You said the fight was very boring because he was just waiting for the right taming to strike. It should be noted that Marvin Vettori fights for victory not to entertain you while watching his fight.
Fighters will surely wait for the right taming to attack in order to be able to deliver devastating blows and be able to find where the weaknesses of their opponent's defense are.

I see no one is talking about Holm's fight. It is important to remind how she was the legend who destroy Ronda Rousey's career, and today she is the underdog, but she looks really old nowadays and that's because she is 41 years old, I'm thinking of betting on her opponent Yana Santos. But it will be a great fight, for sure we will enjoy it because from what I read, Holm sign a 6 fights contract with UFC trying to become champ again. So, see will give it all in this fight.

Defeating Ronda Rousey was the highlight of Holy Holmes in her career and she was undefeated coming into that fight and after that she had 6 losses against top fighters and age is not in her corner like you mentioned and it is hard to predict how she will be fighting when she is facing against Yana Santos who is the wife of Thiago Santos and both used to train at the same gym.

Here's the last look of the fighters before the event which is starting in around 4 to 5 hours or so.  Even though this event doesn't really have the most vetted match ups, I think the main event is intriguing.  I'm leaning towards the underdog in Vera and I'll be betting small for him but will Sandhagen out volume Vera for the whole 5 rounds or will the match be like Vera vs Font or Vera vs Cruz?  Hmmm..
I agree with you, odds for betting on underdog Vera is very good and I don't understand why bookmakers made Cory Sandhagen such a heavy favorite.
He is favorite but I would give him 55% to 60% chance to win maximum, and Very is in better form winning previous four fights.
Whoever wins this fight I think it will probably go to distance and full five rounds.

This are my predictions for main card:

Marlon Vera
Holly Holm
Nate Landwehr
Maycee Barber
Manel Kape
Chidi Njokuani

Yes. I thought it must be a mistake that they overlook what Vera can do against Sandhagen who lost against top dogs. Bookmakers must have forgotten that Vera beat the shit out of Sean. But I guess we'll be seeing them again soon.

Holly Holm keeps disappointing me in many fights after Rousey. But that fight still gives hope that she will surprise the crowd.

Please! read back who am I quoting here and what I have just said because I have said that the fight looked boring for other people and not for me please read this quote

Quote

It was a very boring fight, really, none side was doing anything exceptional. This match was very near to draw but Vettori had 106 significant total strikes while Dolidze had 71 significant total strikes. It was very close match but I think Vettori deserved won.
Btw I don't understand how Vettori won the first round, Dvalishvili was more aggressive and active towards him.

This is the one that I am referring to, he was really bored with the Marvin Vettorri VS Roman Dolidze fight well please before quoting someone tries to read first the whole thing so there will be no misunderstanding

Here are my picks and prediction on some fights on the UFC Fight Night: Vera vs. Sandhagen

Marlon Vera VS Cory Sandhagen

The stake odds for this fight are 2.31 for Marlon Vera while 1.62 for Sandhagen, for this fight both, surely will fight technically both have counter punches but for me, Marlon Vera is more durable and he is hard to hit clean but for sure this fight will be very slow on the 1st rounds but will eventually become explosive in the remaining of the rounds, so for me, my pick is Marlon Chito Vera

Holly Holm VS Yana Santos

The stake odds for this fight are 1.40 for Holly Holm and 2.95 for Yana Santos, For this fight we all know the striking game of Holly Holm but we will have to see if her return will have a great impact in the UFC, moving on but we all see the recent fights for the women division they are adding wrestling to their game and if Yana Santos could get that for herself they that could be a weakness against Holm, Right now I am going with Holly Holm just to be safe,

Nate Landwehr VS Austin Lingo

The stake odds for this fight are 1.47 for Landwehr and 2.70 for Lingo, for this fight, it looks like that extra 0.5 height for Landwehr is not an advantage at all but surely he is more explosive in my opinion that Lingo his last fight with David Onama was a majority decision win which is kind of great he surely have dominated the stand-up, I think Nate Landwehr has more great stuff for Austin Lingo so my pick is Nate Landwehr,

You know Chito Vera really well. As you said, he started the fight slowly. A good counter attack and his opponents usually try to understand the game plan while defending, he accelerates in the next rounds and ends the game. I thought Vera would make a comeback to the second and third rounds. When Cory Sandhagen showed off his wrestling skills, he had the upper hand against Chito Vera and wouldn't let him do anything. During the five rounds there was a strange difference in strokes. Sandhagen dominated the entire fight. Many of the features he has confuse his opponents, jumping knee, throwing elbows and take down attempts and he does not get tired. It is certain that Sandhagen cares more about wrestling after losing to the wrestlers.

