Really hate to say this but It was a close one in the end, Ronaldo saved the team against the worst team in EPL. How bad could United be if they are playing against any other top 5 teams with their current sorry state

We'll find out soon enough, since they're going to be playing Liverpool shortly. I'm thinking another dismantling is in store. I'm going to go a little more conservative, and say a 4-0, although arguably Manchester United haven't improved much from the last time we played them, but Liverpool certainly are at the top of their game right now, with some momentum behind them with the recent run we've had. Plus the extra motivation from the quadruple still being all to play for.

I would like to apologize for everyone who put Spurs in for the win,,, I actually was deep down thinking they were too good to last this long, and I think Welsh and buway were talking about Brighton maybe winning. But as a fan how I could put them to lose?

I laughed so hard on that. It is corner situation and I see Pogba pissed as hell checking his head, thinking now we will have VAR and penalty for Ronaldo. Then they show it in slow-mo and you get to see how Maguire kicks him in the face.

What is happening with that 4th CL spot, it seems like all the contenders try their best to miss it and play in EL. Both Spurs and Arsenal shitting the bad this time around.

It looks like neither of them wants,nor Arsenal nor Tottenham as they keep being not consistent and losing games against weaker opponents,Tottenham screwing it up much more than Arsenal because Tottenham was playing at home while I can justify up to a certain point Arsenal that was playing away.In the end you cannot get to the 4th place by losing games against weaker opponents especially now which after this week,only 4 remain to play plus some behind schedules games.

One thing for sure though, Maguire is probably going to do some mistake in defending thus making Liverpool score those goals

So sad that Brentford scored the goal in the 95 th minute just ruined some huge points for me. That goal in the end killed my 3 points and i could have been so close to that first place. I would have moved from 6th to 4th but now far away,oh well hopefully i win some nice points tommorow

Brentford is playing too well and I think it is all because of Ericksen. He seems to be on each and every goal they get if it by a corner he does or by a touch pass. The guy is unbelievable since joining the squad.
They will certainly be back in the EPL next season.

Also, we need to be less in the headline for letting our advantage go. I am in second minds usually about letting big teams win but watching Liverpool,,, you do not even feel bad if they win.

Something that was sad for you, can makes others happy. If Brentford would not score that goal then I would have 0 points last evening LOL. This is really a low scoring round so far.

The goal saved the day for me, and a couple of others I'd say. I'd have dropped by a few positions if not.

BUT Liverpool won Carabao cup (winner is Conference league also) AND cannot finish lower than 5th, so the extra space transfers to 8th place.

Liverpool/Chelsea will also win FA Cup, so they free up a spot in Europa as neither team can finish lower than 6th (well, technically, Chelsea still could, but they'd have to lose 3/4 games, to let Spurs, Arsenal, United catch up, but... yeah right?). So Europa spot transfers also.

Another curious thing that might happen: if City/Liverpool win UCL, then one lucky country 11th in UEFA coefficient, gets a bye to CL group stage (as they won't need to meet English team to qualify). This is Scotland currently, but if Russia don't see themselves able to play, Scotland becomes 10th, so the lucky country becomes... Ukraine. Shakhtar/Dynamo Kyiv in group stage?

it will be a lot, but aside from Champions league, English clubs do not go that far in other competitions, there is more teams from other leagues in the end
CL - 2 english, 2 spanish teams
EL - 2 german, 1 english, 1 scottish
ECL - 1 team from England, Italy, Netherland, France

my picks for titles are Liverpool, Rangers and Feyenoord, respectively

I just read your post about Ronaldo too in the rev thread, I had no idea, and definitely, it takes away from any joy, and we remember that these players are also human -- countless tales of professionals taking to the pitch despite whatever is going on around them personally. We forget sometimes in statistifying their performance that their personal affairs are never accounted for. United will miss him. They always do. Even more tonight.

all three teams, candidates for fourth place maybe should consider whether they really want to play CL next year. if they sacrifice a couple of games in the CL, (in the group stage it will certainly be less attractive opponents) and dedicate themselves entirely to PL, I believe they could make some better results and perhaps introduce a little more uncertainty. I am thinking primarily of Arsenal and Man United.
obvious examples are Leicester and West Ham, which looked bad for the weekend after the European matches.

Would have been the easiest money I've ever earned, but I didn't have time to check the line ups, and I had bloody Jota to score one didn't I, along with a bet builder which was a 56.00 bet. Everything else came in, but Jota scoring off course. My fault, I should have looked at the starting line ups, and changed my bet. I made the best a day before to be fair assuming that Jota would be in before Diaz, and then use Diaz against a tired Man Utd defense.

Anyway, what can I say this is probably one of the only times I've not been nervous facing Man Utd, usually form doesn't matter, but there's something seriously wrong in that dressing room, and it certainly isn't quality. I'm not sure what the way back is for them, and I honestly can't say who should be managing them.

I knew that it was already over for the team when Diaz scored on the 5th minute. I knew that we are going to lose but I was hoping that I could watch the team hold Liverpool during the 1st half but ended up getting crushed as if Liverpool is playing against all those bottom list teams

They only can have hope to entry in the Champions League next season because the other teams keep losing points.
