Do you guys think multipools are the way to go at the moment?
Should we look into implementing a GPUC multipool?

already is a gpu multipool, it's not open for registrations.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Congrats Jim!! Awesome pic. I laughed. hehe

As for a calculator, I'm sure there will be plenty after coinmarketcap listing, for now try another 1 minute per block coin at coinwarz.com i just used BQC's. Change the diff, block reward and price to current values. Not sure why everyone says its not profitable(unless they remember that 40 diff. on launch day), just about the most profitable coin to mine at the moment. Someone check my figures and tell me if I am wrong.

1300 kh/s
900 watts
.12 power cost
4.6 diff
block reward 20000
pool fee 2%
.0000002 GPUC/BTC
BTC/USD 640.00
11.00+/day profit

That's with me low-balling the price to 20 satoshis, if you expect that the price will be higher after future developments then your profit on mining right now will go up accordingly.

Where can i see the pics of the rig?

Msg me if you want me to put anything here.

I have a question, GPUC is my first real experience with Alt Coins/Btc etc. I started mining FTC then I tried LEAF before coming to GPUC, How do you guys store your coins? on Exchanges or on your wallet on your pc, because I feel a PC can crash at any moment wouldn't you lose all the coin? Also with the recent shut down of exchanges there's a risk of losing them there as well...so whats a guy to do? I've only been mining for a month or less.

Backup your wallet.dat file to something off of your computer. In the event of a crash, HDD failure, whatever all you'll have to do is download the wallet again and replace the new wallet .dat with your backup.

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

back up your coins to a flash drive, another computer, and w/e else.
i keep some on exchange, some on flash, some on another hard drive.

if the OS crashes, you can still access the files on the computer with a live linux distro or by plugging it into another computer.
unless the drive is faulty then no real worry. but do back up your wallet anytime you've got a new deposit and to more than one device/location.

It's recommended that you make a backup copy once a week. look for the  wallet.dat file in your C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming then look in the wallet folder that you want to backup. Copy the wallet.dat file to a usb drive  just make sure to rename after it reaches it's destination (if you are backing up multiple wallets on same usb drive) so you know what wallet it belongs to. Then if you do have a HD failure you simply redownload the wallet take your wallet.dat file from your usb drive and replace it with the one that is in the wallet folder. (don't forget to change name back to wallet.dat). Close wallet, reopen wallet, let it sync and you are done.

Much easier to just do an Acronis image backup of your whole C: drive every weekend.
If you get a virus or hd failure, you have EVERYTHING back, not just your wallet.

P.S. Hendrix and Waltsmith, I believe you guys said the store's website (beta) would
be live today for us to check out.  Can you post a link? And your profit calculation is
way off, it is 1/2 of what you stated because scrypt-n gives you 1/2 the mh/s, and my
power is like 17c/kwh also. So mining is breaking even at best now.  Need a big rise in
price with store.

If it's half it's because you are hashing at 650 kh/s . Numbers were based on 1300 kh/s

Actually, no. I mine at 2850kh/s regular scrypt. 1300kh/s is what i get with scrypt-n. So, no, my figures are accurate in that respect. Coin is very profitable even now.

Hmm, my hash is about the same, but my power costs a little more.
It just seems that mining and selling at 20 satoshi makes less per
day than at wafflepool, clevermining, hashcows, trademybit.
Walt, it is less profitable at current price, but we are hoping for
price to increase with store in a week I suppose.

Hello All,
I'm happy to announce the completion of the ALPHA version of the website.  Everything to open the store front is complete but needs to be tested.  I am hoping to have some extra features coded as well by launch (Sunday 3/23) but I'm not sure if that will happen.  If you are willing to donate 30 minutes or so, I was hoping to get 5-10 bug testers (to try to break the site / give feedback)...if you are interested please PM me.

I know its lame but here is a (censored) screenshot  : http://imgur.com/erDcS11

This upcoming week is going to be an important one for GPU Coin. I spoke with CEO a few hours ago and this upcoming week we are going to finalize our team and focus on coin promotion.  We have decided to redo the primary website (gpucoin.net) to coincide with the store launch which requires us to determine our investment sales pitch and finalize an official marketing plan. Again anyone interested in helping with this process PM the CEO @ 'GPU Coin'.  If he hasn't gotten back to your PM already please give him till Tuesday night.

Lastly, for those interested, our shipment of graphics cards is expected this Wednesday (3/19). I'm going to sign off for the night.....I'll be in contact tomorrow.

Am I the only one who thinks once people actually hear about GPUC price is going 10x or even 20x?

Especially when the site will be up?
