I also think if they can advertise/expand the Market place where users can buy/sell stuff would also make it grow rapidly. For example I can sell my GPU's for GPUC as well.

What's wrong with this market?

https://gpucoinstore.com/market/index.php

You can list whatever you want. Even a GPU Smiley The only difference is that the price is fixed in GPUCoins!

What?! I didn't even notice that the site had its own marketplace:D

^^^^^^ THIS.

PUT THE GODDAMN STORE/MARKETPLACE NEWS IN THE OP AND THREAD SUBJECT!!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

One thing the 'market'  NEEDS is prices set in $ OR GPUC.  And then in the former case, have the GPUC price vary based on market.  Shouldn't be hard to do.  But then I'm not doing it.. .  Wink

Market feature that would be nice is to send a message to the seller to ask a question about product.

No, right now only the main page's Graphic cards are reflecting and adjusting to teh market rates. The items in the "market" are fixed and not varying to the market.

Look guys, If you want to place blame on someone for the OP not being updated, then place it squarely upon my head more than anyone else's.
I can't update it, only GPUcoin can, however, he relys upon me to tell him when something important needs done in the forum. My only excuse is I am a fulltime firefighter and was at work yesterday, while I was able to pop on a couple times yesterday evening and catch up, even made a couple quick comments, it was a busy day and night at work. Had to wait till I got home to get a nap in. However I'm going to tell him shortly what needs updating. And, honestly, I had considered asking him to lock this rather lengthy thread and start a new one since the coin is in a new phase of its existence. Any special info you think needs to be updated or added to the OP, or opinions on whether to lock this one or not. Please post them here in the next few hours. I'll wait that long to send him a list of the changes we need made.

mintpal
they used to permit you to vote up without even having an account.
now you need an account + have traded on their service.

was pretty sure i used them to sell some coins before, mint coin actually. but guess not.
someone want to give me a worthless coin in my wallet there so i can dump it then get to voting?

just let me know what coin and i'll post you a wallet so i can get cracking with the votes.

MintPal is overrated. All we need is people who like the store/marketplace and use it. That's it! Unfortunately, many haven't even heard of the progress GPUCoin made in the past week!

Ok, I think everyone is in agreement that a new, uncluttered thread is called for at this point. I'm gonna give everyone some more time to state their opinons on things since there seem to be quite a few coming in and not everyone has had a chance yet.
As for difficulty, I see it like an exchange price history graph, ups and downs, but as long as it settles at a higher level than before, we are still growing.

here's what i advise, NO POOL SPAM, no auction/prize crap if its not officially from the dev team, both get reported as spam.
Pools should be listed by least amount of fees and best payouts.
Each official reply from dev/helpers should also add it to "FAQ" on the offical forum and link to it for further help. this way we can further slim down the new thread. that forum is setup with the intent to help people without a cluster of crap in one post.
in short lets keep the new thread clean, slimmed down, and push people more to using the official site/forum.
if any help is needed to facilitate this, i'm in to help. i've personally ran and managed many forums in my life, i'm here to help Smiley
