What about Greenwood? I know about all the shit that happened of the pitch but let's forget about it for the moment. I rellay liked him as a player and I was sure he is going to be big star one day. There isn't many players with his nose for a goal, especially while so young. Is he a product of United youth academy?

Man, It's funny how everyone seemed to have moved on and forgot totally about him, what a waste of career that'd be if he never gets to play football again. Yes, he grew the ranks from Man Utd after playing for about 2-3 seasons in the junior premier league, and he remind me of young Mbappe of the Monaco era, he's got amazing pace but only with a stronger left foot, even though he could also finish easily with his right. He really would have made quite a name for himself in the league, but could all be I do hope not btw.

Harkorede is right, I completely forgot about him in my post; I'm one of those who wants to see him play football again; I'm not sure if he's guilty or not, but men need to be cautious because the rate of false rape cases on the Internet nowadays is alarming; the women are not joking. Back on topic, Mason Greenwood was my second favorite player in the Manchester United squad after Mata, he's such a badass direct player, he ain't afraid of shit, he takes the ball to you and cuts you off and hits immediately at any slightest chance. He's the Academy's second best player after Rashford, and both players were trusted and promoted to the first team by Jose Mourinho. And it makes you wonder what the other coaches did after him for years, because none of them brought any academy players to the limelight.

Lol...  It's truuue!  How managers did Man U hire after Ferguson? How much money was spent on transfers since 2014?  A lot!
6 managers since 2013 + £600+m spent on transfer

But from De Gea's statement alone, I think that enough for the club to look at which top tier keeper is gonna be a free agent on January...  Any guesses?

...  Ter Stegen.  =]

I'd like to see him play in the EPL and Man United is perfect for him.  De Gea seems like he doesn't want to play there anymore.  He's been there for more than a decade now.
De Gea is the club's only valuable asset; he is exposed in every game more than any other keeper in the league. Keepers always need a proper DM for protections. Ter Stegen is a dreadful goalkeeper.
D

It was a question that obv didn't need an answer.  Lol.  But yeah something is deeply wrong with Man United.  They learned from Liverpool's demise and did everything they could to avoid the same fate.  But 10 years later, here they are...  Suffering the same fate.  What did they do wrong?  It's like they're cursed.

And are you kidding?  Ter Stefen dreadful?  Even if he could be acquired as a free transfer?

I genuinely believe its a hangover from a great manager. It's never easy to replace your manager that has basically become part of the furniture. They usually have some stubborn personalities, and usually do it a little different from the norm. Sir Alex Ferguson commanded respect, so he was able to get away with a lot of things that other managers can't. Same as Klopp when we lose Klopp I genuinely believe we'll go into another dip, unless we have another fantastic manager to back him up. There's hope in Klopp's assistant manager, and Gerrard, but we'll have to see.

Although, Man United problems do seem to extend to the board, and the fact that certain players don't get on with the board at all. Bringing back Ronaldo was probably one of the worst decisions in hindsight, since he has almost tarnished his reputation with the club. He was their legend, and now there's a bitter sweet taste left in the fans mouths.

I wouldn't call managers like Mourinho or Van Gaal bad, these are the best talents you can get for the money in the current market. The bigger problem is the eagerness of the fans and supporters. They want instant result. It took 3 years for Klopp to finally win a trophy at Liverpool. But Man Utd was so accustomed to win titles in Ferguson's era that anything less than that is a bad season for them. Solskjær was doing great but then Ronaldo came and he had to change his plans and it backfired. Now, Tan Hag who is one of the best European managers but already facing backlash after a single loss. Only if fans can remain supportive to him for a season or two like Barca doing with Xavi, he can turn the wheel of United's fortune.

I'm not trying to call them bad, but they aren't Fergie. He's the type of manager which you can't replace, and I genuinely believe Klopp could be in the same sort of line. Gerrard sounds great, but in reality its probably not going to bridge the gap for too long. Klopp, Fergie they're literally the best managers to ever grace the game, and I guess some could say Pep. I don't think Pep has the same sort of pull that these two have though, and especially hasn't been tested as much as these two. Fergie probably has the best track record out of all the managers in history.

