More & more I'm preferring "ZeitKnights" for the official name of our 'steering body', rather than council/counsel.

Further, that our principles should be based on the old 'Rules of Chivalry' as well as the Zeitgeist movie.

Means rather than copying other coins, we are setting a unique (if venerable) code of conduct for how we proceed into the future.

Quote
"Chivalry! – why, maiden, she is the nurse of pure and high affection – the stay of the oppressed, the redresser of grievances, the curb of the power of the tyrant – Nobility were but an empty name without her, and liberty finds the best protection in her lance and her sword.” —Walter Scott, Ivanhoe (1820)

+1
 Cool

Once the registration begins in 2015, Being the ZeitKnights instead of the Zeit Counsel sounds like a good idea.

I'm the same username there, of course!

I've filled in as much as I can about us, and I'll give editing permissions to any #ZeitKnights who 'come over' as well.

@kiklo - approval appreciated, sig-line already changed Grin

Zeit is one of my first investments in crypto.
In that time there were two coins traded for few satoshis that experienced a pump in the same day and died more or less in the same time. (Dying for me was de-listing from mintpal back then), the other coin was ECC.

Now, you can see both coins struggling to come back to life, and it seems ECC is on the way to make it, as it increased around 500% in price in the last week.

Zeit is on the right path, and I wish all of us success with the rebirth.

Have more or less the same experience with ZEIT, back from the early days at Coinex.pw.
It was actually my first successful trade, remember it coming to double digits in satoshi.
And then came de-listing from BTC to LTC market at Mintpal and being almost par with CTM coin.
we have come the long way, and now it seems there is a light in a tunnel.

Same here.

The launch of ZEIT was a great experience.
The delisting on Mintpal later, was embarrassing - but it at the end, it was our fault.
No active trading is the death for every coin.

Now Mintpal is delisted from the market. Irony?

Don't take the blame for mintpal,
There was a lot of Shady stuff going on there,

I believe they were keeping most of the zeitcoins in a hot wallet and selling the zeit interest back on the exchange.
That why the Dumpers always sold zeitcoins for anything they could get, killing zeit's price.
Because it was Free interest to them.
Mintpal had ~1 billion zeitcoins on their exchange, that was alot of interest they could have sold back on the market and no laws or regulations to stop them it was free money.
They were doing the same thing with vericoin POS and a hacker swiped those coins from their hot wallet, which cause that mess, and led to them selling the exchange.

Also Zeit still had a massive amount of buy orders at 2 satochi in the bitcoin market when they dropped them to litecoin only and then later delisted them when there was still trading going on in the litecoin market. And just to show the comparison Pandacoin PND had No Buy orders ( 0 ) at all on the bitcoin market for weeks and they did not drop their bitcoin market.

MintPal original owner was dirty and he got caught with vericoin, but he did it with all POS coins.
And the ones with a decent interest rate and a large number of coins on the exchange were harmed by their deeds.

The Best thing Mintpal ever did , was delist zeitcoin from their dirty exchange.

FYI:

Cryptsy had an issue with a hardware failure.

Entire exchange is currently offline.

If you need any zeit trading before they are back online,

Comkort & Lazycoins are up.

Cryptsy is slowly coming back to life. Trading will be resumed shortly, the last two nodes have to finish syncing.

zeitcoin 63/62 at cryptsy.
The big sell- wall has gone ( invested a little bit).
Buy Support at 62 is welcome. The wall is not high enough - just about 6 ltc.

I'll be doing my weekly bit around lunchtime 2moz, when I trade my Blake coins into LTC.
(Except UMO, which is WAY undervalued right now. Gonna roll them over for another week or more)

I've had a private 'heads up' that the new coin Iconic Expert is launching next week will be 'little fish friendly' so knowing how clued-up he is from twatter, I may give that a shot for a while.

Wish a few of the 'wise & mature' Zeiters would come & give CoinBlab a whirl too - they really are trying to build a better, more professional - even saner - community over there. I know this thread is pretty sane (having a guard-Lion has probably helped Wink ) but those who roam the wilder parts of this board will know exactly what I mean.

Nice to see interest in our coin is gaining momentum again. Glad I have been able to buy a small piece of the pie for cheap (along with some very generous donations!) before the price rise.

I understand that there are some of us who are worried that too rapid of a price rise may be an open door invitation for the whales who almost drowned us previously to return and work their evil biddings yet again. However, I feel that there are enough of us true believers who are holding heavy enough bags to fend them off for now. Unless they come in with some serious dough of their own. Honestly, I think the whales will tend to stay away until Zeit is relisted on the BTC exchange on Cryptsy. Comkort seems to be free of whales so far (fingers crossed!).

By the way, I am not learned in the ways of interpreting block-chain to english language. Do we have any idea, or any real way of knowing, how many Zeit have been mined/minted so far? Just curious is all.
