Sweden - Ukraine, maybe it wasn't most exciting game, compared with what we saw yesterday, but it was also very interesting.
It was more or less game of same level teams. But red card probably was biggest factor - that foul was brutal. Though, even with one man advantage, Ukraine haven't managed to create much, Sweden defense was great. Butthey managed to score.

I thought the game will end with penalty shoot-out, but Ukraine was able to score the winning goal in the injury time of the 2nd extra time. Sweden played well actually but playing with 10 players in the last 20+ minutes change the game significantly especially they played over time when they have lost most of their energy/stamina/focus.

Yeah in the end the foul was for a red card even tho he hit the ball then his knee. Sad for Sweden they conceded in last minutes if extra time must hurt a lot. But it was an even game anyone could have won in this match,but the red card decided the match in the end

Germany isnt the team that we used to see in the last few decades. They look weak on almost all fronts. Beside the fact that the game was held in Wembley, which for sure a big advantage for England, Germany played below the expectation.

I guess the same for Denmark-England, but not for Spain-Italy. I think Belgium will defeat Italy since they have better players in every line, defense-midfield-attacking. In the match against Portugal, I noted Belgium players can play more solidly. They even could make C. Ronaldo has no chance to score. Their attackers played aggressively and the defenders showed their strength. So, I bet Belgium will go to the next stage.

Germany won possession but didn't win the game. England became an effective team, without winning possession of the ball they won. Looks like play at home is a positive factor for England. An interesting note for Kane as it was his first goal since the group stage, he proved he is not barren from playing at home. For the next phase ukraine vs england, I believe there are many bets for england.

Germany has good football academy and they will come back soon, 4 years later. Begin with the retirement of Joachim Low.

If Italy and Spain can rebuild their national team in such a short duration, then there is no reason why Germany can't do the same. After all, the national football league (Bundesliga) has maintained its standard over the years, and is in no way inferior to Serie A of Italy or La Liga of Spain. One thing I would like to see is Germany ending its overdependence on players of foreign origin. We hardly find such players dominating the Spanish or Italian squads, but they constitute a majority in the French and German squads.

As a semifinal specialist, Germany has always been the top team in every tournament. But when it comes to England, Germany is like a toothless lion who can do nothing. Well, I've no choice but to back Spain, supporting them since whenever, and although they're not the same golden team I loved I think they finally clicked after 2 initially terrible group games. Switzerland will be on a high but I think that was a little bit of a France bad performance that helped them.

Czech look better than Denmark and they have Patrick Schick who has very good form in the tournament but we've already seen many surprising results so far. Schick used to be considered very high but his career does not grow well after the transfer from Sampdoria to AS Roma. One more thing, do you know Schick was rejected by Juventus (after that he joined Roma) because Juventus suspected that he has a kind of small problem with his heart.

Denmark can make us surprised again and repeat their 1992 amazing tournament.

Germany won possession but didn't win the game.

Surely, yesterday, Germany was not at there best at all else, you wouldn't imagine Muller loosing a much needed goal of that nature against J. Pickford. So far, R. Sterling has always been the .an of the moment for England and is doing greatly. His goal yesterday was completely of his doing, looking at the fact that, he started the working himself from the midfield and somehow through all the passes still found his way in the right position to score the goal.
Same thing with Harry Kane, the center defense of Germany was so porus to have let those 2 players into that spot and not having some challenge towards getting the ball at all. They made M. Neuel look bad.

This is not disrespectful to Germany. England is not a weak team. Germany and England are teams of the same standard. However, Germany did not play well in the second half. They didn't have much chance to counter-attack after conceding a goal. We have seen lots of attacks and counter-attacks in Switzerland va France's match. But we didn’t see it in the match between Germany and England.
