I didn't watch the match but looking at the stats, I feel like this is the fault of bad tactics on the part of the manager.  The line up says he played the no. 9 role but why did Ronaldo mostly played at the left flank?  And it seems like he wasn't even drifitng to the middle...  His heat map shows this and his stats says he had zero shots on and off target?

And I was sooo confident my bet for Ronaldo anytime goal scorer at 2.85 would hit.  Lolol.    Sucks cos I don't think it's his fault, just bad tactics as said.

My prediction is that Man United will win. I saw the Tottenham game and it made me very confident Man United won. But it seems like they're really unstable right now. Finishing badly, there was no determination of the game, they seemed to rush to attack. This shows how weak the coordination and mentality of Man United at the moment. Now Ronaldo's fate is the same as Messi's, they have to watch UCL for the next. Maybe they have to improve in order to enter the UCL zone in the rest of the EPL matches.

Juventus - Villarreal

in the first game it was clear that villareal had greater chances to score goals and they missed it, but as strange as it seems after the game against juventus villareal won a league game and then started to drop in performance, they started to lose points and finding it difficult to score many goals, so I think that for this match, Juventus can win the game, just have good defense and good attack and take advantage of this bad phase of villareal

The formation that Juventus used in this match is still the same as they did the massacre against Sampdoria in Serie A last week and the players are almost the same. The difference here is that Dusan is back playing and I'm looking forward to him in his performances now.
Juventus have to make the most of this match with a squad that can be said as it is now because some of their players are still not available at the moment but this will not bother them because I think they are quite ready for this match now.

I think Juventus will win in this game because they play as home and get many fans support tonight except latest drawing score on first leg but Juventus can winning tonight, but need to score before first half finish. Usually Juventus looks not lucky if against team scoring first and they have not good motivate how to come back and winning if have loss early. I see all Juventus player already tonight not any injury and they as the only one Serie A team still on champion league after Inter Milan kick out by Liverpool last week. I see many expectation reputation for Serie A rating on Champion league if Juventus failure to qualify on quarter final.

Juventus today win this match in my opinion also because I think they are a better team than Villarreal. You know, Villarreal haven't done anything too good in La Liga.
And I think Juventus has faced a lot more competition than them, especially in this season.
so, I don't think it is going to be hard for Juventus to win against a mid-tier team in La Liga. Especially when Villareal have won only one match in the last five.

LOSC Lille - Chelsea FC
in my opinion chelsea will win this game, but will not score many goals

Lille Should not win against Chelsea unless something magical happens. Chelsea should be the winners of this match and should beat Lille. The merging should be at least 2 goals in my opinion.

I don't really understood what happened to my club Manchester United in that match. With the way they started it was certain to me that they will win the match but the reverse was the case. Despite that they dominated the game in possessions and in passes.
I really wished Ralf Rangnick made that 66 minutes changes immediately second half started. Who knows if the story would have been different. Well it was a disappointing night for Manchester United fans, we expected much from Ronaldo.

Manchester United were only passing the ball around the midfield, doing nothing with it, they couldn't break the Atletico Madrid defense, the best they got going forward was corner kicks, they spent the entire game complaining about the ref decision, I knew the game was over the moment Bruno and Elegan were taken off in the second half, they were the only players causing problems for the Atletico Madrid team, Matic and Pogba were very poor, they offer nothing to the team. Tbh I wasn't surprised because I knew they wouldn't make it past round 16.

I knew that something like this is going to happen because Manchester United have not played as a team for a long time, and Atletico Madrid just took the benefit of it.
If you look at the stats I think you can see that Manchester United had most of the possession of the ball but the truth is there we are just passing the ball aimlessly and they would not form any coordinated attack.

and @Minor Miner, yes agreed with you I think once again we can say that if Ronaldo does not score Manchester United cannot win. I have to say Cristiano Ronaldo deserves better than this.

Some bookmakers gave Juventus big odds in the early hours of today but even at that I have high faith/hope that Juventus will win tonight's game against collateral and if you see the game formations of both clubs one can easily see the advantage that Juventus stand to enjoy in the game but you know as usual their need to play attacking football to build that confidence to score an early goal.

