I have 10 x S2 coupons, PM me if you are interested.

On another note, has anybody figured out why there are so many duplicates with S2? I have Dragon miner and a few S1s and none of them show that many duplicates

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I have for sale:
3x AntMiner S2 Coupon 400 USD valid to 2014-05-30

I offer these for 0.07 BTC each. There's a new donate feature on bitmain's web page so the coupons are easy to transfer.

Let me know if interested.

Faetos!!! Thank you!!!!!
Taipo!!! Thank you!!!!!
I received your coupons and they will help out.  I am wanting to make a mad dash for miners as the difficulty climbs.  Crazy, I know!!! I am hoping to  grab about 5 of these babies within the next month.

You're welcome! I'm glad you could use them. What a great idea for the donation feature, bitmain.

For every new miner the value of all existing miners decline. If there were a community spirit we would refrain from buying more miners.  Smiley

I have some s2 coupons.  2  of them.

Also     if any one has an s1 I would like 1 coupon.

philipma1957 is the bitmain name.

I got 1 s1 coupon and I traded off 1 s2.

 So I have 1 s2 left  .

I sent the second and last S2 coupon to miniMiner.  miniMiner please send the s-1 to me.

Thanks

Ok, I have a 1Th/s S2 Antminer and while I am enjoying its returns currently, I want to enter the lottery and solo mine bitcoins and other coins from time to time.

Q - Has anyone to date, been able to configure this mining machine to solo mine?  I have tried every combination I can think of but to no avail.  I can get it to go live on my local IP connecting to Bitcoin-Qt but it does not hash and the beepers sounds after about 1 minute.

I have even contacted Bitmain but they have not been helpful at all.

Any advice appreciated at this point (APART FROM POOL ADDICTS WHO WILL ADVISE NOT TO SOLO MINE)

I think that s2 support only stratum pools, standard client is getwork, maybe is for this reason that start to beep

Buy a few s-1's .  with your risking taking set of courage (ie balls) it is a good idea   you can get 2 for .92btc  if you have coupons 2 for .82btc

if you undervolt and under clock them to 150gh and 200 watts.   you solo mine with 300gh.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=526060.0

this is the under volt under clock thread.

if you do take this on  and get the s-1s working as solo miners please let us know.

I have 7 s-1's I do not know how to solo mine them.   I would not mind running 1 or 2 as solo miners.

Yep... I have seen that still... I want to losing anything other than paying for the electricity considering S2 I will be using already paid for :-) Bought 4 x Batch 3 S2 and sold 3 of them on eBay to cover for the 4th miners :-)

Pool or solo mining still contributing towards network... If I get very lucky, my Las Vegas trip will be paid for

Thank you. I pointed 1 of 7  s-1's at it.

for those that want to get an idea. of what the chances are for 1 s-1  at todays diff.   here is what you do.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

go to the above link punch in 200gh or 180gh if you are not overclocking.

in 1 day  you should earn .01136 btc  you want a block or 25 coins  so divide  25 by .01136 you get 2200.7 to 1 chance of getting one today.

to those of you that understand investing vs gambling is solo mining today with an s-1 an investment or a gamble?

 to chuckbuck thank you.
