Once again it came true that MSD is the king of finisher. Watching the last over is really thrilled, upon the first ball six it looked like a winning moment for KKR, and it didn't happen.

There were comments earlier disregarding the king Dhoni as the best finisher ever and rated players like Andre Russell above him. I am not disregarding the batting capability of Andre Russell and his finishing capabilities but as someone who is watching Cricket from 80s i would rate MSD and Michael Bevan as the best finishers ever and i have seen many matches where Michael Hussey and Lance Klusener finishing matches single handedly.

Mumbai Indians once again and the wait for a win continues and hopefully they can break the jinx .

Mahendra Singh Dhoni proved once again the game of cricket intelligence. And he's one of the best finishers of all time. As long as he is on the field I hope he can bring out the match in any situation. That's what we saw last month. Having a sound in the squad means thinking differently about the captain on the opposite side.

I think I am going to disagree with this because obviously they have not played like one of the best teams in the IPL this season and they do have some great players who can perform at any given time.

But, I think that is not going to change the fact that they are already behind a lot of points in this year's IPL and it will be really hard for them to climb back up the points table. they could have made the team better by taking young and better players but they chose to go ahead with the team that they had for a long time and that is going to be the main problem for them.

This match too a big disappointment for the Mumbai Indian fans. While chasing the team should score atleast 50 runs in the powerplay. This could've eased the chasing of target.

On papers Mumbai Indians have a good team, Kieron Pollard is not performing for a while and it is time they replace him with someone else, Dewald Brevis is a young talent but he is yet to his potential then the openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma have not given them a good start in this tournament and that is why they are struggling. Loosing all the games from a team who was successful in the past and their strength was bowling and in this season they failed with the ball and hence not able to win a game.

We have long way too go, close to 1 month give or take. So far, historically 2 strong teams Mumbai and CSK are struggling badly and standing at last.

Yeah not so much hype due to various reasons.

-Board exams are about to start in some states or ongoing in some. (minor)
-People started going back to work and other stuff after covid drama. (minor)
-Only 6 month window between 2021-2022 seasons. (main)
-CSK and MI are not performing, one of the main reason TV rating are down in comparison to last year. (main)

Since our side ( the other side of boarder  ) does not broadcast the series so we are not much aware. I only check the thread for updates. I tried to count the teams and I stoped in the middle - oh Gosh how do they manage such a big tournament. We have only 4 teams. So they create so much hype when its on!

Usually they used to have 8 teams and in this tournament they increased a couple of teams and it is a 10 team tournament and they hype they created from the start as the premium T20 tournament in the world as the best players compete and i think it is much more entrainment than the actual T20 World Cup considering how competitive these teams are because it is hard to predict the matches .

Punjab will play against Chennai today. The performance of both these teams is quite poor this season. Punjab has won 3 out of 7 matches and Chennai has won 2 matches. On the other hand, Chennai's performance in the last few matches was quite good. If Chennai can maintain their streak, they will be able to win against Punjab today.
