I expect Veil to be traded on more exchangers to be able to grow a wider community and investor support.

Yes, the team is working very hard to get traded in more exchanges and which team members are very much active in all the social media which will help the community to get more exposure. With the active team and active developments will always have a very huge demand for the coin.

Its currently being traded on 3 exchanges and veil does not need another exchange since it will just split the current trading volume. What it needs now is more marketing for project exposure and to get more investors and holders for the project

the standard course of marketing strategy is not appropriate now. it is worth looking for new opportunities and new ways of popularization. I think, this team already knows, how to do it

I turned on prune mode. I restarted the software and got this error: “Prune mode is incompatible with -txindex”.
Now when I start (v1.0.3.0), I get a window with this error. When I close this window, the main window closes also. There is no possibility to go the settings.

Wait for a reply from team before trying this but maybe you can try deleting the wallet-qt and re-installing the wallet? If you follow this step don't forget to back up your wallet.dat file

This is impossible, because when you close the window with an error, the wallet closes. I did not have a backup before

I was under the impression that "PRUNE" wasn't available yet, which is why we are using 7-8Gb snapshots.

How did you turn on this mode in the first place?

So how much of a problem this zerocoin vulnerability is for Veil. If it fixable? Can anyone tech-savvy enough come forward to explain it please?

The vulnerability is not possible to exploit in Veil anymore since we deanonymized Zerocoin as a short-term solution, but our devs are working towards finding and implementing a permanent solution, and that is definitely possible.

That was your mistake, pruning isn't implemented yet. To reverse open veil.config and remove any line found there then edit bPrune key in registry by setting it to "false" (\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Veil\Veil-Qt).

Maybe the dev decided it's time to cash out and move on

They have similar block reward models (they include founders rewards) and that is what I'm referring to.

Veil is not associated with ZEC as far as I know, but there are VERY FEW projects which have founders rewards. So the example of the ZEC founder DUMPING his rewards gives me a lot of reason for concern about other projects with founders rewards.

Can the VEIL team give me some assurances that the founder isn't going to dump this project into the ground?

Why do founders rewards even exist? They exist so one individual (the founder) can get rich. VEIL is a Privacy coin. Privacy coins are used in Niche markets and will never come close to having global adoption on a mass scale. If you have to ask why then I don't have the time to explain this to you.... What I'm saying is the founder isn't going to limit his wealth (acquired in VEIL) to Niche markets. He's going to cash in at some point. Can somebody from the VEIL team explain to me why this won't be the case? The tech is fantastic but I can't help but think this is doomed to fail because of the economics.

And remember just try to put all of your coins into that staking wallet to able get some veil from the network. More veil and more emission that we can get from the network.

If that is true then we didn't made a mistake on supporting this project and my observance is that the team are very professional and capable of successfully developing this one. Also, I like Veil's support site which is filled with useful information and  technical knowledge-base on how the project works which are very informative to the community.

you can create the veil.conf file in the appdata folder.
Still though, there is no need to create it, if you just want to open the wallet to stake and you get nodes to connect to.
