I pulled & compiled the new client but have not yet restarted the pool (so it's still running on the old client). Since KGW seems to be actually removed, I suppose it's not backwards compatible and we really have to wait till 20:00 GMT?

Btw, sorry I've been around so little. I've tried to follow the discussion and wanted to contribute at various points but have failed to manage to do so in various ways. Even now, I'll be on the road at 20:00 GMT so I will barely be able to restart the client, let alone hang out on IRC.. I'll always be reachable by PM / mail though!

wzttide and myself will be changing over at 20:00 GMT. You definitely need to change over at 20:00 if you're running a pool or solo mining, since the KGW removal will break backwards compatibility for miners.

Alright folks. All the updated wallets are on http://CGAnomaly.com and source on github is updated. Please UPDATE! Especially solo-miners... The removal of KGW will make you fork. Everyone else needs to update before block 48,000 or your wallets will begin to fork.

Edit: BTW I haven't heard from allcoin yet (but you should still be good to trade there until block 48,000). Poloniex is updated and lazycoins is on the correct version as well.

Edit2: Anomalypool and Inceptioncraft Pools are updated!

Yeah, with the rate falling week by 50-100%
as well as on the exchange 0,025-0,01 start, some believed in 0.1

in fact we have 0,003-0,002 dump, if it goes in a week or two we add another zero 0.000 X

it's time to think seriously about marketing and promotion
if the rate falls to 0.001 miners will start to leave, selling everything they have (or 50%), the rate has dropped.
after waiting the most persistent with iron nerves to be mining  +/-  2-3 week, if not the results ........(

Marketing is very critical. CGA doesn't even have a logo yet. Yes, I know about the contest and everything.

Are you saying that both the Mac versions from CGAnomaly.com aren't working?

Is there a size limit on transactions from the new wallet?  Wouldn't let me send 40 CGA - just said it was "over the size limit" and then "create transaction failed".  (I may have misremembered the exact wording.)

20 was OK.

Seems a bit odd, 40 is hardly a lot.

This is a common problem - your wallet is probably very fragmented, meaning you have a lot of transactions in and/or out. This forces the client to create large transactions (not the amount counts, the transactions count!). You can try to push a few extra fragments of CGA for the fee.

OK, that makes sense - the p2pool mining will have created a lot of small transactions.

I did pay the fee - it was 0.053 for 20 CGA!

You can also set some extra fee in the options of your qt-client.

So the transaction did go through? If not: maybe it helps having 2 wallets: one for mining, one for spendings. I'm doing it the same way.
