As usual, the FLT source uses non-standard or version-locked libraries that make installing this coin a MASSIVE and ROYAL pain in the ass.
The compile is complaining about missing boost libraries that we have installed.
We're removing FLT, I'm tired of wasting hours trying to get it back up every time there's a change.
Want to know why it's been down on Cryptsy for a week? My guess? They don't have the time to screw with it either.
We have nearly 200 coins on AllCrypt.com - FLT is the ONLY one that is routinely an hours-long process to update because of the way the dependencies are handled.

I am sorry your having such a hard time with this, maybe I can help get things set up. First off what are your trying to get it compiled on, I am sure it is a Linux variant just which one, if you need a binary we have some linux precompiled binaries that should run on about any thing recent, if your want into to compile it on your own then a little more info and I'll try to see if I can build it and maybe can identify the issue. Yes I know some of the libs are a pain, you have to compile the boost 1.55 before hand and include it. Anyway if you are willing to provide the info I'll try to help. What is so special about 1.55 that it's absolutely mandatory? A coin that has nearly zero traffic is not worth that amount of work.

True that there has been quite a lot of setbacks with the coin, there is a decent group of people trying to make things better, I can not speak of why v1.55 is the magic one ( what version are you trying to use?) but I still need to know more to help. I know it is pretty low at the moment be we need all the help to keep it going, if I can help I don't mind to. I am sorry your having such a hard time with this, maybe I can help get things set up. What is so special about 1.55 that it's absolutely mandatory? A coin that has nearly zero traffic is not worth that amount of work. It is up to you whether or not you decide to keep Fluttercoin listed. At this time, we are making sure that we have everything fixed and optimized to have a good running start from where we build and release from. We are not going to rush something we feel has so much potential to succeed. There are many great ideas slowly making its way into fruition, but we're not going to lie and pretend it will be an overnight thing. We believe and hope professional exchanges judge alt-coins by their potential and real world use rather than just current traffic. We would love to work with all professional exchanges and have no problems coordinating with them and helping them out with any technical help that they might require. So again, it's up to you how you wish to handle your business. We're always open wings arms.

Sad to see this coin basically die, unique coin (PoT), deserves more users. I sold my FLT a couple months back around ~1200 satoshi mark. Im going to be buying them again, 94 satoshi is a deal I can say one thing. I'm pretty sure FLT never had that much support behind the scene . Take few minute to join us on TeamFLT Skype group and you will understand what's going on. 94 satos is indeed a deal I agree. But don't buy it without having a look at what we are doing - and how we are working. I would realy like to help building the more involved community in cryptos - an example for others coins. So you are welcome.

Your pool says that you're closed until fork issues are fixed, yet you seem to be in the correct chain, and allowing payouts. In addition to this, the newer clients make the forking issues practically nonexistent, and further updates will eliminate this issue. Are you still shutting down your pool? The new team behind FLT is available to help you with wallet issues, or any other issues that may appear while setting up the coin on your pool

FLT wallet down for week now @cryptsy.com Can't withdraw from the site, don't know if its possible to deposit. All I know this is bad for business. Hope someone will help them because the obviously don't know how to handle this situation.
Cryptsy has already been contacted through email with everything needed to update their system. They have also been tweeted. If someone from Cryptsy reads this, we are ready to help with setting up the new wallet. soomster, do you have any suggestion on how to give them more help transitioning their systems? The problem with an exchange handling an issue like the mystery block chains is kind of difficult. The key thing there is keeping the ledger balance in line with the wallet balances. Since Cryptsy's wallet is offline and probably accepted quite a few deposits on a bad chain, they probably can't get the ledger lined up with the wallet balances especially if they had a lot of bad deposits from the bad chain and can't clean out all the transactions related to the wallet addresses. Unfortunately the best course of action in this instance is just to smoke all the old wallets and 0 out the ledger which undoubtedly would upset quite a few customers especially if they had lots of coins in storage there (which is totally against cryptsy's policy). Granted, this is just speculation. As of 7 August, 730 AM US EST Cryptsy wallet appears to be back online.

As the new owner of the Lifeforce.info mining pools, I've been considering adding FLT how's the demand for a fast, reliable pool from the mining community? I'll add the coin if there's demand from miners. We have very fast servers with stratums in the U.S and EU thanks http://lifeforce.infoJeff

what happens to the flt? The price is down to the drain! This Pot coin is a good one, i just don't understand why people sell it with such a low price? You should look at this as an opportunity, buy when it's so low. Earlier this summer I had less than 100k, got 600k now! Looking forward to be millioner !!! I keep all my coins @ mintpal, maybe it's better to keep 500k - 550k in my own wallet and have 50k-100k to trade? I did a little test with my wallet, sent few coins to see if it worked, then I was asked for "fee", is this fee a fixed number or % of the amount you send? Good post Soomster.