It's the pressure of taking over such a legacy that I think causes subpar performances, and players looking to continue the same success. Basically, anyone is a downgrade on Fergie. I won't call Klopp a downgrade since I absolutely adore the man, definitely my favourite manager to ever manage Liverpool, but I suspect many would think that.

It's an unpopular opinion, but you're correct, and I've always said it, that bringing Ronaldo into the team ruined Ole's fantastic management because every player was forced to play only for him; they were much better together when they played as a team; now, the team is built around Ronaldo, and when he fails to perform, the team suffers..

We have all seen how almost every top manager rejected Ronaldo into their team this season, he was offered to Chelsea but Tuchel rejected the idea despite not having a striker in the team, having Ronaldo would bring a lot of goals but a bigger problem in the long run, his presence always limits the growth of other players, it happened to Benzema at Real Madrid, Dybala at Juventus, and now Rashford. He's a fantastic player, but he limits the ability of those around him. I hope ETH does not repeat the mistake that cost Ole his job.

I quite agree the thirst for instant results from these clubs are rather just obnoxious and overly demanding, even Arsenal that weren't doing too good for a number of seasons under Arsene Wenger have found it practically impossible to replace him, but sticking with Arteta seemed to be paying off finally. I wonder how a club will get a coach and have him spend hundreds of millions of dollars in pursuit of his own football ideas but you have no patience enough to trust the process, they sack rinse and repeat the cycle again. Guardiola despite his trophy filled  spell at City so far also struggled in his first season at Man City just like Klopp did for years at Liverpool, but it's always evident when there is a change and you can feel the work in progress even when the results aren't all favourable at the get go. If Liverpool hadn't stick with Klopp I doubt they'd have gotten out of their slumber yet.

Van Gaal was past his best days when Man United gave him the call and got him in the club.  I think the biggest mistake was hiring the genius Moyes.  It would've been different if they went straight to Mourinho.  He wasn't deteriorating yet at the time and he has always expressed his desire to manage United after Ferguson.  What could have been...

There were also some words swirling around at the time that Ferguson went to Barcelona to give Guardiola a visit during the latter's sabbatical and to ask him to be the next United manager.  He went to Bayern but I think Pep has always had his eyes set on City after Ferran Soriano and Txiki went there.

Van Gaal I liked him as a coach despite many people not liking him.He tried his best at Manchester United but unfortunately his schemes did not work well for a great team back then at the Premier League (notice I say back then because United is going to lose tomorrow too against Brentford, that is how bad they are currently).Despite this being only the second game of Premier League be ready for some surprise results especially from Man United because Brentford showed great comeback against Leicester in first game and tomorrow they are playing home.

P.S Do not forget to put your predictions as this week looks like it will have difficult games to predict correctly and I predict we will not see a score of 19 in this second week.

Yes, you are correct about his technique, and I doubt he would be a starter in any of the top six clubs right now, but what do you expect from a club that lacks a proper DM? McTom is nothing more than a squad depth player. I'm not sure, but I've always liked him; he's fearless and bold, and he has a good long-range shot. Is he a natural DM? Or he was converted

Funnily enough, he played as a striker while he was young.
He had 3 goals in 18 youth games, so I guess he wasn't really a good one Grin

He played as a central mid as well - but his primary position is a defensive one. He's tall, strong and not technically the best, so naturally he is better in the defensive part of the game.
Lol,  And he was promoted to the first team rather than loaned out to Crystal Palace? Rashford is the Academy's most notable product since Ferguson's departure; the rest have been championship-level players. If I recall correctly, Elanga was the Academy's most recent product. He's a flop, for sure. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are all performing admirably in this regard. Manchester United should invest more in their academy team; Chelsea has spent nearly €30m on academy players since Todd Boehly took over.
What about Greenwood? I know about all the shit that happened of the pitch but let's forget about it for the moment. I rellay liked him as a player and I was sure he is going to be big star one day. There isn't many players with his nose for a goal, especially while so young. Is he a product of United youth academy?

