Germany, fell off, France same, this were two of my favorite to win the UEFA euro competition, now both are out, really this is a different tournament, England are going on with Alot of excitement why won't they? When they have players like Sterling, Foden, mount, Saka and so on, I think the defense of walker, Mings, stones and more seems impenetrable, now one threat they have is Belgium, I think if this two team do not meet themselves before the final match, we would be watching them drag for the 2020 UEFA euro championship on the final day.

However, the story of yesterday's match England was able to come out victorious and move on to the next match.  I consider it a game of tactics that works.  Their chances of winning this league are still there even though in the future there will be several opponents who are also just as tough.  No matter how great the game, Germany and Portugal must accept the fact that they failed to make it to the final.  We have to appreciate Kane and his team.

England should be appreciated after successfully defeating Germany. I really thought that England didn't count in the quarter-finals but in the end my doubt paid off after they did it perfectly. Next up is Ukraine against England which make me think that this is a big chance for England to win.

With the last few matches being played, I think all 4 matches will be unpredictable. But yesterday England just outplayed Germany which makes me feel that England might have an easy win over Ukraine.
Looking forward to the Switzerland game because of their gameplay with France the other day.

Kylian Mbappé turn into villain after missing penalty shots against Switzerland. The same young star was regarded as Hero in 2018 World Cup. He can say sorry but not change the story. Imagine that Mbappe's market value just the same as Swiss entire team's value, still the French were kicked out. Mbappé failed to perform through out their EURO 2020 journey, he might erase this chapter and start the new beginning.

He wasn't playing good in the game in general. But still I hoped him to score the most critical penalty. But I was devastated when he missed it. If Mbappe was in fine feather, I believe that France would have won way easier. His bad performance affected the result directly I think.

He has no power to change the result so he just needs to move on. He is one of the most talented players in history and I believe that he will get over this in time.

Seriously, I never want  Italy, Germany, Portugal and France to be out of the Euro at the round of 16 stages. I consider all of these were upsets.
I won't be able to see many of my favorite players in Quarterfinals matches. I don't know about other people here but this made me really sad.  

Italy? Italy is still there, right? Their quarter final match is against Belgium on 3rd July. It is going to be a tough task for them, but I am hopeful given their recent form. On the other hand, despite the presence of star players such as Romelu Lukaku, Belgium has been facing a lot of issues related to team cohesion and coordination. And in your list, Germany and Portugal were just unlucky. They got very tough opponents for their PQF matches. Not the case with France though. They should blame themselves for the poor performance against Switzerland.

for the match italy vs belgium , i think belgium can they have good team and they can win this match and qualifying to to the next round semi final , italy have good defense , they received 1one goal only in this tournament in the match  austria . the power of italy is the defence and they can profit this strategie espesially if belgium play attack more then deffence  , belgium should hold deffence the two team have same chance in this match for me i hope belgium will win this match then it will remain two match only after this match always

Guys, I remember Pogba's celebration when he scored the 3rd goal for France. He swayed in his trademark as if France had qualify for the next round 100%. At that point I thought Switzerland was over and would never have any hope of avenging a 2 goal deficit through extra time. However, the optimism and carelessness of the French players gave hope to the Swiss players after successfully changing the score to 3-2. A bad sign for France after Switzerland managed to turn it into 3-3. Switzerland was only lucky with a penalty, while France failed to defend the victory in the final minute of the match.

The Belgium vs Italy game is a shame, they are both amazing teams and one of them will be gone already, that czech vs denmark could have been mixed with the other game, that way we could have seen Belgium and Italy on semi finals at least, however considering how much we are shocked with the results so far, we could have even seen underdogs win in that case as well who knows? Logically speaking Spain should win, but who knows anymore? Like anything could happen at this point and we have seen very shocking results, which is why I am very afraid of betting, I still do put up like 10-20 bucks each game but so far it has not been great for me.

