England vs. Germany was still an entertaining match despite the lack of goals compared to yesterday's matches. It's unusual to see Germany miss so many chances.

This should be over now with the three lions up by two goals. Conceding another goal is the risk if you're desperate for that equalizer.

Very weak from Müller, he have to make such a goal normally. The English play well and disciplined, but I still think that Germany still manages to draw and it goes into overtime. Just under 10min Germany still has time.

Kane just scored the second goal for England now so the game is done. Congratulations to England as they advance into the quarterfinal and now they have a realistic chance to go into the final too as their opponent in the quarterfinal is the winner of sweden vs. ukraine which both seem like very beatable opponents. If they success to win the quarterfinal then they will face the winner of czeck republic vs. denmark which again are both teams that England should be able to beat.
I don't think England has a chance in the final though against Italy/Belgium or Spain because those three teams are just at least 1 level above England.

England was more convincing, after the first goal of Sterling and the missed golden opportunity by Muller, you know Germany will struggle to get a draw then Kane's goal killed the game literally.

What a defeat for Germany: it looks me that Low cycle and that of his players can be called over. The young generation of English players have destroyed the old German panzer. It was about time, Germany needs to rethink its strategy for the future if they are to become again the old war machine.
England is now a serious candidate for the title, considering also that the final is going to happen in London, Wembley.

I thought they were unlucky with the round of 16 draw but it appears they are lucky now after dispatching Germany.

I think they will face Sweden next. They are not as tough as Germany on paper but they are still a dangerous team.

Even the group stage showed the weakness of the German national team, unfortunately they could not change to the playoff stage and at least show an interesting fight like yesterday's pairs. Most likely now this command will be seriously reformatted.
At the moment in the championship we see the collapse of many favorites and to be honest, it makes me happy, today I will root for Ukraine, although I also really like the Swedish national team.

100% true and they should be able to reach Final easier than other team due to the lucky draw of the play off bracket.
But we can be so sure since there are Czech and Denmark, one of them will be a tough opponent in Semi-Finals if England win against Sweden/Ukraine in Quarter-Finals.

Germany needs a regeneration for the squad obviously, they need to give more chances to their young potential players.
They need to find some young players to replace Kroos, Neuer, Muller, Hummels and other players who are above 30 years old.

Congrats to England for there win about Germany , it was well deserved as the strategy from Löw havnt done anything.
Müller was unlucky to get the Germans the draw that maybe changed all and the game , guess it was the last match from him without an scored goal in a EM.
Hopefully with Hansi Flick we will getting again better with the national Team Germany.

England did their job perfectly today throughout the game. Only 1 mistake almost made Germany managed to score a goal, but fortunately Mueller's shot missed the target. Previously I only thought that England would only succeed with 1 goal, but they can do more. Obviously it's a tough game for Germany while I'm quite satisfied with England's maximum performance today. Cheers.

Wait, the match between Sweden and Ukraine is not yet passed, maybe Ukraine will beat Sweden and go to a pair with England. But in this case, England will probably be even more fortunate, since Ukraine has always played very badly with England. Absolute shock and a big surprise. Can't accept that groups like Germany, France, Portugal and Netherlands are actually out of the game. That really shows how football is changing. The narrative of big teams is slowly fading. No big nation's now anymore but England and Belgium are just strong teams.

We watched two great games yesterday. They had even the same exact scoring pattern.    After two delightful games, England - Germany game was a little bit below my expectations.

I was expecting England to win with one goal difference against Germany. So their victory didn't surprise me honestly. But I'd expect way better from Germany in this game. They were not the best in their group. But I thought that they'd try to play better here. As they weren't good enough it wasn't too hard for England to beat them. When the score was 1-0, Germany had a big goal chance with Muller. But it was a narrow miss unfortunately. And England finished the job by finding the second goal.

There teams that normally, you we didn't see them leaving the competition at this stage but, they just keep following suit to leave the contest. Teams like France, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, oh! These are teams that one can easily predict to be the winner for the Euros at any point but shockingly, thyley are way off the competition for this season.  France most of all yesterday was the least expected team to go out. You can easily imagine Spain being eliminated,  they were even on there way to being eliminated by Croatia yesterday until they stepped up in the extra time but France, France was the least expected and Mbappe is the last person you would expect to bring about this fall. Sadly, Yann Sommer was at his best and bested Kylan Mbappe yesterday.

I do not think belgium and england wins were a surprised first of all belgium is the number one team in the fifa ranking wich means that they are strong they have good quality players and we all seen germany performance in this euro thats why i did not think they would go far in this championship.

Germany - England - what a classic. Like Gary Lineker said ''Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win.'' Though, I see that England a bit favoured by bookmakers, but I don't know why. In group stage England haven't showed anything special and I don't see reasons to hype them. Yes, Germany were unstable, but game with Portugal showed wha they can.
Sweden - Ukraine. It something incredible that Ukraine who qualified from 3rd place got their own level opponents, while Austria from 2nd place had to play against Italy. I'm backing Ukraine in this game.
