Wasn't the entry fee $20 for the upcoming tournament based on what you decided in the entry fee thread? 0.0005 BTC is closer to $30 currently while 0.12 LTC is closer to $25 which is confusing.

Instead of BTC or LTC, it would be better to post the entry fee in dollar terms. Participants would send the equivalent amount of BTC or LTC after conversion which would help resolve this confusion.

Sorry, it was the typo. I meant 0.0004 BTC not 0.0005 BTC which has been corrected now.

About USD equivalent price - it' very hard to track the exact price. Yesterday BTC price was $56k or something, today it's over $60k, maybe tomorrow it will be $70k or under $50k. BTC price is not stable, and it's hard to tell when it will be stable too. If we ask users to pay the equivalent of USD when they are paying - we will see different amounts of money in BTC or LTC they have paid. So this was the reason of not asking in USD equivalent.

About LTC - when I calculated it was a few dollars more than BTC as I wanted to discourage LTC payment.

I wanted to pay with BTC but as my funds (BTC) are in my exchange account, it will be costly for me. So, I decided to pay with LTC.

I sent BTC instead of LTC even though the fees continue to rise currently thanks to the rising price of BTC. I chose 25 sats/byte which is very low. I will try using TX accelerator services to make sure that it gets confirmed soon.

You made the right decision asking participants to send the fees a week before the tournament starts in my opinion.

But there is some uncertainty now, because today once again one of the government officials was talking about the blanket ban on cryptocurrency. If a ban is imposed, then it will be very difficult to participate in pools such as this one. Here in India, things are getting tougher for the cryptocurrency users with every passing day.

Confusion still exist over the proposed Bitcoin ban in India. I just hope that even if there is a ban, it will be implemented after the IPL.

Nah, i didn't as not many poster are interested in the cricket except when England is winning (The Ashes or WC).

I guess most of the Indian users are engaged in the India vs England series. There is hardly any hype about the upcoming IPL, either in social media platforms, or in the mainstream media. The India-England series gets over today, and hopefully we will be having more participants after that. If I remember correctly, we had more than two dozen participants for the IPL 2020 pool, and almost 40% of the participants managed to get hold of some reward.

Okay I will update the deadline. It's not only eaLiTy but a lot of others are missing. Not sure where they are, I do not even see them around.

It is surprising to note that last year's champion (SaShiRaJaVu) hasn't joined the pool yet. Also there are a few other familiar names who haven't made their decision. I am surprised with the cold response. The entry fee was kept at a very low level, so I don't think that it was a factor. Hopefully things will change in the next few days and we'll be having a large number of participants before the tournament starts.
