That's too bad about being sniped last minute on SouthXChange. I went there Tuesday night to place a few votes, but I saw we were over 500 and in first place so I didn't. :/ Does anyone know the exact time that the voting ends each week?

Yes, it was very suspect. 4/5 of the top coins, have no websites and have not had any votes since October. Then out of the blue 200 votes pop up on one of them to put them 100 past ours, so we have to put at least 100 to top them. So no big deal, we can wait a week or two, until it is our turn - keep throwing a few votes still is a good thing to show interest, but not no reason to overdo it.....We are pursuing 2 others, but hopefully we get going on one or more in the next week or two. Thanks for your support. |

My suggestions are: 100k GUN collateral per masternode, maybe 75% / 20% / 5% split. In other coins I have seen it remain something like 65% / 35% and the 10% superblock (or governance funding) just happens once a month, on top of the split. So in this case, I really mean 75% / 25% and 5% equivalent in the superblock. Please make sure with your coin dev, and if you need some help, I can try to get some masternode coin devs to look into GUN.
I'm not sure if it will have to be a hard fork or completely new chain, because when XLR switched algorithms and added masternodes, it was a new chain and a swap was implemented. Perhaps an "in-place" swap if ever that is needed, which means using a snapshot and the same private keys and addresses for the new chain.
But if it's just a hard fork, that will work better. You need to announce several weeks in advance when the date or future block is, or as some coins do it, they use a spork to activate the fork after majority have upgraded, sort of like a 2 step process.
Well, we appreciate the input dabs. We think we stay with Neoscrypt - it is very solid and we have not seen anything that we like better. Everyone would get plenty of time to buy up coins and get their masternodes going once we get them done and the new code launched. It will be a hard fork for sure. We still have a few stragglers running 1.4, and 1.5.1. Need to get them moved up to 1.5.3. |

But should be getting started the week after next - hoping to be testing them in late March or early April worst case if all goes well. |

I don't know what to think about this. Everybody should be entitled to do whatever he wants, but when it comes to deadly firearms it somehow feels different. Is this going to be an anonymous coin that is supposed to be used for gun purchases? Do you think that this would ever be in compliance with the law?

Guess what - all crypto coins are basically anonymous and will probably become more so as time goes on. But guess what - so is CASH. ANY gun sold for cash has bypassed all means of financial traceability. When buying firearms legally, the seller knows who you are. If it's a gun store, they ask you to fill up all sorts of paperwork and they do an instant background check, or they ask for some sort of license or permit or something. Same with ammo.
GUNCOIN, in it's current form, is very easily traceable if you have the transaction hash, or addresses. Later on, it might include some form of obfuscation or zerocoin or something, but not yet. In coins that do have them, it's not used very much unless they involve staking.

Yes, that is good they have us there. I have contacted the block explorer and they have switched so we have a market cap again. WITH BTC being up $200+ today. our market cap is in a lot better shape. Trading is between 25-35 sats which is great. We have alerted CoinmarketCap - but have no word back from them yet. |

You don't need a gun. However, I argue it's always a good idea to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
I have backups. My backups have backups. I have a fire extinguisher. I have 911 on speed-dial. I have insurance, all the types. I hope never to use those things.
But really, when seconds count, police are a minutes away. Maybe 2 minutes at the fastest. 7 minutes on average.
