a few minutes ago the draw was made for the quarterfinals in the cl.
bayern and liverpool were lucky and meet the supposedly weakest clubs in this round. the other two pairings are very balanced. i'm curious if atletico will kick the second manchester team out of the tournament.

Bayern and Liverpool are obviously the favorites here. It would be a surprise if they get eliminated
ManCity should be able to kick out Atletico. Chelsea vs Madrid is the most balanced match. Anything is possible here. Seeing the pairings now, I hope that at least 1 team from Spain/Portugal will make it to the semi-finals (to avoid an all english semi-final and potentially final)

I must say it is not going to be an easy match knowing very well Real Madrid will not accept to be beaten twice. Liverpool should be okay against Benfica. Manchester city will have to be decisive and very careful against Atletico Madrid. They have been dominant in this stage of the competition than them. They have the experience than them. Diego Simeone has the techniques to make them scale through. He his a tactician in this stage of the competition.

Probably the best possible draw for Liverpool. We are much stronger than Benfica and should be comfortable favorites across 2 legs so I expect us to progress to the semifinals. I wanted to avoid City there - we got Bayern (if they win their game of course - but they are strong favorites against Villarreal as well) which is a better alternative to City, and probably to Real as well.

Bayern is strong offensively but has many issues in their defensive part of the game this year - and that is something Liverpool will know how to take advantage of.

It is possible that it could be repeated the UCL final by two more Premier League clubs like last year. But this UCL they often play beyond expectations, even big teams are hard to win.

In my opinion Liverpool will see at least the semi-finals. I think it was a big surprise that Villarreal beat Juventus 3-0 in Italy. I thought that Juventus, who was doing well in Italy, would have won at home, but I was wrong.  Great win from Villarreal. I think this was the biggest surprise. Only Chelsea have tough opponents and representatives from the Premier League can indeed be said to be easy but that is not on paper as a guarantee of winning.
I can also guess the same as you who will qualify for the semifinals later but that is unlikely to happen even if we will know which one is the best on the other hand Benfica is also a formidable opponent.

It appears that at least one English club will compete in this year's Champions League final; you accurately predicted what I was thinking; Manchester City and Liverpool should easily defeat their opponents; the only game that is close is Real Madrid vs Chelsea; however, I'm confident that Chelsea will progress ; they dominated them last season, and I don't believe anything has changed in the Real Madrid team. I'm not delighted that Bayerm got the easier draw. If your predictions come true, the semi-finals will be Chelsea-Manchester City and Liverpool-Bayern Munich, correct? Manchester City would like to exact vengeance on Chelsea after losing to them in the final last season.

It would be interesting to see the quotes of what club will advance to the semi-finals on aggregate. I have no questions for Liverpool, Bayern and City, but I can't understand why Chelsea is so highly rated. Real Madrid top 1 in Spain, Chelsea top 3 in England plus the club is in a difficult position right now and this should have an impact on sporting results. In my opinion, these odds are unfair and will change in favor of Real Madrid.

I already have my favourites for the semi-finals after seeing the draws for the quarter-finals. I think that Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are very likely to reach next round. Benfica did a huge job by eliminating Ajax but I'm afraid this is the end of the road. And Manchester City wouldn't make a big mistake against Atletico Madrid too. Atletico Madrid have reached this round because of Manchester United's bad look. Chelsea - Real Madrid is a really tough matchup but I believe Real Madrid are better now. And Bayern Munich would finish Villarreal off as well.