Well, it was an awesome fight, and Holy show us a great fight with those dominating takedowns. In the start Yana was really explosive, but that energy ends fast, in the end of the first round I realize that fight will be an easy win for Holy.

So, it was a big surprise for me, and looks like she will chase the champion belt again, will keep an eye on her fights this year, and let's make some money with her.

Even i did not expect Holy Holm would start taking people down in her 40s and change her fighting style, from a pure striker to a fighter who could control opponents on the ground at this age was not expected and she lost against Miesha Tate, a fight Holm was winning on the ground, only striking battle she lost was against Valentina Shevchenko and if Holy Holm can continue surprising the opponent like she did with this fight then she can get another shot at the title.

Yes! Marlon Vera surely has a slow start accessing his opponent's movement and just always relies on good counters but yeah Cory Sandhagen really dominated him I think this should be a majority decision win for Sandhagen and truly the judges are not doing their job properly I really hated that Marlon Chito Vera lost but I think with this fight he has to learn the hard way to get back to what he is missing Chito Vera has a good submission record I want him to get back to that can learn from this fight but I really never expected for Cory Sandhagen to resort in wrestling he surely shown good stamina simply because of his training with wrestling and for sure a good fight against Merab Dvalishvili,

Here are the result of my picks for the UFC Fight Night: Vera vs. Sandhagen

Marlon Vera VS Cory Sandhagen ROUND 5 - DECISION - LOST

Because of Marlon Vera's slow start at the beginning of the rounds, Cory Sandhagen has taken this as an advantage in shooting those takedowns and dominated that starting rounds so Marlon Vera in the later rounds can not make up with the points, and surely the judges have messed the scoring because it was a split decision, for me it should be a Majority for Cory Sandhagen, and I think Sandhagen has done so much stuff here, elbows, flying knee, and his takedowns was really great,

Holly Holm VS Yana Santos ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

Holly Holm was really dominant in this fight and has a takedown now it was really shocking that strength in lifting Yana Santos and slamming her to the ground was really epic, and just like what she said he is trying something new, and with new, this is an improve Holly Holm for sure adding wrestling to her game, it is surely an improved version of Holm,

Nate Landwehr VS Austin Lingo ROUND 2 SUBMISSION - WIN

It was really expected, Nate Landwehr to win but surely Austin Lingo could be unpredictable at times, but surely Nate Landwehr has given him a hard time, with that power and that strength with his takedowns and while hammering Lingo while mounting his back Lingo's mouthpiece just fall down, and so Landwehr deliver a rear naked choke just to fasten Austin Ligo to tap,

She was not the underdog hehe. The odds on her were very small and very risky to bet considering that she is presently 41 years old. However, she has shown that she fights similar to when she was only 35 years old hehe. Her knees are still strong and they did not yet lose the bounce in movement. In the sport of boxing, the weakening of the knees was very noticeable in Manny Pacquiao's career.

UFC 287

Main card (ESPN+)
Middleweight: Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya
Welterweight: Gilbert Burns vs. Jorge Masvidal
Bantamweight: Rob Font vs. Adrian Yanez
Welterweight: Kevin Holland vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio
Bantamweight: Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Christian Rodriguez

Adesanya will try to prove in the rematch that the defeat was accidental, if I may say so, but this time his waiting strategy will be inappropriate as he needs a convincing victory. Pereira is something of a phenomenon for Adesanya, an uncomfortable opponent. Maybe Adesanya is in too much of a rush to get this rematch, maybe he should have fought a few more fights to regain his confidence, but instead he is sure that he should be Pereira's next opponent.