I forgot about him already. I dont think he will be back on the field anytime soon and i honestly dont see what club would even take him after that incident. But still what a shame he was a huge talent and the future of manchester united

Unfortunately, most Manchester United fans do not want to see him anywhere near the club, and the club is likely to lose some sponsorship deals as a result. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but since he hasn't been convicted, shouldn't we wait for the law to take its place before passing judgment? R.Giggs slept with his brother's wife, John Terry took his teammate's ex-wife, it's hell in football. I'd like to see Mason Greenwood return to the pitch.

Cheating does not have the same weight as rape and as such, due to the severity of the accusations, I definitely don't want to see him on the pitch.

Hell, apparently he even threw in some death threats in the mix so I'd say he's quite fucked, both in the head and for the rest of his life.

At the age of 20, other professional footballers planned to have a successful career, unlike Greenwood, who was kicked out of the England squad at the age of 19, got kicked out of Manchester United at the age of 20. Most parents are unaware of the significance of sex education at home. Well, I wish him the best of luck; nobody deserved to be raped. I remember a certain case with formal Sunderland star Gun Johnson he's still in prison

Is he in a prison/convicted? I mean my point is either let him live his life or convict him. Shouldn't we all be free until proven guilty? Don't get me wrong, I am not defending him, if he did it he deserves everything that happened.

I don't know the details, but I belive I would have heard if he ended in prison. There was a lot of talk about the case in the beginning and now there is no news so I guess it is in a sort of legal limbo now.

He has not be convicted yet, neither has he been charged to court, last thing I read with few days ago was that he was had is bail extended while the police are still going on with their investigation. Cases such as this usually take a whole lot of time to get over with, It's just similar to that Of Benjamin Mendy of Man City who have been suspend by City due to a similar accusation, although I believe Mendy's trail have began already.

I believe that's something Klopp is acutely aware off, and I know it's my speculation but that's really why he extended his contract. Agreed with Liverpool they need a succession plan so it doesn't become a rudderless club as soon as he leaves.

Part of me still believes Fergie knew what he was doing. Propped up a goalscorer to paper over everything else (van Persie), left the reins and handpicked Moyes so people would forever see the gulf in managerial quality.

Thankfully not Klopp's style (but as you say, too soon for Gerrard).

We should be worried though. Last time we met when they didn't have local fans, we got trounced 4 goals! #serious?

I agree that the court of public opinion should restrain themselves from rushing to judgment.  I only just heard about this drama, and did some searching to learn more, and I can't help but see that girl as a gold-digger.  I'm not discounting the possibility that she's telling the truth, but if their relationship was on the rocks she could have seen this as a way to get revenge or a large payday, or both.  I've seen this far too many times in American sports.

Has he been released to paly for ManU?

Anyway, what in tarnation just happened with the AV/Everton match?  It looked I was going to get exact points for about 55 minutes, then in the 85th minute things started to get crazy!  Digne with an own goal to bring Everton back in the game?  Dude!  Not that it mattered by then.  It did make for an exciting finish to an otherwise boring game.

Whatever the outcome, he may not be a member of the Manchester United team; as I previously stated, the fan base does not even want to know the outcome of the judgment because they have already passed one; we are not certain why she did what she did to the man she claims to love and was in a relationship with. We've seen so many false rape accusations, and so many people have spent their lives behind bars as a result of them. We've all seen what happened to Zouma, whose contract was about to be terminated for kicking his OWN cat, but he's still a footballer thanks to Moyes' support.

3-1 was my prediction. I scored a close point! What's going on with the Arsenal game? Why so many goals? Manchester City needs to score one more goal to match my exact scoreline.

There used to be a time when people were skeptical about these kinds of stories, and refrained from rushing to judgement.  Thanks OJ!  Roll Eyes

3-1 was my prediction. I scored a close point!

Mine was 1-0 so I scored close points also, but I WANTED EXACT!  lol

What's going on with the Arsenal game? Why so many goals?

Holy moly.  It's not broadcast here so I was going to wait until the end and catch the highlights, but I couldn't help but peak after reading your comment.  I predicted 2-0 for that one, only results ponts for me.

Manchester City needs to score one more goal to match my exact scoreline.

Lol, I predicted 3-0, so I'm still close points for now.  I actually had 4-0 in that slot up until last night, I decided to go conservative just before I locked my predictions.
