Well, I know some people say United are where Liverpool was 10 years ago and in some respects it's true but it's actually much much worse for United Why?

Unlike Liverpool 10 years ago, United are spending almost at the top of the pyramid, never stopped attracting or having superstars and even the best coaches. But the mentality is simply not there. Other squads like Arsenal and even Spurs I think at least do their best and show on the field they're working hard. United have players just ballwatching and looking tired after playing only 15 minutes??? Chelsea, City, Liverpool have all played 55+ games and they look as hungry as ever. United played 43 before last night, even less than Championship teams! I saw teams like Arsenal and Liverpool when they were down and felt sympathy. It's impossible to feel sympathy for Manchester United.

One side note have to say guys, I really didn't expect to be up in the pool so late the season, more so when I'm not even taking my time making picks like in La Liga where I'm doing so badly I feel like quitting lol. 7 more games left so of course must not get complacent or rather in my case, keep random picks quick!

I missed the correct score by just one goal,had Liverpool to win 4-1 but Manchester United without Cristiano is not able to score and it looks like they depend on him heavily to score goals and win games,anyway it was widely expected for them to lose and Liverpool to win.Extremely sad news for Cristiano,I hope he will be strong and be able to pass this tremendous bad moment in his life,the loss of a child is the worse it can happen to any human.

yeah, it does seems that fight will continue between Tottenham and Arsenal, but both of those are also started to losing points, so they could leave space for United to join, you never know
but, it is sad to see United playing like this, there is no fight, nothing, and they conceived four goals, Liverpool had ball most of the time, it was not even interesting to watch, you knew the score before the match

somehow, I did not expected four goals, but it is obvious that it is easier to score 4 pieces against Manchester, than against Burnley that defends and fight for every ball

They really have good results against the big teams away from home. They drew against Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham and Leicester and won against Arsenal and Tottenham.

The only current top 10 team that beat them at home is Man Utd (they have yet to play against Wolves).

Would be a bit much to expect but City has a really easy fixture list so I'm holding on to things like these

I have set a conservative score for Manchester City to win 2-0 with Brighton because of those results you have mentioned above.However chances are really slim for them to draw here as Manchester City will be extremely focused to win this game and we all know they have the power to do so against any team not just Brighton.I expect an easy win and clean sheet from Manchester City tonight as Brighton is a team who rarely scores against teams that keep a lot the ball like City does.

easy schedule could be a hit, if they do not play at their highest, maybe FA match is still in their heads
solid results from Brighton against top10 teams, did not follow that earlier, but on the other had they have bad results against teams from Manchester away , losing to United

Nah, not away. I know Brighton beat Spurs away last week but City are a different animal and are in the title race so I'd be very surprised if they even get a point from this. A win for them tonight will take them back top but anything else will see them stay in second place.

btw. my health has been bad lately, I just turned off the TV. I can't watch United tonight. 

Be well, get better, watch football when it heals you. Been there with Liverpool, never saw Klopp coming, perhaps the only way for a club to renew is to rot completely. Happy United is down but as City has shown, you actually improve when you've got rivals as good or better than you =)

I am thinking Chelsea should win London derby today. Based on recent form and Arsenal struggles this could be a much easier game for them then usual. My bet goes on Chelsea ML @2.1 and it almost feels to good to get odds like that on this game.

Newcastle's win against Crystal Palace makes it 6 in a row at St. James' park. The last time Toon managed to do that was in 2004 under Sir Bobby Robson.

Howe is doing an incredible job there since he took over and Bruno Guimaraes really does look like a top player in the making.

Their next home game? Liverpool. Will be interesting for sure.

That Hannibal guy was lucky not to get sent off as well. It was his fault when they conceded the last goal as well, though shitty Maguire probably should take most of the blame for passing it to him whilst under-pressure. He didn't have much time to do anything before a Liverpool player was hounding him. No idea why Maguire is still captain. He probably shouldn't even be starting but United don't have much options in defence right now.

The same as it was yesterday to bet on Manchester City.By winning against Brighton Manchester City turned back the pressure to Liverpool as they are forced to win now every game because they are trailing by just one point.It is very healthy psychologically speaking for Manchester City to maintain the top of the standings why as I said all the pressure which cannot be beneficial in all the cases is completely on Liverpool.

Surprised at the lost game of Chelsea,I thought after that amazing win against Real Madrid they would easily win against Arsenal.

I guess we all agree that 4th place is not actually the hotly contested position but more rather the one everybody is allowing everybody else to take. Chelsea could have cemented 3rd spot but I still do not see anyone else overtaking them, not that there is any extra benefit to finishing 3/4? Or does it determine how you seed in Champions League,,, if so, I never really know.

Yeah, had it in an accumulator, which was for like 300k or something stupid like that. The annoying part is, the rest of the bet nearly came in. I had Man City - Brighton being 0 - 0 at half time, but I did have Chelsea either winning or a draw. That doesn't surprise me though, because whatever I bet when it involves Chelsea the opposite always bloody happens.

I thought so, and another foul probably would have meant he would have been. Although, I did notice the commentators were sort of congratulating him on it because it showed he cared. To be honest, I don't agree all I saw was a kid looking to put the pressure on, and horribly at that. He didn't win it, and wasn't close too. Any other game, and that becomes a liability.

Although, I definitely do agree that Maguire invites a lot of pressure on his teammates in general.

Nooo, why? They were doing such stellar jobs finding cheap gems like Maguire or Sancho I mean, I can scout players with price tag like that. Not like they are unknown and that you have to find them in some 3rd local league in South America.

I know Maguire is not the only reason why United is this bad but he is sort of the one inviting the jokes on his expanse. Like he is going out of his way to look ridiculous in the game. That kick to Pogba head was state of the art.

Hahaha yes man Arsenal and Totenham are two teams who plays in another universe, they can be the best and the worst at the same time, at the same week. They are quantics teams, they lose and win at the same time. This thing its well know in the university of physics london, they call this,  "schrodinger's clubs".

There are no extra benefits if you are in 3rd or 4th. Maybe you could say that you were 3rd in the season but promotion wise being in 3rd and 4th are the same. 1st to 4th will be promoted to Champions League. 5th and 6th will be in Europa. I hope I got your question right.

Chelsea had a bad time against Arsenal in the last game LOL. But still I think they have a better chance then anyone else for 3rd place. In between Arsenal and Tottenham I would bet for Arsenal over Tottenham. In last few matches they were shaken but against Chelsea they came back strong. Let's see if they can continue for rest of the matches.
