Significant marketcap, but too low trading volume.

$6 million in market cap with more than thousand dollars in volume the past 24 hrs is unrealistic.

I installed desktop wallet v1.0.10.1 , but don't see any where issue private key (and import private key). Can anyone help me ?

If you were using an older version of wallet until now, you should have a .wallet file in following folder:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\bytecoin

In new wallet software, go to 'File --> Open Wallet' and choose this file

Does not work for me. I'm running it on Ubuntu Linux, and using the newest core version 1.0.10.1.692. If I try to open an old wallet, I get this messages:

Quote
user@host:~/opt/bytecoin-v1.0.10$ ./launch simplewallet --wallet-file hot.bytecoin.wallet --password "XXX"
2016-Jun-19 11:43:34.859739 INFO    bytecoin wallet v1.0.10.1.692 (1d07d58)
2016-Jun-19 11:43:34.860908 INFO    Loading wallet...
2016-Jun-19 11:43:35.065470 ERROR   Error: failed to load wallet: can't load wallet file 'hot.bytecoin.wallet', check password
2016-Jun-19 11:43:35.065630 ERROR   Failed to initialize wallet
2016-Jun-19 11:43:37.833311 ERROR   Error: wallet failed to connect to daemon (http://localhost:8081).

The password I entered is fine. The bytecoind is running, of course. I can create a new wallet without problems, and start it and work with it. But I have no access to my old wallets.

but i need private key, where is i can get it ?

Indeed I wonder that the core client has no dump/load commands for exporting or importing the keys. Then I simply could start my old wallets, export the keys, and import into the new versions.

This coin is close to fully mined

180/184 billion already mined

What was the early vision of this coin? Was there ever a glorious vision of BCN one day being worth 1 USD per coin or 100 USD a coin? It's just we are looking at a coin that is at the moment not even worth a penny

No, it was a scam.  Here is a lot more than you probably want to know. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0

I'll disagree a bit. The original question asked "was there ever" and before the scam it is possible there was a glorious vision. The technology was developed by someone or some group who were highly capable, and probably that was done for more than scamming. It seems to have been coopted at some point.

Fair enough, I have always just thought it was funny that the coin even exists anymore, given it's questionable past, but I guess if there are enough people who have $ in it, it will survive that long...

I do agree with you on the technology and capability points, but the whole timeline and story have just never made any sense to me - If it was truly meant to be a visionary technology, why was the first coin made from it so shady/strange? It seems like the true creators would & could have done something just as awesome as bitcoin had they been honest and more transparent, but I guess the truth is probably stranger than fiction like many cases.

The timeline and story that was told indeed made no sense and was almost certainly made up. The real story is unknown. We can only infer small bits and pieces from what is visible.

This coin still being developed but almost all been mined, what will happen?.. It has no tail emission, its not used enough to survive on fees alone.

that's interesting
Needs a hard fork or probably will die.

It does not need POS or tail emission. Pools are in control of the transaction fees and the way transactions are labeled valid and most of the concerns are pool related, not core related. Just my opinion.

Pools can be subsidised independently, without relying to core updates. Pools can give 200%, 300% or whatever reward they want if subsidised. Also, they can force increase of the minimal transaction fee to whatever they want, also independent to core. Miner subsidies are purely pool issue, not core issue as commonly believed. Core subsidies are just a time giver to the pools to establish fee markets. Again, just my opinion.
