I am missing payments in my wallet that CM said were paid. Wallet address: 15GAbvstswG2yZTdBa2QAupM4JhLNM6wmd

Missing payments:

June 17, 2014 1:30am   0.01995305   159a6ccbfafdf1f39fdbc7ad3557f8aea29c6f59eeb5c88256751b63ae283c13

Payments before and after these dates have been received.

Any ideas why these payments are not being reflected in my MultiBit wallet? Any suggestions how to correct the situation?

Thank you.

Just curious I know clevermining is auto-switch and I know the coins we mine are not reveled but seems like its only LTC that gets mined! From watching my Mh/s to $ ratio and verifying with multiple coin price sites seems like its right along side LTC. Any way you can verify that you auto-switch other than telling us "YES WE AUTO-SWITCH" or " WE DON'T REVEAL WHAT WE MINE". A lot of Auto-Switch pools will show current coin being mined, its no big secret. Not showing any algo's but something showing what is getting mined! Sorry not trying to be a troll. Coming form my old pool that Auto-switched they very rarely mined LTC, and I pulled more a day than I am on CM, unfortunately my old pool had a lot of issues. Just asking! Maybe that is something that can be added in, showing what coin is currently being mined.  Undecided

Hello.

This is my first post on bitcointalk, yeah Smiley

I'm mining for over a month on CM without problems. Terk, you made a great job, thanks !

Since a few days, I realised that ~ 0.03 BTC stalls in the unexchanged funds. Terk, if you can check what's wrong, my account is : 123ta35pH43kosWrdf8rSeFUMWsVdNzETC

Thanks !

Hey terk how is that Unexchanged and Immature dating back to January coming on along. I know a while back you said you would start to work on it. If its dust clean it off the books at least.

These payments were sent correctly as can be seen in bitcoin blockchain:

If you can't see it in your wallet, then it's your wallet issue. I can't help you with MultiBit as I've never used it. Perhaps there's a support forum somewhere for MultiBit where you could seek assistance?

What we are mining depends on the very current situation in altcoins market. We also used to mine LTC very rarely and we had 160% LTC profitability when there were other more profitable coins, but there are not many such coins today, so ~50% of our hashpower goes to LTC today. But then there comes a day like previous Tuesday when there's some profitable coin and users who were at CleverMining had four days of tremendous earnings. We just catch every opportunity there is, but there needs to be one available.

There is no such thing as “currently mined coin”. Most of the time we split our hashrate between several coins, as most of coins are too small to handle all our hashpower.

Finally, the reason for not showing list of mined coins is very simple. We don't want to advertise when we add a new coin. If we're the only major pool mining such coin and others follow after 24-48h, then we're able to earn more during this time. If other big pools would follow immediately, coin difficulty would increase faster and we wouldn't be able to earn that much and the period of this coin good profitability would be shorter. Not showing list of coins is simply for your best interest.

Makes sense. If you are splitting your hashrate then yes you could not show currently mined coin as others pools who switch between mining only one coin at a time, that is why I saw current coin being mined on my old pool. Also makes sense about competitors who wold come and see what coin you are mining, probably be smaller pools which would not make much of a difference, but glad I got a response!  Grin

Thank you for your input. It was indeed the fault of my wallet. I have two separate miners with different Bitcoin addresses. Both miners are contained in one wallet under Multibit. The wallet was adding together some transactions from one miner to the transactions of the other miner. As you suggested, I will seek answers as to why this is happening elsewhere.

Hello,

I've noticed that sometimes the pool mines coins that have a lower difficulty than the current difficulty from the pool. For example I had a miner mining at 2048 diff and the pool was sending it coins with 6 - 400 diff. Using cgminer my miner seemed to continue computing shares at the 2048 difficulty. My understanding of how mining works my be incorrect, but couldn't the miner start mining at the lower difficulty and solve blocks faster than computing shares? Is this resulting in wasted hashing time?

Would it make sense for Clevermining to override the share difficulty with the block difficulty if the block difficulty is less than the share difficulty?

I'm working on writing my own mining software and I could put in an option to use the block difficulty if it is lower than the share difficulty. Would the pool reject shares that solved the block difficulty but didn't solve the share difficulty?

difficulty in cgminer is displayed wrong whet it comes to coin difficulty you should multiply the coin diff by 65535, so coin diff 4 is really  4*65535 = 262140
of that's what I've read, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Terk. Since profitability of scrypt mining is so crappy nowadays, can you consider reducing the minimum payment threshold? Other pools have moved to 0.005 daily and 0.0005 weekly.

I had to look at it for 2 minutes to find the difference between both: the "g" and "q".  However, I don't think is possible, as you can claim everyones hashrate if that's possible.   "Hey, I accidently filled in an address I used before to pay someone" .. You're pretty screwed if someone gets paid for your hashrate in that case.

However, those two addresses look really familiar. I'm interested in Terk's response, but I think it's quite hard (as it's an automated process too).  How much hashrate did you put into Clevermining last night?

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}

-> Your line here during my inactivity? Feel free to PM <-

There is a checksum so it should be possible to verify if one of the addresses has a typo. I'm also wondering why the pool doesn't check if the address is valid before authorizing.

Hi Terk. Since profitability of scrypt mining is so crappy nowadays, can you consider reducing the minimum payment threshold? Other pools have moved to 0.005 daily and 0.0005 weekly.

Do the other pools deduct bitcoin transaction fees from your payouts or cover them from their own money? Because CleverMining covers transaction fees and that's the main reason why there are limits for payouts. Sending a payout to a single user costs ~0.00000625 (there's 0.0001 bitcoin transaction fee per 1 kB and we usually have ~16 users paid per 1 kB) and CleverMining covers it from its own money.

0.00000625 is 0.63% of 0.001 BTC and 1.25% of 0.0005 BTC. While this doesn't seem much compared to the payout amount, it's huge compared to pool's fee, because pool earns 2% fee and 2% minus 0.63% = 1.37% which is how much effectively the pool earns on users who are paid amounts of ~0.001. Lowering the threshold to 0.0005 would lower pool's effective fee to 2% minus 1.25% = 0.75%.

So no, I'm not going to reduce minimal amounts for payout unless we switch to deducting bitcoin tx fees from payout amounts.

Besides, 0.0005 BTC is $0.30. You can't really buy anything with this money. I think there's no rational need for anyone to get this $0.30 earlier without waiting to accumulate the staggering $0.60 Smiley

This is a clearly a typo mistake and there's no risk/possibility that someone tries to steal funds here.  I never transfer funds to an entirely different addresses but when there is one or two chars difference, it's clear that the request is legit.
