Thanks @JSRAW for notifying about the IPL pool discussion. Myself too have the same feeling of an entry fee to be between $20-$25 which is a fair amount and could attract a good number of participants.

If we get a few hands more with lowering the fee, I guess we should go with the lower fee as more participants mean more competition and that would be interesting. Back in the day, I guess we had a few more cricket fans here; not sure why they aren't active anymore here. webtricks, umeeridres, pakhitheboss etc. Where are they now 
With few participants, it's not going to be enjoyable; will be boring TBH.

The primary problem with the IPL is its unpredictability which is why it's very difficult winning any of these prediction pools which is why the higher fee could chase away potential participants. Lower fees could also attract Non-Cricket lovers.

How many people get a chance to win here? I see the OP thread and it says the top three predictors will get the prize money. As per stats here till now, you have seven people willing to participate and out of which 3 will definitely win some amount.

7* 30$ = 210$
This means 60% of this amount will be 126$ which will be given to the top winner.

In case of 20$ per participant:-

7* 20$= 140$
60% of this amount is 84$ which will be given to the topper.

The more you decrease the participating money, the less the reward, which may decrease the overall interest of the participants.

I am okay with the entry fee of $30 but as @Vaskiy wrote above if the entry fee is in the range of $20-$25 then more people will be willing to participate. More participants in the pool will automatically increase the price money.

Earlier i used to feel the same that lower entry fees means more participants but it hardly happened in our previous pools. If my memory serves me well then only 1 time we got 15+ participants but it happened because that time we had couple of free slots available in the pool.

We are still voting  so in case if we get enough vote for lower entry fees then sure why not but for that people need to vote, we can't set the fees on only assumption IMO.

I am in contact with two casino to sponsor the tournament but hope is very low. Last time, I tried my best but didn’t get one. This time, I'm trying again and looking for getting a sponsor.

This is true only if there are few participants, but I feel that many people will participate this time around since there are already close to 10 participants and there is still a lot of time left for IPL to begin which is why lower fees might be the better option.

I feel the same way. More participants would make the pool more entertaining overall with/without a sponsor. Let's see how it goes.

The pool has been paused because the tournament has been suspended for indefinite time. We will wait to resume or the pool will be added with the pool we will have for the next IPL big tournament, most possibly WC T20

Can you update the the thread. Its not updated since last IPL as it was postponed not IPL2022.
Secondly, is this thread open for everyone to discuss IPL or only participants are allowed to discuss here?
I remember comments were deleted previously if somebody like me made a comment. What's the policy now?

Yes, if you are main sponsor then the pool title will be named after the sponsor. Please feel free to contact user JSRAW for all details. You will get enough information if you read few previous posts though.

Good to have you back bhai and thanks for responding. This will be your 2nd pool if i'm not wrong? This small community is still alive, only because of you guys, otherwise many of us would've lost interest already so kudos to all of you. Couple of guys trying their best to bring sponsors, let's hope for the best.

I think UmerIdrees has made a good point. The less total pool we have, it will attract less people while with big pool, we may attract more people. Don't know whether we will have everyone from the list above but that is something should be considered in my opinion.

^^ Yeah read it, i guess over the years during every pool we have discussed this matter multiple times. I would've liked more if umer was into participating in the pool as well but he always shy away. Its big lose for the community because we do need at least 1 funny conspiracy theorist here  .

No betting please...but the community can still enjoy the conversations if you can allow me to post here without participating in the pool. In the last few seasons, I tried to engage a debate here but the next day I found this implemented.
