I'm not surprised by Manchester United losing against Atletico Madrid on their own stadium.
Atletico Mardid is a very difficult opponent and Man United is in a great crisis(the game against Tottenham,where Christiano Ronaldo played outstanding and scored three goals was just a fluke).
I'm surprised that Ajax couldn't defeat Benfica,but those teams are pretty equal at their level and the chances were 50:50.
At this point I'm confident that Chelsea might get kicked out of the UEFA Champions League,due to the sanctions against Roman Abramovich.LOSC will definitely win,but the question is,will they score more than three goals?

Atletico Madrid never needed to be at their best to beat them. and it goes to show you how ordinary Manchester United are at this particular moment.

The worst thing Manchester united did was to sack Mourinho, I didn't think it was the best decision. The board of the clubs need some rethinking before they hire or fire any manager again. For example, I still don't understand what the current manager is doing at the club and they should better get rid of him as fast as possible or they'll lose it before the season ends. The previous caretaker before the current manager would had been their best bet before they probably get a better replacement. The problem of Manchester united is the manager.

Why on earth is he still playing Maguire, there are better options that can actually defense so why play someone who has no clue on defending. Manchester united gets nothing from this season. They're finally out of the only completions they stood a chance at. The premier league titles or top 4 is out of their reach. Sadly they won't be competing in the champions league next season because I don't see them ending the season in a position that'll guarantee that.

Compared to Mourinho, van Gaal is even better. But Manchester United have not found the right person and Rangnick's figure is only temporary because his focus is not as the main coach. Odds for Juventus is really great, at 2.0 at the time I write this post. It shows that Juventus is not that favorite to win with that odds. You are right that both team has equal chance but Juventus has an advantage as they are going to play in front of their own supporters. Morata was on fire in Juventus last match, if he can be consistent and play as what he did in his last match then it will be good for the team. What I'm worrying about is about the fact that the previous 2 CL matches, United vs Atl Madrid and Ajax vs Benfica where the match ended up with the away team go to the next round. Both matches were ended in a draw in the first leg. Similar situation with Juventus vs Villareal, first leg was a draw in Estadio de la Ceramica and today we will watch the second leg that will be held in Allianz.  Will the away team go to the next round like what happened in the previous 2 CL matches?

For both team the performance expected was gotten. Benfica might not be consistent but the still have this special pressure in their game plan but for manchester united their game is a true definition of straight gambling. No consistency, no style of play, very little coordination. If by chance manchester united won whether by penalty shoot out or a lucky goal they won't have escaped the next phase. Athletico can actually make the next stage a bit competitive i am glad they won

Huge surprises yesterday night in Champions League games.I thought Manchester United and especially Cristiano would have done a lot more to get that qualifying which looked more than achievable in paper but they were surprised by a good Atletico Madrid yesterday night.They had all the second half to turn things around yet they could not.

Ajax is even a bigger surprise going out of Champions League especially considering their low odd for yesterday game that suggested they would have won with a lot of goal difference.Benfica is a strong team but is not at the levels it was before nevertheless yesterday they show good gameplay and qualified further.

Another trophy-less season for Manchester United after being knocked out of the Champions League. In response to Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick against Tottenham, the team started boasting on social media about their ability to defeat any team. You can never get anywhere with pride. For the second consecutive year, both Ronaldo and Messi were eliminated in the last 16 of the Champions League. Ronaldo and Messi's time appears to be waning, and it's time for others to step up.

I think all Benfica fans were expecting to lose. Throughout the game, all I could think of was: when will Ajax score a goal?  
But, despite not having played well, they played a very consistent game and the team was very well organized tactically, and that ended up paying off.

The next phase will be more difficult, since you will for sure play against a great team, which is fighting for the victory in the competition.

Many will believe that Juventus are more confident to advance to the quarter-finals than Villarreal, myself included. Against Villarreal in Turin it will be a testament to Juventus striker V. Vlahovic who has been declining in terms of scoring goals even though in the 1st leg he scored the fastest goal.
But Villarreal will try to break this prediction by playing a counter-attack, because they know that Juventus are weak in anticipating counter-attacks.

I have said this before about Ajax. Great team to watch but they are always giving one the impression of young and inexperienced and weak. I know it sounds like an insult but do not worry,,, I also call my own team the same. Spurs and Ajax play so great when they are confident. Put them a goal down and everybody loses steam.

Manchester united also didn't play too bad but Atletico Madrid's defense made the United players feel frustrated and they didn't dare to hold the ball because Atlético Madrid's players played very tempramentally, United could not score at all and made their steps to be stopped in the round of 16 , the match that was full of surprises was Ajax vs. Benfica where Nunez's goal brought Benfica to the next round, and in the other match Juventus vs Villarreal of course all parties favored Juventus to go to the next round with their home match so far unbeaten in 3 matches last, and for the Lille vs Chelsea match it could give Lille a little advantage in the midst of the crisis faced by their opponents.but scoring three goals is not an easy matter considering Chelsea is still so solid

In the end I made the right choice for Atletico and actually for Benfica too, but before the match started I saw the odds were very different and it was like something the bookies knew so I finally changed my choice to Ajax. But in the end, they just capitalized on the first goal and then defended it really well. Messi and Ronaldo this season have become players who seem to be in a mediocre team, they were even eliminated from the UCL round of 16 and in fact, their squad is a squad that is better than their opponents.

According to my prediction, Juventus is superior because they play at their own headquarters, the prediction of Juventus' victory is 49%, while the victory for Vilareal is 23%, while the draw is 28%, Juventus in their own domestic league are now playing very well, from 3 matches Juventus succeeded win, while Villareal's performance is less consistent, my prediction is that Juventus will make it to the quarter-finals of the champions league.

If we look at the first half even though Manchester United dominated but Atletico's quick counter-attack was really dangerous. But maybe not dangerous but I prefer to say that Atletico's attack was left to chance by the defenders lol.
One goal that was offside was a clear sign that MU was not good at analyzing the opponent's moves on the counter-attack and it actually happened a few minutes after the goal was disallowed.
