I wish the price was declining so my bag would get filled. Nobody is selling. Price of Veil might go down a little bit more against bitcoin if BTC continuous the run it is currently on. So it's highly possible that your bag will get filled I also opened an order at around 3.3k let's see what happens next.

Now the price of Bitcoin seems to be an upward trend and it might be possible the price of Veil slowly decrease in the market and it might be chance for the people who kept the lower order because soon those order might be executed where we can grab the coin at the lower price again.

In light with recently discovered vulnerabilities on Zerocoin based projects, it is interesting to note that VEIL will not be using or implementing anymore Zerocoin technology as the base core of its protocol as per their official blog - https://veil-project.com/blog/2019-05-09-state-of-veil/ . Any thoughts about this?

Yes the team are quick on addressing that critical issue and thankfully the network was not compromised thanks to their effort and capability and since this incident, I'm now more confident in the team's capacity to make the project fully developed as planned.

I can say we are somewhat fortunate that this incident happened earlier giving the team ample time to do its best to achieve VEIL's goals.

The downside of the wallet update, is that it removes the anonymity feature of Zerocoin,
Regarding that, would appreciate if someone explain me the following: if some amount of Veil is sent from bv1 address to sv1 one both of them will be deanonymized insofar as they signal transaction and anyone will be able to find out that?

I congratulate to both VeilDango for coming Full Member rank, and VEIL for this successful partnership with Blockfolio. In addition, on txbit.io exchange, VEIL has double bottomed out, so I guess that the coin will bounce back from its double bottom soon. It's hard to say how many satoshis the VEIL coin can bounce back from its temporary price around 3650 satoshis because total volume of the coin on txbit over last day has been still too low, just nearly 0.04 BTC. Personally, I will wait VEIL to raise around 5000 satoshis this time. *snipped the image*
Could take some time to back up in satoshis, looks like it can't deal very well with all the incoming bounties and the bitcoin surge... Almost trough the 2000sat now

I think VEIL's price will be the least concern for us as long as the development team continuous to have active development on the project and pursue it goals and mission, then I guess well be alright. Additionally these things and challenges could even make VEIL more stronger and be competitive over time.

Bounty distribution is ongoing and that certainly must have put some downward pressure on the price of Veil lately. I would expect that to reverse itself once the distribution is finished. Now would be a good time to buy though.

You are over-estimating the impact from the bounty campaign. The bounty pool is around 75,000 coins per month. And the daily volumes are around 150,000 to 250,000 coins (which comes to 6 million coins per month). That means that even of all the bounty hunters are dumping their coins, it will represent just 1.2% of the total traded volume.

Bounty pools can not be used to manipulate price and should not be used like this. However, I believe that other projects sufferred same tough period as well due to the rises of bitcoin. People all try to sell their altcoins, then buy bitcoin and hold it to enjoy bitcoin increases. Therefore, most of altcoins have fallen down around 30 percent to 50 percent during last two or three weeks. I don't think there are serious things with VEIL and its promotions. The coin has suffered from bitcoin latest movements.

Bounty has been quite effective based upon analytics, but the recent Zerocoin vulnerability news did have an impact on price. The bounty funds are being released gradually to minimize the impact it can have on price, and we limit how much a bounty hunter can earn to between ~500-1,000 Veil per bounty hunter a month. The team's priority is finding the best privacy protocol replacement for Zerocoin, and although it will take months of additional development time, I believe moving away from Zerocoin to a new protocol will be for the project's long-term benefit even if the specific Zerocoin vulnerability did not exist. Will dandelion will be the new the algorithm that the Veil will work on? Or it's an entirely a different thing?
Dandelion protocol provides IP anonymity and works in conjunction with a blockchain-level privacy protocol. Dandelion for Veil has been coded and is in testing phase.

Hmm.. during the last 7 days, the exchange rate (versus Bitcoin) has fallen by as much as 50%. Today also, Veil fell by another 17%. This is unlike the case with the established altcoins, most of which are going up. One of the top-5 alts, Ripple has gone up by 20% during the past 24 hours. One thing I have noticed is that today the volumes are down. So the only explanation for the recent price movement is that the supply remained the same, while the demand showed a decline.

Well, except that the supply increased by some 70-80k coins since yesterday... Got to remember the high emission rate from mining and staking This is a big reason why this coin should and will be very volitile regardless of what is going on in the background. There is no stable price this coin can hold in the short term.

All non-top alt coins are mostly bleeding and veil is no exception since most people prefer to HOLD BTC right now to ride the current money train. And if anyone are looking for a good coin to hold this is a good buying opportunity for everyone when real alt season start to pick up.