As I predicted yesterday, MU inconsistency is happening right now. Atletico had a more organized attack than United, although in the second half there were plenty of chances that United could have taken advantage of to make a goal. MU next season must completely change the composition of players and coach strategy, and Rangnick's opportunity to be replaced by another coach is very open, considering his contract is also temporary with MU.

Despite their inconsistencies i thought Manchester united played better than what i had expected of them, and imo i think crashing out of the champions league is the best thing that happened to them as they will have more time to work on the team and iron out the problems at hand. Btw Atletico Madrid were not in their best of forms but they took advantage of the fewer chances they had to send united packing which was a bitter sweet moment for me.

It was a really interesting night. Ajax and Manchester United both were eliminated at the end of the night. What a disaster! I would understand Manchester United's result to be honest because Atletico Madrid had equal chance to advance too. And they deserved to advance. But I won't say the same for Benfica. I mean that they found several chances only and still won by 1-0. Ajax dominated the whole game but it was for nothing. They must be really devastated after all the effort they made.

4-4-2 I see this is a formation that would be good enough for Juventus while Villarreal uses a 4-4-1-1 formation. but here I see Dybala rested a bit by allegri and surely dybala will be played in the second half if the match is not going so well. I predict a slim win for juventus (maybe 1-0)

Juventus today win this match in my opinion also because I think they are a better team than Villarreal.

And last night we thought that Ajax will win! But that didn't happen! I agree that Juve looks like a better team, but Villareal showed something in the first game, I am sure they didn't come to Italy just to lose! It's not that I don't believe in the victory of Juventus, I'm just very careful after the last games and surprises in CL! Lille has battled Chelsea for close to 20mins but Chelsea is dominating the game. With Chelsea aggregate 2 goals, I don't think there is a chance for Lille this night. I am not seeing any seriousness, because if Lille is to be successful in this match they should be able to score at least 1 goal in this first half. But is that even possible when we have the likes of Kante and Rudiger in the field defending for Chelsea Fc. I can confidently say that Lille will not survive this night.

rangnick seems to have a strategy that is not much different from ole, looking at the strategy he made is like looking at ole's strategy. Man utd's midfield and front have been good, only the backline is still very bad, in the transfer market what Man utd must prioritize is to find competent defenders, who can make man utd's back line stronger so I'm sure they can dominate the premier league again and even UCL.

That could be true but, i still have to maintain that, with the squad theuve got now at hand in Manchester United they've got to be winning matches. Take a good look at Aston Villa, a mid tier team with very little quality players and good coach and they are doing well in the EPL.  Same is what could be expected of Manchester United both in the EPL and UCL because, they can be that good but the reverse is the case instead. The advantages of playing at home should be put to good use in this case because of course this will provide a spark of more enthusiasm with the presence of their 12th player, namely supporters who are ready to shake and make the Villarreal players feel uncomfortable.

I think we will see 2 more matches with less goals. A similar scenario to yesterday's games. The difference is that Chelsea had won 2-0 at home, so Lille must do everything they can to quickly make that 1-0. Man United did win possession ball but their attack wasn't that great where the Man United midfielder looks confused in breaking down Atletico Madrid's defense, even the Man United defense is always struggling to face a counterattack from Atlético. Juventus have been performing really great so far. They have owned the game literally until this point and didn't let Villarreal have many chances. If the game goes on like this for a long time, the bells will be ringing for Villarreal here. Because if Juventus score first, Villarreal will have to double their effort at least to equalize the score. Juventus defense can be very solid in a condition like that. They are really good at keeping their goal advantage in this kind of situations. But we will wait and see as Villarreal might surprise us too.

0-1 for Chelsea by the end of the first half. An unpleasant result just before the break - this usually has a bad effect on the mood of the players. I hope the Chelsea coach will be able to set them up correctly for the second half and Chelsea will win (yes, I bet on Chelsea to win  )
In the second pair, Juventus missed several almost 100% opportunities. It could cost them a lot in the end.
