The templates look amazing, very nice work Yep, I agree! It looks like it'll be a pleasure to use. Anyone getting a 'Windows 8' vibe from it? It's very beautiful.

It looks like NEM will be bigger than Nxt if the templates are anything to go by!
Things to improve NXT: - Better distribution. ✓
- Easy-to-setup client on launch. ✓
- Forging mechanism which doesn't promote hoarding. ✓
- Active stakeholder community. ✓
Yeahhhh, NEM's gonna be BIG; it's almost a certainty. +1 I'm so excited for this coin. I literally cannot think of anything wrong with it. Roll on the alpha! I just want to stare at that gorgeous client all day haha.

Development update: The development contract announcement will be delayed. My plan is to have the announcement when we have a clear road map of NEM development going forward and preferably within 1-2 weeks of the alpha launch. Unfortunately, at this point we don't have an ETA for the alpha launch yet and consequently, the formal announcement is delayed. My guesstimate of the Alpha is still on later part of April but there are quite a few things that needs to be worked on before we can make a solid ETA. We currently have two repo, one for NEM infrastructure codes and one for NEM client codes and quite a few other concurrent projects going on. Progress is made on daily basis and team-quality wise I think we are as strong as Ethereum group except that NEM team and development are still in a stealthy mode. NEM client would be called NEM community client (NCC) and here is NCC specification written by Thies1965. Feel free to comment on it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZVrzuS_krjRF5rMvt5oKl3IS3VOhF_qnn2faZb7KZQ/editThese are some mock-up design of NCC https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9jSTPeGZxgtTjVncFlmMmJ6LW8&usp=sharingI hope you like what NCC will look like in the future. Let me know if you are a developer and interested in working on expanding NEM ecosystem. I have some ideas about the future direction of NEM that I could share and I am very excited about it. Thanks. Who can tell me where is the Final contractual stakeholder list? thanks

Im looking around in other forums, of other coins, comparing them to this coin. NEM is what brought me into crypto currencies. My friend told me to go to the waiting list and sign up.
The other coins out there have nothing to offer. There is really no comparison. I reviewed Nxt and they seem to be in the same arena, much more advanced than regular coins . So I can see why they have been dubbed 2.0 coins. From what I understand, NEM will be superior to Nxt. Taking this into account, I would conclude that NEM will arguably be the top alternate crypto currency available.
That's the perception I'm getting, being new to this industry. This is very exciting to think I even have a CHANCE to become a stakeholder. All of you that are confirmed stakeholders must be ecstatic!
I can see how Bitcoin may be hard to beat considering that it has such a head start. What I would like to know is why would any of you think that it wouldn't be a clear number 2? Am I missing something? What other coin will be more advanced than this? Doesn't NEM plan to surpass them all? Why wouldn't everyone want to purchase NEM once it is released?
Wouldn't you all expect its market cap to be in the billions?
Jack

I think due to the nature of the distribution - not ludicrous - the market cap will be more modest to start with. AUR's cap was based off a tiny percentage of coins being available for actual trade, or actually available at all.
It might not fulfill the dreams of incredible riches to start with. It will build a base and level of sustainability that'll eventually obliterate the alternatives a while down the line.

NxT did hit $90 million for a brief period. Aurora hit $300 million. Both did well based on initial community reaction but the price plummeted when confidence went out the window. I think if NxT had a better IPO - it would had hit and remained stable at $100+ million and would had potential to upswing in value.
