ETH return to 1000 USD after hardfork?

see good news about eth which always appears every day, some people think that eth will go up to 1000 usd, but will this happen?
because after all eth is the strongest coin after BTC, and I believe that.
and even the new news says that eth prices will be half the price of btc.

I think ETH will pass $1,000 again at some point, but not soon, and certainly not as a result of the fork. The fork is good news and an important step on the development road, but it is not the end state.

ETH is still tied tightly to the rest of crypto, I don't think it will pass $1,000 again until BTC is over $10,000. As for 1 ETH = 1 BTC or 0.5 BTC in price, I don't think that's likely for the foreseeable future.

Ofcourse ETH is a promising coin and it will definitely increase during the hardfork time, but it won't pump immediately to 1000usd, it will take its time and gradually keep on increasing. We may soon see ETH at $200.

I doubt eth can reach half the price of bitcoin. this really requires a process especially in market stability. even though eth's hard fork will increase its value. I think, however, bitcoin has tied the market and has become a benchmark for all the altcoins traded.

Switching to POS will help Ethereum to survive.

Why wouldn't it be logical?  That is like saying bitcoin will never hit 10k ever again.  It will happen if you wait long enough and you can take advantage if you don't dump your coins at the first small pump.  I mostly own bitcoin but I think any smart crypto investor is holding at least a small portion of Ethereum.

For this year 2019 maybe that can happen. After hardfork (Constantinople) and some good news coming to crypto like the Bakkt launch, will make the altcoin price especially ethereum will increase significantly.
