I watched Masvidal short interview before fight, and he looked very sharp and ready.

I believe Masvidal will win, it will most likely be a long, tough fight, but Masvidal looks like a guy with great mindset, he goes out to fight and he is not scared to take and give. He looks like a person that enjoys beating people and taking the beating also

During his younger days he was struggling to make 145 and now 15 years into his career he is going down to 135 pounds which i initially thought was impossible but he is somehow maintaining a good diet and making the cut even though draining, personally i would like to see Jose Aldo winning the title but i would not bet against Petr Yan after seeing some of his old fights and his athletic gifts.

I wouldn't bet against Petr just by looking at how drained Aldo is tbh but let's see.

Everyone made weight and there is no way they will fight in the open during this season, it feels like you are in a hot spa in the open and the fighters will gas out within a round .

Right  I can only imagine how the fight would go if they would actually do it under the sun hehe.


Masvidal had to shred 20 pounds in six days for this title fight. I'm no nutritionist but that's really a rough cut for any fighter. That could be a huge factor for him especially if the fight goes beyond three rounds. He should finish the fight early or the belt remains with Usman.

I’m hurting though, initially during the weight cut, but now it’s all behind me. I made the weight, I’ve already got liquids in me, food in me, so pretty soon it’ll be just party time.

Still thinking if I should pull the trigger on Andrade.

Edit:  I should've waited.  The under 4.5 for Usman vs Masvidal is now at 1.84 rn.  I think that's good value.

Paige Vanzant and Amanda Ribas are beautiful but i am going with Amanda Ribas to win the fight as i watching all the interviews Paige was talking about the amount of money she makes outside fighting and i doubt her dedication. Look wise both a gorgeous.

Holloway is underdog in this fight, and I see great value in his win here.
Last time in UFC 245 he lost against Volkanovski, so I expect to see revenge here.

Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal did not live up to the hype but Usman was not able to finish Masvidal and the first round i scored for Masvidal and then the two head butt that changed the fight and Usman basically controlled the rest of the fight, there were really great take down defense from Masvidal but later on Usman was able to control him on the ground in the final round.

Alexander Volkanovski was able to defeat Max Holloway but i scored the fight to Max as he was able to knock down Volkanovski in the first two rounds in the closing minutes and the third round also belonged to Holloway but it looks like the judges were watching another fight and only in the final round Volkanovski was able to take Holloway down, a bit disappointed with the results.

Petr Yan defeated José Aldo and the first 3 rounds were great and the old leg kicks of Aldo was on full display as he as able to sweep Petrn Yan off his feet in the first round with that brutal kick but then he gasses out and Petr Yan displayed a classic display of waiting for Aldo to gas out and then was able to finish him.

Rose Namajunas defeated Jéssica Andrade and the score card looks close but Rose was dominating in the first two rounds and in the third round Andrade was able to put some offense and a good win for Rose and hopefully Rose will be facing the champion next.

Jorge Masvidal was able to stuff some take downs and he fought better than the last opponents of Usman and the cardio did not keep up because of short notice fight and now the next fight should be Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington.

Would you be able to say its an upset fight between Usman and Masvidal?

I was expecting an upset from Masvidal, below was my path to victory prediction for Usman which i posted yesterday and that is exactly how the fight went, Masvidal was able to stuff the take downs most of the time and remember Usman was able to control Woodley and Demian Maia easily but Masvidal was not a wrestler but was able to stuff those take downs.

I watched the fight again and Max Holloway won the first three rounds easily, 4th round was close and Volkanovski edged out a bit and the 5th round he was able to take him down but the striking exchanges was close and hence you cannot call it a comprehensive win.

I thought Masvidal have a greater chance of winning because of his good performance on round one but everything changed onwards. Kamaru clearly dominated him on the next 4 rounds. Yeah! It seems a boring fight but Usman's dirty boxing and wrestling skills obviously make Gamebred exhausted.

Indeed. I'm a fan of Volkanovski but dude IMHO Holloway got robbed. Maybe Dana is up to something hmm . I hope there's a rematch again to settle everything.

Actually what a near miss for Aldo. He did some brutal damage on Yan due to liver shots on round 3 but he wasn't able to finish it. On the other hand, Yan did nice upper cuts before round 4 ends (so cringey). I think that's the reason why Aldo lose composure and lose.

With that being said, do you think this is now the right time for Aldo to retire?

My favorite fight of the night . It's so exciting that I watch it blow by blow. Andrade's agility and head movement was so insane but unfortunately Namajunas show a lot of accuracy that's why she able to penetrate on her defense. Thus, split decision in favor of Thug Rose is fair enough.

He already a champion if we stick by the rules. but if he wants to prove that he really is, he needs to face some top contender in their division and when he able to defeat that challenger, he can now have a rest because He is truly a champion with proof. Real fighters will not be satisfied if they only get the title without any struggle because it is their pride in their retirements.

I stopped monitoring the Usman-Masvidal fight after round 3. I knew what was gonna after if it goes beyond that. Has anyone counted how many foot stomps Usman did?

Volkanovski vs. Holloway could have gone either way. Max clearly got rounds 1 and 2. The later rounds was like a toss coin for the judges. I think if these two will fight for the 3rd time (or more), it will still remain close.

I 100% agree on this one. Since he got the belt so easily (but don't get me wrong, Aldo is a tough veteran) then the least he can do is to defend as much as he could. That's the only way to prove others that he is now the king and can't dethrone by anyone. Though the Bantamweight's list is not as solid like the other divisions, i can still see good contenders for him like Garbrandt, Moraes, Asuncao and the rising superstar Sean O'Malley. It will not be smooth journey for him .

Max Holloway will be really upset with the decision as i thought he won the fight but the judges scored for Alexander Volkanovski may be because he was able to take Max Holloway down and in the fifth round he was able to control the fight but that does take away the performance of Max in the first three rounds, i do not call it robbery but it was a close fight.

What I found against human rights is Also being robbed some years of his life because of that referee who didn't stop the fight even if it was already over for more than 30 seconds...

Are you talking about the Aldo fight, the reason may be the Aldo is a legendary fighter and the referee has to give him the opportunity to recover and if he calls the fight early then the fighter could protest and may be that is the reason, either way it is hard to be a referee.
