Yes, we would like to do that - but of course, there is always a cost. 0.25 BTC is pretty steep at this point for this example

In regards to https://p.ginplatform.io/, it is not clear how coins are added.  It appears, that you subscribe and then they add your coin.  That may be all that is needed for someone that wants a masternode, it could easily be done there.

Seeing real good volume today for GUN on SouthXChange and the price has doubled in the last 24 hours up to 18 sats.  Also seen a few more masternodes added this week!

I just read the manual on github to run a masternode.
Is it correct that you have to send 200k coins to the wallet on the masternode server and not keep them locked in the local wallet ?
I run a couple of other masternodes and they just lock the coins in the local wallet/generate a masternode privatekey for the server.

The Gun 2.0 wallet has a blocktemplate which is incompatible with our stratum server and we've had to stop mining GUN.

GUN was one of the first coins on Hash Refinery and we're sad to see it go. It has been one of the few altcoins where we paid out more than we mine making us a net buyer of GUN on exchanges.

We lost around around 150k GUN in the Cryptopia hack through a withdrawal that got 'stuck' in the days before the hack and this put us behind on payments. Remaining unpaid balances will be paid before GUN is completely removed form the pool.

That's the masternode and developer additions, those must be added to the coinbase on blocks after the fork if they are present in getblocktemplate.

This is my issue as well, I'm still trying to run a cold/hot setup with separate wallets: one on the server or VPS and the control wallet on my desktop.

I'll give it a few more days and if it still doesn't work, I'm going to try something on my home server (where I retain full control of the VM / VPS) and see if that works.

For all of those running masternodes and sending the coins to the wallet address that is on the VPS itself, I advice you to export the private key and back it up. If the VPS ever goes down for any reason, if you forget to pay the bill, if the provider does not keep backups, and the instance is wiped or destroyed, there goes your coins.

Things would be way easyer if there would be dynamic ip support in masternode servers.

I'm holding out to start a couple of masternodes, i like my guncoins to much to just send them in the cloud.......

I dunno ... something is still wrong (or something is not right?) or could be better. There should be more masternodes running, but that only 10 people have been able to keep them running until today ... I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong and can't launch my masternode. I guess I'll try again and do a fresh transaction.

Well, I am not sure what the issue is on yours.  We have someone that just got a masternode set up and running on a Rasberry Pi and it has now been running perfectly and getting paid for 24 hours.  So things are working......

So we need all the pools mining Guncoin to please update their damons.  We had to make some adjustments this morning and I suspect you all got disconnected.  The GuncoinPool.com is up and running, but no one else.  So we need the rest of you to update to get back processing blocks again and get the hash rate back up.

We have a couple of things to report in regards to exchanges for Guncoin.  First, we are sad to report that Nova Exchange will be closing on October 9.   Nova has been a good exchange for Guncoin, but they never accepted USA customers, so they were limited in what they could support.  Please remove your coins as soon as possible.  If you have no coins at all with them, I think empty accounts have been locked.

Second, we have exchanged emails with Cryptopia in regards to how the pending liquidation will be handled and will proceed.  While we have no details yet,  it appears to the Guncoin team they will make all efforts to return all available legitimate coins to legitimate account holders.  They have provided no time table for all of this, but we view this as good news that the process is moving forward and our community can get some more of their coins back.  More news when we get it.