It is at least fun, so I am not going to complain too much, I can work and earn money back, but fun is something rare in this world unfortunately. England however is one that I am definitely sure, they will definitely beat, I will put a good amount on that game.

I was disappointed by Sweden, big time. They played pretty good until that red card (they were somewhat unlucky too). But afterwards they were busier to demolish the opponents than to actually play football, and that's a shame. 

England did very good against Germany and it could have been even more interesting if Mueller wouldn't have missed. The game could have ended with any of the teams wining. England was better and luckier.


And about the previous day's (wonderful!) games, did you see this? (I don't know if it's for real, but allegedly it was also published by Bild)

Actually, I was quite surprised with what Ukraine showed, personally, I thought that Sweden was stronger and could beat Ukraine, but apparently I was wrong, this year's Euro is really a special Euro when the big names are gradually eliminated  Looking at Ukraine's performance, I think they still have a chance to beat England, although the chance is not very high.

There has been a lot of surprising wins this season and more and more of it keeps coming in, in the Euros too. I don't know how interesting it gets watching the big teams leave, the teams that we naturally had plans to be watching out for are gradually being eliminated by the unexpected teams.

First, it was the leagues especially in the EPL, where we had a serious contest for dominance by the individual clubs until Manchester City stepped up, now the Euros with Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden and there likes all gone. Just like that and so unexpected! Is the competition becoming more interesting or the more boring, I can't tell but, its a matter of the better team, the team that means business to win the day and Ukraine amongst other teams that have eliminated a major threat did just that. Its impressive of them.

England are actually or were favourites to win the tournament

I think Spain more deserves to be the favorite team to win EURO 2020. England has many great strikers in the attacking line, but for midfield and defense line seem not really strong. Spanish have top players in defense and midfield line, they should be better in these lines. Winning isn't determined by the attackers only. The attackers cannot perform well if there will be no good midfielders and defenders who give their assists.

It is a football game, mate. Even if they have top players, it doesn't guarantee to win. Sometimes the winning is determined by solidly (compactness among players) and luck factor. So, there should be always an unpredictable result in the game. By the way, Italy isn't eliminated, they still continue to the next stage.

It will be a very big loss, because this is no longer a group tournament and there is no right to make mistakes, and therefore you need to have all the strongest players of the main team at this point in time. De Bruyne has been unlucky lately to get injured at the most inopportune moment, like in the UEFA Champions League, for example, and now this has happened again. In modern football, a lot can depend on the presence of a creative player in the squad who can decide the outcome of the meeting, and we all remember very well how de Bruyne's exit in the match with Denmark turned the course of an unsuccessful game in favor of the Belgian national team. Exactly the same can be said about Eden Hazard, despite all his problems with injuries and playing at Real Madrid.

France is out of the tournament and the blame game has started. There is a big spat ongoing between Veronique Rabiot (mother of Adrien Rabiot) and Wilfried Mbappe (Kylian Mbappe's father). According to Veronique, Mbappe was too selfish and not passing the ball to the other players. Wilfried went ballistic over the comments and hit back saying that it was Rabiot who behaved selfishly. A few days back, Veronique Rabiot had another well publicized spat with the brothers of Paul Pogba (after a mistake from Pogba made it possible for Switzerland to score the 3rd goal).

The most notable is still the match between France and Switzerland, it's the most surprising match of the Euro season so far. I also think it was the most unfortunate defeat so far, when the situation of the match was so clear, France lost their chances one by one. Also commend the swiss as they played really well  

France should do better but they enjoyed their victory too soon and play very carelessly after the third goal from Pogba. The moment after that goal is important because it makes Switzerland players felt angry and played with the best as they could.

In the third goal, Benzema had a bad passing to Pogba but Pogba himself played carelessly as well. When the match has a few minutes to end, and with only one leading goal, Pogba should do better. Together, all France players contribute to the two late goals of Switzerland and they deserved the loss.

Switzerland players deserve that win from all things they have spent in the match.
