I'm mining OK (using bfgminer) so it may just be you.

Is it for everyone or just for me?
I had the same problem trying to connect with the "-O BTCaddress" bfgminer option. Then I changed it to "-u BTCaddress -p x" instead and this fixed it.

Hi all,

New to BTC Mining (Started Apr 3rd with 5 S1's, OC to 375Mhz Clock), 1GK5Nfku8UUZqd1TjGPfrUWqXeWQNnsGDc and have been lurking for a couple of weeks.

First off, want to give WizKid and Luke Jr. a big thank you.
For all the obvious reasons.
Amazing pool and operator, we will be contributing soon.

Had to pay a penalty (the transaction fee cost more than the penalty, lol) to be able to post, probably because our primary business is as a VPN Provider and we operate 4 TOR bridging and relay servers.

Anyway, over the last couple of days, evidently, some have experienced some issues with mining.
Just here to say our S1's have been purring along quietly without a hitch.
We have more problems with our ISP downing our connectivity.
But after the last round of conversations (put mildly) with them that probably won't happen again.

We have some pretty smart folks on staff, if there is something we might be able to do to help this endeavor along please don't hesitate to ask.

Again, thanks for operating the best pool on the planet,

Decentralize your hashing - p2pool - Norgz Pool

I spent the better part of the day investigating this issue.

  • It's not a pool side hack - No pool servers are or were compromised
  • It's not a pool-side close network hack - No datacenter infrastructure is compromised
  • It only affects certain clients, is not pool wide, and affects affected clients repeatedly

Presumably there is some issue with some client side routing hardware that is being exploited.  Anyone effected, please post how your connected to the net.  PC->Router->Cable Modem, etc, with makes/models of such so we can possibly narrow this down.

Multiminer using bfgminer 3.99 via Juniper Networks SSG140 and using local DNS servers with forwarders to ISP DNS.

Miner, tech geek, operator of NorgzPool - Sydney Australia P2Pool Node creator of p2pool fancy front end

Tips: 1NorganBbymShTN2MMpfGzRYJF8mcPeXjv Exchange BTC locally in Australia or Donate to p2pool miners

I was working fine but after a reboot I was getting the same message as n0xi0uzz. The solution that equipoise gave worked for me. Thanks. What are these variables that made it work again?

I dunno. Ever seen them in the one room at the same time? Me neither. In fact Luke-Jr, Wizkid, Inaba, eleuthria could all be the same person, since I've never seen them together in one room before either. Or Satoshi. Or you, Luke-Jr- er I mean HellDiverUK.

Hm, many people have seen myself and Inaba together in the same room at Bitcoin Conferences.
You're right about wizkid057 and Eleuthria though, I've never seen them! Sad

I might make an appearance the next time a conference is in Vegas, assuming some of the core devs are there.  I just don't want to go through the hassle of a modern day US airport.
