What will happen if all investors chose the "risk free" option? They say in that PDF that they will freeze all the funds received from the contributors who chose that option, so, they launch an ICO, they receive funds, but they can't use them to develop their project, what's the point of launching an ICO then?

I'm sure, this really isn't risk free at all, because there really isn't such a thing. Even if there are, the company will not get any profit, instead they will suffer losses. Even real work, also has its own risks. Bitcoin and major coin just have a risk when we invest in it

It is a great video interview and you get a good overview of the Tachain project. The COO explains the different possibilities of advertising and transport. I follow Tachain for some months, but I don't think that it is a riskfree investment.

Guys are offering risk-free investment opportunity, in my opinion this is a great idea which might change the way people think about ICOs and participate in them.

I personally have lost a portion of my money by investing in ICOs last and this year, but this idea is just brilliant - you can wait for 1 year, see what happens to the project and then (before they go mainnet) decide what to do - either to stay with the project and get mainnet coins, or to exchange them back into the same amount of ETH/BTC invested.

I was talking to the admins the other day about their process of enrolling taxi drivers. Apparently they have around 3000 signed up spread all over the Philippines. They only sign up official taxi drivers. I forget to ask about the authorization required to advertise through those though.

There is nothing like risk free ICO, the risk may be low but to say risk free then that is a false claim. I think what I am interested in here is if the  ICO pass Howe Test, is it a security or not, because this is what will certainly bring down most projects in 2019 and people are not putting pressure on the developers to clarify this before investing in their project

yeah, i agree with your statement i believe 2019 will see less ICOs because the most project would definitely not pass the Howe Test and some form of security check will help fight fake ICOs

Many people here say that this project is not risk-free, so they're right because first of all this ICO and the crypto world is really full of risky things when it comes to it. But it's hardly impossible to get a risk-free project here as well as 100% risk-free and at least there is a risk-free% that investors will be happy and satisfy with it.

I agree buddy, It's really unavailable to have some risk free investments here but if there's really something like that how they will going to do it on actual. But I think it's applicable only some circumtances before their risk free investments will work like if they will not going to achieve something that they expected to continue the project right?

In my opinion there's nothing called as risk-free stuff in this world. Hell, we can even die just by running. Also, there's a lot of projects out there stated the same thing, but all of them are a scam project. I'm not saying this is a scam project though.

Honestly, by investing into this project is already a risk. How do we know they will send our token? not to mention there's no a single video about the team.

So the whole crap about the risk-free is bullshit.

I have also been following this project for quite some time already and I disagree with you. There are lots of videos on YouTube, guys also have good ratings on sites like ICObench and have gone through KYC procedure there. So, it does not look like a scam coin. They could have made better PR, yes

Moreover, they have MVP that can be downloaded from AppStore - this proves that they themselves have already invested money in the project before the ICO.

And idea is actually great, smart token design which makes their coin a demanded tool.

I agree with you that there is a risk in everything. What they offer is to exchange the same amount of ETH/BTC invested into the same amount of tokens received. So, yes, there is potential risk that ETH and BTC goes to zero and in USD terms you will still loose money. But if you HODL, investing here it is the same as HODLing, but with additional upside potential. I believe in this project

There are lots of people who have belief in this project. No doubt about that. Thats also the reason, they reached softcap already. I agree with you that there always be some risks involved. May be project is claiming too much even though the risk might be definitely lower than the other projects out there in the market.

Yea, every investment has its own risk attached to it, investment is a risky thing, no matter how authentic it is and with such comes the need for investors to have some sort of protection, which can come in various forms, example of such is the money back guarantee but i'm yet to see this in action when it comes to the blockchain industry

I think there should be some projects that have actually returned users investment when they could not make the softcap. Will check for their names later as I cannot remember them now.

ok, as I've read now, this only applies to new investors who choose this investment method. The receipts of these investors are frozen. So they can work with the previous revenue, without fear that they have to pay this back. Here are the exact words of Tachain:

well it depends on the angle you are looking at it from it can be risk-free when you consider what tachain is trying to offer and how it affects the industry and at the same time the team is ensuring every investor is assured of their investment so it all boils down to how you perceive your investment

I've read their whitepaper too. Seems they have a actual and practical concept about something like a Travel app like UBER. But there are few problems such as market competition! Anyway, I was afraid of this Risk free thing, But this seems very confident to them any many of pro investors. Thanks for creating the discussion here. Yeah agree on you, good point strategy in advertising since a lot of people are no addicted to their phones, its a good strategy to put the advertise it self in the devices.  And investing in crypto is already risky since there is a chance that a project turn out to be a scam, let's hear what the other says about this one.

Well i imagine it's mostly "risk free" in the sense the project offers a refund in the ways to give the investment back if it doesn't go as expected, i mean your not wrong theirs always some level of risk but it's just like tic tacs that say their zero calories, their not their 0.5 calories but technically low enough to have a 0 calorie on the box lol

I feel that there must be a catch somewhere. Why would anybody not want to invest into something they can't lose money on, its just not how investment works. This is a no risk no gain.

Tachain team have put lot of effort till now, but due to recent market conditions even good ICO could not get the amount which they need for development. Tachain have good concept and it can be successful business.  But they need money to complete the project rather than cancelling it or delaying the launch  date. Certainly when investing in ICO you will have a lot of big risk because we can not know exactly what their development team will do after the ICO. I believe that ICO projects are a temporary investment and if you make a good profit then you should sell all the tokens to secure the assets for the next investment.

the risk of ico is very much when the ICO is successful and has started token distribution and entering in the exchange sometimes the price does not match the ICO price sometimes the price will be cheaper because the influence of the bitcoin price falls, that makes a lot of losses when investing in ICO .
