My wallet is stuck at 4/20. How to fix this?
I have the new wallet, was working...
OK I tried "reset wallet" twice and now it gets stuck at block 986949 every time. OK just needed to close wallet and re-start it. Finally got it fixed.

Alright the new wallet is working good. The faucet freebytecoin.cf is re-syncing their wallet. I hope they got the new wallet... I'm also mining bytecoin on my android tablet. minergate android software has just been upgraded. You can monitor your miners from any computer! How to solo mine with the wallet? I guess I need a different wallet to do that, maybe.

About 7.6 H/sec running 5 threads.
Btw I sent an e-mail to freebytecoin.cf about the new wallet upgrade. (oops failure notices, no mail getting through).
Also I don't like pool mining, but minergate makes it simple and easy.

Just curious, why you all mine a known scam-coin? does it make you any btc? what are you using, gpus or cpus?
Edit isn't minergates software shit spyware or some crap? I don't trust that site at all, sorry.

They are currently worth 7 satoshi apiece. You should have sold them all last August, when they were at ~28 sats. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bytecoin-bcn/I'm surprised it still even exists. THere must be some huge bagholders out there LOL...

Right. I love scamcoins, therefore I mine them. Your logic is flawless.

My logic? I never said it was a scam-coin. But you should not be surprised that a coin exists, while you are helping to create more of them LOL. I want to report a minor, annoying "bug" in the wallet: Failed transactions stay at the top of the list forever, on both the overview and transactions lists. Is there a way to get rid of them, besides creating a new wallet?

Oh yeah - the faucet is back: freebytecoin.cf
It pays instantly to your wallet! Awesome, this is how crypto is supposed to work. No waiting to get paid, and wondering if you are going to get paid. LOL
Don't forget to check out the advertisers (all of them!) This will help the faucet to pay out lots more coins.

Sorry, but I have never mined BCN in my life, so not sure why you keep saying that - I only follow this thread because it's a known scam-coin created and held by a group of scammers.

Anyone else experiencing really slow sync?
I opened my bytecoin wallet after a month and it is syncing really slow, it looks like its stuck.
Right now its at block 979659 and it is not moving, cpu usage on two cores is 100%. If I close the wallet I get the "saving data message" that never goes away.
Only option is to force kill it, then open it again, it syncs a few blocks further, than stalls again, force kill again...etc.
Is this normal behavior or am I missing something? I am running the latest 1.0.10.1 wallet.
The computer it is running on is not shit, i7 CPU, 8GB ram, internet is 20/20Mbit.
Edit: running on linux

OK owlcatz,
#1 - it does not make me any btc mining, only bytecoin.
#2 - i could find no evidence of spyware from minergate.
#3 - i could swear i saw you as a big miner at one of the pools, maybe it was minergate. Perhaps you were mining another coin.
#4 - i thought you were just joking, or maybe trolling this thread.

No, I meant, does mining BCN make you any bitcoin, but I gues you just hodl your BCN? Also, what do you mine with for hardware, or is it CPU only? I have never mined at minergate, I have just heard stories / read posts somewhere saying they were not trustworthy, and I didn't like that you can't use regular ccminer or whatever, you had to use minergate's software. (Last I checked at least, I could be wrong now). No, I'm sorry, it wasn't me you saw mining there - I'm not a big miner at all - I Have two GPU's that I mine XMR with, but that's about it. I'm not trolling the thread, I was honestly just curious why people mine this coin, and how? Thanks!

Are there other pools using the standard open source pool software for cryptonote coins? If there are other pools then you can certainly use the open source miners, since it does use the same hashing algorithm as XMR. EDIT: There are some other pools in the OP. If you want to mine BCN without minergate you might check those out.
