Kamaru Usman made 13th consecutive wins in UFC welterweight category with 18 total wins and he is on the road to Hall of Fame like Georges St-Pierre previously.
Jon Jones sits on top of all the records in the UFC and that is the benchmark every fighter will be looking to accomplish and Kamaru Usman has the potential to be in that position as he does not see any challengers that could defeat him.

Here is the results

Source: Wiki

Kelvin Gastelum outclassed Ian Heinisch even though there were spots in the fight where Ian Heinisch landed great punches and kicks but gassed out pretty fast.

I would like to see Alexa Grasso and Maycee Barber again for a 5 round fight, Alexa Grasso surprised me with her ground skills as she is known for her boxing but improved a lot and i picked Maycee Barber to win and she showed her spirit in the third round as she was throwing hard but was too late.

^  I didn’t watch the PPV live cos I didn’t want to pay for it.  Lol.  And it’s still locked in Fight Pass.  Had to wait to download the vid from somewhere not exactly legal.

Anyway, I feel like Burns got adrenaline pumping because of a good first round and abandoned his game plan then tried to go for the finish til he gassed out.  Middle of the second round he looked a bit tired.

Maycee Barber looked like she was taking it easy the first two rounds before fighting like ‘Maycee Barber’ at the third which she won.  Her team should’ve warmed her real good before the fight.

And it’s another Pitolo disaster.  Looking good til he isn’t.

Edit:  And that Anthony Hernandez win.  Lol.  Who would’ve known.

I have a subscription and hence i am able to watch the fights live because i am wagging bets in other sports as well and i am spending more time on live sports, earlier i used to download files but not anymore as you can watching the fights in youtube before they take them down.

Anyway, I feel like Burns got adrenaline pumping because of a good first round and abandoned his game plan then tried to go for the finish til he gassed out.  Middle of the second round he looked a bit tired.
I am not sure whether it is adrenaline dump or the affects of COVID, Usman was tagged really bad in the first round but he was able to come back and showed his class, Burns tried to take him down after gassing out and he was able to defend it and the entire fight was basically a stand up battle.

Maycee Barber looked like she was taking it easy the first two rounds before fighting like ‘Maycee Barber’ at the third which she won.  Her team should’ve warmed her real good before the fight.
The game plan of Maycee Barber was the reason for her defeat and i could have gone with rounds betting rather than going for Barber to win.

Fun fact is that Bruce Buffer, famous for announcing fights with IT'S TIME, celebrated his 25th years working for UFC Smiley

I am going to watch just the main event for next fight card Blaydes vs Lewis, and I am giving advantage to Blaydes to win just like bookmakers are showing him as  favorite.
Waiting for next UFC259 like Welsh said, this is going to be big card with 3 title fights, and I am especially waiting to see Adesanya for first time in Light Heavyweiht division against Blachowicz, Thiago Santos against Aleksandar Rakic, and even prelims look good and should not be missed.

Bruce Buffer is the face of UFC and his announcement gives you chills and i wanted to watch one main event when ever they put up a fight card near my area for the feel of it.

I am going to watch just the main event for next fight card Blaydes vs Lewis, and I am giving advantage to Blaydes to win just like bookmakers are showing him as  favorite.
Even i am picking Curtis Blaydes because i feel he will take the fight to the ground with his superior wrestling and control Derrick Lewis and avoid his big punches because Lewis can knockout anyone with one punch.

It is the biggest card this year and Israel Adesanya moving up will stall the middle weight division but i want to see him win the belt and then challenge Jon Jones to come out and that is another huge fight with all the battle they are engaging in twitter  Grin.

There are no contenders for Israel Adesanya in the Middleweight division and he defeated all the top ranked fighters in the division and hence he is moving up to face Jan Błachowicz and it is a really tough fight and everyone is expecting Israel Adesanya to be the double champion and then go on and face Jon Jones, but i have a feeling that Jan Blachowicz wont be an easy fight and if Adesanya wins then the Jon Jones super fight is inevitable.

Yeah that Anthony Hernandez fight was absolutely unreal. I think it was 1 round in which he got totally man handled, and then from there on out he dominated. For him to submit what I believe is a black bet is absolutely incredible. I'd be lying if I've watched much of Hernandez, but the guy might have a bright future basing on that fight.

What was the odds for him submitting his opponent, wasn't it incredibly long odds?

I'm expecting him to win, but I feel if he gets caught by Jan at any point, I think its game over. Jan is a big dense guy or carries some weight in his punches. Not that Adensanya doesn't throw big shots, but Jan is a dangerous man in the division. I do think Adesanya's leanness will actually pay dividends, and he'll be able to keep distant, and pick his shots.

