Sometimes it's not too risky because the altcoin was doing any correction to the ethereum and bitcoin price. This time the majority of altcoin has been increasing a lot on the ethereum and bitcoin price to correcting its price with the latest bitcoin and ethereum price. I think that it's not so bad to hold altcoin.

Ethereum is also one of altcoin but Ethereum in my opinion is the best altcoin, Ethereum quality has proven now on the market more and more projects using Ethereum so I think ethereum is more promising for investment use than other altcoins.

Actually guys, ether is just an altcoins but considering it's level from the others it is absolutely ether is on the top. Some other altcoins also seem to be profitable just like NEO, Litecoin and some others, you can actually invest them along with Ethereum if you want. Actually, risk is still there and we need to conquer it for us to succeed.

The best idea is to do your research on coins that will have good future and split your investment on them, which I know that 50% members of this forum will know that, but for now ethereum is in more demanding after bitcoin and it will have good future.

But that doesn't mean that altcoin can't defeat Ether, I think altcoin are the coins of new era and can provide better profits than ETH. ETH is very good coin which has genuine use under the ERC 20 token system but now more such coins are coming working on the same phenomena and enhanced version of myetherwallet. So, yes there is definitely a chance that ETH may be replaced anytime soon by a better coin.

I would say ether if u want less profit but is much ''safer'' , altcoins are good for long term but like u said more risky , with higher risk higher reward

I think both ETH and altcoin are worth your investment and hold. These are all potential pennies in the future. If I had to choose one of the two I would choose ETH investment first because I believe it will bring about high profits. ETH performs very high daily transactions compared to other coins.

Ethererum and altcoins are very potential to invest and hold. But if you define long-term investment and have no knowledge of crypto then choose ETH instead of altcoins. I think it's better to keep Ethereum now, because altcoins falls very much, even stronger than Ethereum

agree with you, altcoin has been not potential, in last time atcoins tend to falls
so hold ethereum better than hold altcoins, ethereum more profitable,.. ussually ethereum going down but sometime ethereum will be back up again

Actually there are lots of good altcoin after ethereum, but it all depends on the foresight you see the chance of price increase from the altcoint, it is ethereum one of altcoin which is still much in demand and tend to have a good name in the crypto market even though altcoin price is currently very far down . but I am sure ethereum will survive and be a good choice for long term investment.

I think ethereum is better than other altcoin. Investment in ethereum tends to be safer because the price is more stable. Ethereum is getting stronger with a bigger community so prices are likely to go up and you'll get huge profits.

I see many other Altcoins are experiencing increasing developments and generating high prices and values. so it's pretty good to invest and support to have a much more increased development again with this Altcoin. so I prefer the more profitable Altcoin going forward.

I think its depending on your research and your analysis. Every person have their own analysis. I am prefer holding ethereum than altcoin because its more safe and ethereum is biggest market cap after bitcoin

 The decision to hold Ether or altcoins depends on your motives of holding. To me it's better to hold devalued altcoins in large amount than holding Ethereum, because of the huge profit I will get from devalued altcoins when the prices soar. However holding devalued altcoins is ricky so you should carry out a due diligent search on the coins you want to hold.