I don't really think Pereira is a big champion and he's more likely to be beaten by someone who's good at wrestling, but he says he doesn't mind fighting Adesanya again, he's beaten him many times and he has good confidence about this fight.

I would have preferred Adesanya to have a tune-up as well to revive his confidence. Pereira may not have the best wrestling skills and background but it is the same with Adensanya who's only a little better. This is more like a psychological battle for Adesanya. I have no idea why he did the rematch immediately. Pereira will be more confident in the octagon this time while Adesanya after suffering another stoppage will have less confidence and might run the entire fight. I see a one-sided fight, Periera will either win another stoppage or a unanimous decision if Adesanya will be cautious and defensive the entire fight.

Meanwhile, Masvidal cannot wait to put his hands on Edwards. As if he can get past Durinho. Cheesy Masvidal only fights once every year now and lost 3 times in a row and this will be his 4th.

Whoa! we will not have a fight this week, it is a bummer but I guess it is a great rest for bettors and for the fighters of UFC they will be having more time to prepare for their fight and now that Israel Adesanya's ace card was shown to the public and it is clear in the open Alex Pereira really knows his plan, and if he's not going to exploit it that wrestling game of Adesanya will surely get him, with that wrestling game and if Alex Pereira's takedown defense is not enhanced then he will be in trouble, I am surely panning on Gilbert Burns, maybe Rob Font, Raul Rosas Jr., Santiago Ponzinibbio, Li Jingliang, and Michelle Waterson, but surely this could change when I post my picks,

She was not the underdog hehe. The odds on her were very small and very risky to bet considering that she is presently 41 years old. In the sport of boxing, the weakening of the knees was very noticeable in Manny Pacquiao's career.

Her training with wrestling has proven that it strengthens her lower body parts it not only gives her stamina but including to strengthening the knees, for sure, Holly Holm is a different fighter now, but surely at  41 I think she will eventually retire soon, maybe another fight or another lost then she will surely hang off her gloves,

I would have preferred Adesanya to have a tune-up as well to revive his confidence. Pereira may not have the best wrestling skills and background but it is the same with Adensanya who's only a little better. This is more like a psychological battle for Adesanya. The question here is does Israel Adesanya really OK, not physically but mentally OK I really don't know if he is in good shape mentally I really think that the ghost is still haunting him back in his loss with their kickboxing match and now with the MMA match, I really don't know if he already flushes all of those Negative thoughts about Alex Pereira, I think it still haunts him in his sleep, I just wish he is properly OK with it,

Lol did you watch the first match?  No tune up needed.  Adesanya was ahead in most of rounds and was on his way to winning the match if not for the misstep he had at the last round.  So rematch is better imho.

And it might not have shown but there are some folks saying that Adesanya was getting tired.  But dunno...  Gotta watch the fight again.

Masvidal isn't as good as most of everyone likes to believe.  Edwards will eat him alive.  And it's the other way around.  It's Edwards who wants to get his hands on Masvidal.

Cory Sandhagen did win by split decision but it was real even fight much diffrent than bookies showed it, and Vera had his chances.
I was happy with most of my other UFC predictions but I failed beting Vera simply because win on him had much better odds.
This week there is no UFC event so we can focus more on news and other MMA competitions, and boxing events.

Don't forget to make your predictions for Sportsbet boxing match Anthony Joshua vs. Jermaine Franklin starting this Saturday:

Isreal Adasenya - Perreria match, yes, the match of my favorite duo. In kickboxing matches, they leave their struggles behind and fight in a cage. Perreria cornered Adasenya with hard hits and could not respond. Physically, Adasenya remains thinner. I remember his shocking hits before the end of the first round, but they are not as explosive as Perreria's. If this fight survives, I assume Adasenya will lose again. If adasenya pulls the fight to the ground then he might have a better chance.

But Adesanya isn't a wrestler, so there's no way Adesanya pulls the fight to the ground. I think the fight will goes distance and Pereira will win again, Adesanya need to be more slick to avoid getting a lot punches by Pereira, this could make Adesanya win via decision.

Pereira is the underdog here, so I will not want to miss this moment. Maybe this fight will be end up like Edwards vs Usman, where Usman was still lost even he's better than previous.