This is not the first time Adesanya fight heavy guys. When he was in kickboxing, he has competed in 80+ weight class. His early kickboxing career and few boxing matches he fought as a Cruiserweights - that is a minimum of 86kg (depends on an organization). Light heavyweight in UFC is between 84 to 93kg. But I agree that he will keep distance most of the fight, due to his reach advantage.

Yeah, Adesanya has had quite the career. I believe I've only seen him knocked out once in his kickboxing career, but I forget who it was against. MMA is a little different though, because if he gets knocked down, or even taken down Jan could seriously do some damage with his frame. The dude is very top heavy compared to the likes of Adesanya, and that's something Adesanya knows.

I am expecting a masterclass from Israel. I think he'll pick his moments, and basically pick Jan apart. However, I'm a Izzy fan so I'm going to be nervous during this fight just because I know how good Jan is. I actually think Jan has been underestimated for far too long. Commentators seemed quite surprised he won the last title fight, and the bookies seemed too as well, as I netted a nice bit of profit.

I'm really hoping we get to see Israel get to Khabib numbers, without taking a loss, but the dude definitely isn't sitting on his hands, and picking easier fights. This will definitely be a test, although I thought that about Costa last time, and we know how that ended.

Adesanya fought in higher weight divisions in kickboxing but the level of competition might not be that big and there are footage's of him getting knocked out in the higher weight division most probably in heavyweight and i expect it to be a competitive fight.

He is not playing safe as he was willing to face anyone, usually everyone avoids Yoel Romero but he called him out despite being the champion shows his confidence. I am also expecting a master class from Adesanya and he will have the speed advantage but Jan Blachowicz is huge and his body kicks are nasty and the way in which he picked apart Dominick Reyes with heavy body kicks was a beauty and that shut the entire game of Dominick Reyes.
If he is able to beat Jan Blachowicz then Jon Jones will be his biggest challenge and no one beats Jones and with the level of intensity i am expecting a motivated Jon Jones and that will be the biggest fight in the UFC if you take into account the level of competition.

Hi everyone, new guy here, hope to stay Smiley

We have an upcoming event on our doorstep that might be of some worth for discussion.

Sure, this is a fight night so it's a smaller event but still.

Heavyweights are a coin toss and do not fall in the category of normal predictions, but let's give it a go.

Lewis is on a winning streak with most of his fights going the distance, and we know he can take a beating and somehow pull throw and win (Volkov), but what goes against him this time is that the fight is in the Apex, and with a smaller cage like that, and them being huge guys will make Blaydes take him down so much easier. And I do belive Blaydes will not risk acting like a boxer and stick to his wrestling in this one and not risk it, as he would be the next in line for a title fight no matter if Stipe or Francis win.

I will not count out Oleinik out on this one, he can pull submissions out of his ass and I think he brings more experience to the table that can prevail in the end, opposed to Daukaus. Again, smaller cage, more chance of a takedown.

Arlowski on a new winning streek? You know what, I'm in! Cheesy

Kunitskaya has been subbed multiple times in her career and I just think Vieira has the toolset to get her to the ground and from there on, with such a big skill gap, it's game over.

What do y'all think?

The odds shows that Adesanya is a favorite in this fight. I also was surprised when Blachowicz won, but he deserves that, he was better that night.
I think two factors that Adesanya has and what will help him to win this fight is speed and distance. I think it will be easy to perform that strategy, as "‘The Last Stylebender’ will enter the bout at his ‘normal, walk-around weight’ as City Kickboxing believes it will give Adesanya a competitive advantage on fight night". Mostly kick and a series of 1-2 punches. This fight will end with Adesanya winning by unanimous decisions (but it will be a boring fight I think).

I don't think I've seen many boring fights with Israel. I guess, some people might consider total dominance, or keeping distance, and picking his shots as boring. However, I consider that one of the best things about him. Of course, I love a war, but Izzy's striking is just a joy to watch, and of course his kicks are fantastic too. Honestly, the way to defeat Izzy other than catching him, since he moves around so much would be to take him down. However, many have tried, and many have failed. Hes got one of the best takedown defences, but I do believe that's where Jan could take him surprise.

I think we are all expecting Jan to come in there, and go for a few big shots trying to catch him, but I think working the lead leg of Izzy, and then shooting for a takedown unexpectedly would be a way of going about to defeat him.

Despite this, and the fact I consider Jan to be very tough. I'm somewhat expecting Israel to TKO him. Just because I'm so used to him proving me wrong, whenever I start to worry about him. I honestly thought Costa would pressure him out last time, but you could almost see the hesitation in Costa, just because of those lethal leg kicks from Adesanya.

It appears that Khamzat Chimaev’s fight vs. Leon Edwards will be cancelled again because of Chimaev’s complications from the coronavirus. Hyped or not, this is very disappointing considering that Khamzat is the only fighter that will make the welterweight division very exciting again.

