Nice!  Are you sure the total supply is 42 billion?  I think it should be 42 million instead.

Been watching the HUC order books for a long time, and someone is soaking up a LOT of HUC.

This has been going on for a while.

Where? Not showing up here ? https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_huc

0.00088 to 0.00018 in a couple of weeks is a little more than a 50% reduction too. Bear in mind that BTC also tanked over that period so it's worse than it looks in real money terms.

Be nice if people were buying, not much sign of it ATM tho Sad

Yes - at Poloniex.

I've been watching it very closely for, oh, since Poloniex added HUC. Smiley

People aren't buying up into the sell depth. Orders are being placed lower as buyers let the sellers dump into the buy depth.

There is no reason to buy a market order right now because sellers are simply dumping. Right now the buying fights are all ranging around 0.00014001 up to 0.0002 (give or take a bit).

There's a large buy-wall at 0.00014 right now for 30,000 HUC. If that wall gets taken out, HUC may go into freefall even lower. However, that will depend on if buyers decide to let it fall more in order to buy it up cheaply, which is exactly what buyers have been doing for a while now.

The sell depth is very thin, so any upwards movement could happen very, very quickly. But, that also depends on whether or not hoarders start to sell. I've got a feeling that most hoarders don't want to sell for less than $1 per HUC. We'll see though. I'll continue buying up more as it drops down into my orders. Cheesy

So I will make my first cryptocoins investment ever in HUC in the next few days. HUC is the only coin I trust now that I believe it will rise. I stopped playing the game but I will invest 70$ into hucs, now i will have about 1000 hucs. Hope the coin will skyrocket Smiley

blue arrow (animated) on own player selection
orange arrow (animated) on target cell selection
the size of the arrow is constant so even if you zoom out the map, it will be clearly visible

This update will be available on next client update, not available atm
soon i'll open subscription to the closed beta where where the client will be fully playable, still waiting name_list RPC fix, meanwhile i'll fix some minor issue i've found and setup website space to subscribe for closed beta

to adhere to the closed beta you'll have to subscribe to a page giving an HUC address that you'll have to use to send the fee required, i've still to figure out if it's enough, if not i may ask an email address but i'd like to keep it anonymous, what do you think about it?

(thinking about it. email could be useful to recover the account password and to change bounded HUC address, so i think should be needed)

If it requires 1 HUC to create a team, isn't the total number of teams limited to the number of coins in existence? Has anyone given thought to this aspect?

In some sense, yes.  But the cost will be recovered when the general dies, so it is only a limit on the number of players on the game at the same time.  Also, if it ever becomes a problem, we could lower the fees for player creation.

Perhaps the cost of a new team should be a decreasing function of number of generals playing. I'm just throwing the idea out there. My motivation is that ad hoc decisions about future rule changes are undesirable.

Thanks for honest posts..
you can voice your thoughts on the huntercoin forum (probably best)

we did think about things like this before creation of huntercoin - and it was settled after many sleepless nights and debating with my partner at the time.
One idea was basing the price of a general on the amount of generals on the map. This way we could prevent it being totally crammed. After adding destruct we decided to leave it for the time being, and rely on natural selection Smiley

also, as it's open source, you can of course convince others to do it your way any time.

--

regarding your post - can you imagine 1.5 million players on the map (approx number of coins)? although it may be unlikely at the present time, there would be little coins for hoarders - probably the value of HUC would increase to the point of which creating a team would be too expensive - maybe it would be self balancing?
There are 12k teams on the map atm.

either way it's something to think about

-

also need to remember that we are delving into the unknown somewhat, and Huntercoin's original purpose was that of testing the enviroment for future games. And therefore making it simple to call it a Human Minable Coin (a crypto currency), rather than a fully fledged mmorpg. This way we could keep huntercoin going without competing with complex future crypto mmorpgs.

Something like that Smiley

blockchain size/performance is what we are working around atm

Implemented progressive path composition!!

using pie menu or clicking CTRL+Mouse Right Click, you can build a composite path, this will allow you to set cumulative destination in one transaction (e.g. you can send your hunter at spawn and back, in a single transaction)

(this is a full featured client features and will be available, with all other full stuffs, to members of the closed beta that will be announced soon)
