For Anyone downloading ZeitCoin for the 1st time and you don't want to wait for the Blockchain to download from the beginning. Go to the Following Link to get a copy of the Zeitcoin Blockchain from Oct. 15th, 2014. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3a3l0akth7dpoeg/ZeitCoin-Blockchain.zip?dl=0Make sure Zeitcoin is closed Then Unpack and copy & replace the files from Zeitcoin-Blockchain into C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last Monthly update instead of the start.

That way if someone clicks on an old post they will still get the latest blockchain.

Ahh tis good to see Zeit thread properly active again. Stevegreer gets 1mil Zeit for the blogpost. For 250k coins .. PM me your Zeit wallet address .. (since I'm away from tomorrow evening) .. for the next 26 hours from now (which is 13:00 UTC - 2pm UK, 3pm EU).
Several million Zeits are gathering dust for past week on Cryptsy .. like to get 10mil before withdrawing and do not leave them on exchange to gain interest

Been away for 36 hours, family stuff. But been thinking - I know that's dangerous! More & more I'm preferring "ZeitKnights" for the official name of our 'steering body', rather than council/counsel. Further, that our principles should be based on the old 'Rules of Chivalry' as well as the Zeitgeist movie. Means rather than copying other coins, we are setting a unique (if venerable) code of conduct for how we proceed into the future. "Chivalry! – why, maiden, she is the nurse of pure and high affection – the stay of the oppressed, the redresser of grievances, the curb of the power of the tyrant – Nobility were but an empty name without her, and liberty finds the best protection in her lance and her sword.” —Walter Scott, Ivanhoe (1820) I've a lot to catch up on before I have time to develop the theme, but thought I'd throw it out there straightaway for consideration. @Varvarin:- Good to see you back, and thank you for your generosity

.. @Varvarin:- Good to see you back, and thank you for your generosity Thanks .. never left really. Busy summer and quietly picking up cheap coins to stake. Mining is dead for most people now, I'm running a 5 gpu x11 750ti rig and it generates nothing - should have just dumped all my cards (had 30 .. sheesh, sold most) and ended there before summer, but this X11 rig uses 360w power only. Hyperstake (HYP) has insane interest and is gathering a lot of attention as more are dumping low interest coins like BC etc., just need to point them to Zeit's nice interest. I'm hoping the wallet is a bit better this time and loads faster. Not sure who did HempCoin - THC - wallet update, but it was a dog and now is very speedy loading up.

Thoughts? For several months developers have used Bitcointalk.org as a hub to launch their projects. In the early days of the altcoin boom launching altcoin projects on Bitcointalk.org was acceptable and highly effective, regrettably this is no longer the case. Launching projects on Bitcointalk.org has become increasingly toxic to legitimate projects, due to organized groups intent on relentlessly damaging or completely destroying competing projects. Lack of sensible moderation on Bitcointalk.org has allowed these groups to go uncontested, and many legitimate projects have severely suffered because of the "anything goes" culture of the forum.
Developers launching new projects should consider alternative platforms to avoid becoming a victim of baseless attacks and misinformation. No platform is free from "trolls" and individuals intent on hindering projects, but a decent platform with adequate moderation will dramatically limit the damage caused by these nefarious individuals.
Thankfully new platforms are popping up and experienced developers are making a move to one or more of these new platforms. Before crypto can be taken serious we as a community need to change the landscape. If we continue to do what we have been doing for several months, we will continue to keep getting negative results.

http://coinblab.com/forums/topic/14/stop-launching-projects-on-bitcointalk-org/view/post_id/29Fully agree. Socialbot (XBoT) is the most recent example of pure fuders going unpunished. the idea behind the coin, a Twitter bot works perfectly smooth from the day one, trolls and fuders pushed down the price to somewhere below 2k with less than 2M coins. Good that we have Lion-in-charge in here!