Khamzat Chimaev was forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Leon Edwards twice due to health complications after contracting COVID. After the latest withdrawal, it was clear that this was no mild case of the virus and/or that Chimaev returned to training prematurely. Due to the long-lasting effects that Chimaev is experiencing, ESPN has reported that the UFC has decided to fly Chimaev out to Vegas to receive medical care. The report also states that Chimaev and his management are hopeful that he will be able to compete by June.

I don't think I've seen many boring fights with Israel.

What about Adesanya vs Romero fight ? Wasnt it more 25min marathon than fight? The only one who was happy about this fight was Adesanya. Romero said he is tired of shadow boxing in this fight (meaning Adesanya avoided fighting), press said about this fight "if anyone wants to see running, to go see Usain Bolt". Maybe this fight was not really boring, but running dominated over fighting in this one Cheesy

I’m more comfortable on laying the chalk and betting on Chris Daukas than Tom Aspinal.  Daukas is light on his feet and has some power in his hands.  Yeah sure his gas tank is questionable since we haven’t seen him fight for over two rounds in the UFC but Oleinik’s gas tank isn’t great in his old age either.

Arlovski on the other hand is faster than some of the guys at HW.  Sure Aspinal could find that chin and knock him out but something tells me he won’t.  Arlovski is a clever guy.  His last match was vs top prospect Tanner Boser.  He won that fight as a 3 to 1 underdog.  Aspinal, like Daukas, we really don’t know if he has the gas tank to go beyond a couple of rounds since his fights end early.

The key to victory for Jan Błachowicz is that to test the ground game of Israel Adesanya, no one tested that till now and everyone fought his fight and in the stand up battle it is a task because of the experience he has in striking but any kicks by Jan Błachowicz will hurt and he coming up a division and it wont be comfortable as these fighters are cutting down in weight to be in the division and the walk around weight will be heavyweight and Jan Błachowicz is a black belt in BJJ and he started with Judo so his ground game is more than enough to challenge Adesanya and it all depends upon the game plan on how to retain his belt.

I hear you on that. It's always kinda hard for me to even bring up gas tanks in heavyweights, for two reasons, first of wich is that besides the handful of guys at the top, heavyweights tend to act like they are not really athletes Cheesy and they most times than not, come severely unprepared for multiple round fights. The second is that gas tank or not, with heavyweight, it only takes, sometimes not even a full punch but just a slight nod to end it.

The question between gas tanks in the Oleynik / Daukaus fight gets a bit blurry if we take into consideration (and that's just my opinion), that Oleynik can preserve more energy when on the ground, even in the bottom position, as that's where he feels more comfortable. Now, I know Daukaus is himself a blackbelt in BJJ so it's not like he will be out of his element, but Oleynik seems, for the most part, more experienced.

^  That’s if Oleinik can take him to the ground.  He has only 48% take down accuracy:  https://www.mmaformguide.com/oleynik-vs-daukaus/

I guess if Daukas could defend it a couple of times, Oleinik’s gas tank gets a big hit.  Then again we haven’t seen Chris Daukas’ TD defense get tested yet.  I lean Daukas but I do agree that Oleinik is live.

From a betting perspective, no way I’m betting Daukas at the current line at 1.5.  I looked at the over 1.5 rounds at 2.20, I kinda got interested cos of what you said, Oleinik’s experience, but Daukas has some good hands...  I could also imagine this as something like Holland vs Jacare.

Hey, I didn't say there wasn't any boring fights Tongue I think its almost expected to have bad, and good fights. Honestly, a lot of the "bad" fights are sometimes entertaining with the technical side of things. For example, watching fighters know how to distance themselves, and when or not to engage can be entertaining.

Israel usually delivers just because of the nature of the way he fights. Stand up is often fun to watch, but honestly I think if someone can take down Israel it might be either really interesting on how he deals with it, or a complete chink in his armour.

Hello, New Guy hope you stay and enjoy all prediction and speculation that everyone here has to offer, Well a small event but it is surely a worth to watch but I am waiting for the UFC 259 Jan Blachowicz VS Israel Adesanya will be the main event and I think that Adesanya could win it,

but with the Fight Night that is happening Tomorrow, I will go with Curtis Blaydes I think he will focus on the TKO but apparently, I think he will surely use all his skill set in this fight to take on Derrick Lewis, with Lewis huge proportion I think he is one tough fighter to crack, so Blaydes will sure take out all of his known moves and can throw out a ground takedown on Lewis,

For Ketlen Viera VS Yana Kunitskaya I am sure that Viera has the potential to throw a good fight and give Kunitskaya a hell of a beating and unanimous pick top fight and one of the favorites on betting sites.
