Holding more than 10000 veil coin will always help to get on stake on daily basis, but some time we are facing wallet issues which it is impossible for us to run the wallets on 24/7 basis because surely it can damage the hardware by keep on charging the device, so they need to implement POS model it will help the community.
With 10000 VEIL coins used for staking, how many coins you get back as daily staking rewards, in avergage? I ask this because I would like a make an estimation on how long I can get my fund back with assumed staking rewards and assume price of VEIL.

The staking difficulty is rising everyday. We are currenty at about 50% supply for the year before rewards drop.

So. Basically 10k coins will gradually get less and less blocks. Making it nearly impossible to determine how long before ROI.

But. As a guess, and based past results. Expect about 10% a month for now.
About 1 year and you should have doubled your holdings from staking

I installed the Veil wallet almost a month back (Veil 1.0.3). Till now, everything was working perfectly. But suddenly the wallet has stopped syncing. It is stuck at 96% (last blocktime July 8 20:40:56). I checked the net connection and firewall settings, and everything is OK. Can someone please help me so that I can sync my wallet to the latest block?

Hey Vishnu.Reang. Please follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Advanced options > Console > and type in command getbestblockhash
2. Copy the result that the wallet gives you.
3. Paste that result into this command: reconsiderblock PASTERESULTHERE

I would also recommend updating to the newest wallet (v1.0.3.1) if you haven't already, as it fixes some syncing issues from v1.0.3.0.

Hi everyone, I run veil wallet 1.0.3.1(win64) and send some veil to it, then I had 9990 zerocoin to stake like this:

But I wait more than 6 hours, nothing happened, there is no reward coin...
Please help me!

With that amount, I believe you would get 1 stake every 2 days, so wait a bit more. Also, ask in their telegram, they are more responsive there.

Use a vps (they start at like $5 a month), you should not be running this wallet all time on your pc.

with a vps you don’t have full control of your node, so it’s not recommended.

Thank you so much!!!

It worked like a charm and now I am able to sync my wallet. My internet connection is a bit slow, and therefore even after 2 hours the sync process is not completed (it is at 99% now). And thanks for your advice to upgrade to the latest version (v.1.0.3.1). Once the sync is complete, I will install the updated version. Hope that I won't face any difficulty this time.

I don't understand, how come you don't have full control when running on vps?

I thought that there was a mistake about that, some people said to able get 1 stakes and at least 15k coins were needed and it looks like the requirement is increase right onw.
If you are aiming to get 1 stakes and that was about 50 veil in a day CMIIW

Don't forget that the staking rate is affected by how many thousands of coins the developers are currently staking themselves.

It's really unfair for the developers to do that to the community but this is their reasoning: "we need to get paid bruh. you don't want us to get paid bruh?"

Remember also that these same developers are behind PIVX and they dumped PIVX right before the zero coin vulnerability was revealed (ahem  Roll Eyes). They have already cashed out from PIVX and made tons of $$$. They held most of the PIVX masternodes and cashed them out.

Wallet 1.0.3.1-73e038305 is not sync. Add 100 nodes to file veil.conf from pools. Last block 262351 in wallet. Rescan was make.

There should be no need to manually add nodes to your wallet. Please try this solution:

1. Go to Settings > Advanced options > Console > and type in command getbestblockhash
2. Copy the result that the wallet gives you.
3. Paste that result into this command: reconsiderblock PASTERESULTHERE

RingCT staking is getting closer, that could be a reason, or maybe more people have learnt about the upcoming Sonic zk-snark based protocol.

Glad to see all those pesty bugs being ironed out , its a pleasure to use the wallet by now and it gets only better Smiley

Yeah it can always be a bumpy ride when you're the first with a new product Cheesy The best part is that the team is very very active, every stage brings major improvements Cheesy

Slow is the way to go when dealing with unchcarted territories. It also builds investor confidence watching actual development take place and those annoying bugs and glitches get fixed.

Lots to look forward to here. Low marketcap means tons of room for explosive growth.
