coin threads, often the genesis process does not create a clearly established and controlled fund to drive currency activity/adoption further and then sometimes essential projects to establish the currency stall until someone is prepared to risk investing in a particular activity.

Without a fund Projects can develop if there are original stakeholders able and willing to progress them but it can be hit and miss, it would be nice to see things like faucets and other activities to drive the NEM base beyond 4000 quickly established and fund to do this would make this early activity at lot easier.

I understand NEM is being distributed across the stakeholders, but please confirm some is being reserved to drive the establishment of community funding rather then handing it all out and then asking for contributions.

I was able to access a cached ournem.com when the website was down the other day, So i assume that means they have indexed it already? Just kind of assuming though...
