As for the matchup between Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, I'm favouring Manchester City to advance to next round of course. And most people are going to be doing the same as me. Because Atletico Madrid would be in a big trouble against them even though they have a solid defensive play. Manchester City are not a similar team to Manchester United now. They wouldn't do many simple mistakes and wouldn't forgive the probable mistakes of Atletico Madrid too. And the first leg is in Etihad which could demoralize Atletico Madrid more. I think that Manchester City will have a very favorable result already then.

This season, Atlético's defense is far from its best form and concedes too many goals (more than a goal per game). Therefore, if their plan is to wait until the penalty shootout, it will be very difficult to implement. But the fact that the first match they play away gives them a slight advantage. Playing the decisive game at home is much more profitable.

Playing at the opponent's home becomes a tough task for Atletico Madrid to be able to outperform the game. Manchester City game is very difficult to penetrate the defense. If you want to play a penalty shoot-out, the consequences in my opinion will be better for Atletico, because they can hold more than 90 dives to keep it level. But is Manchester City really letting go without a goal at home to happen?... difficult

I agree, the way City press I think will be lot more difficult for Atletico to handle. They might able to handle till one point of the game but will break out to them eventually. This is not as easy as facing United and even while facing United they were having a tough time. Atletico might have a shot in counters against City but I expect City's current defence to deal with them easily. I think City are very much the favorites to advance.

Real Madrid are going to have Chelsea as their next opponent in the quarter final stage of the Champions League. They showed a very impressive performance against PSG in the previous stage. It was a spectacular comeback indeed. After seeing this, my expectation from them has risen a lot. Especially Benzema makes a huge difference for the team. He literally carried the team against PSG for example. Chelsea can be a really tricky opponent for them now and they already eliminated Real Madrid once last season. But as long as Ancelotti has his players ready for this draw, I believe they can make it.

It seems to be a moot point, but it isn't, because Manchester City's attack is really crazy and difficult to counter... The match won't be a blowout either way, I think. Benfica and Villarreal both are completely unexpected teams in the quarter finals now. They surprised and impressed everyone by eliminating much bigger teams like Ajax and Juventus. Actually Benfica surprised me only because their performance was really poor during the whole game. But Villarreal's performance in the second half against Juventus was very interesting. I mean especially the last fifteen minutes. Even if they both are eliminated now, it would still be a big achievement for both of them.

With internal problem for Chelsea I think give benefit for Real Madrid how possibility qualify to semi final. I believe have chance in this season for Real Madrid can trough to final stage beside have expectation to be champion and become most collected champion league trophy than other club.

Do you think the internal problem in Chelsea to make their players decrease perfromance? I don't think so. Chelsea performance looks good although there is a big problem in Chelsea, in EPL they won all 5 last matches. This means there is no any effect (impact) from the internal problem, Chelsea players still can do their best performance in each EPL match. I assume it will be the same as in UCL, Chelsea should have no problem doing their best effort even if they have an internal problem. So, I doubt if the internal problem in Chelsea will take advantage of Real Madrid.

I'm also surprised that Benfica and Villarreal can make it to the quarter-finals, they showed extraordinary fighting spirit to get rid of Ajax and

won't qualify for the next round. Because after all Liverpool and Bayern who will be their opponents are very strong teams and play

I don't think achievement from Benfica on UEFA Champion League to quarter final round because have lucky drawing from group stage until drawing on 16 round where getting with Ajax Amsterdam, but I was excited with achievement from Villareal actually on 16 round they have success defeated Manchester United as favorite team will lead to quarter final. To know how impressive performance showed by Benfica we need waiting result on quarter final, could give impressed predicting again when against with Liverpool on quarter final? The same with Villareal could they get magician for defeating as bigger team Bayern Munich on quarter final for lead to semifinal?

I think it is the time for real madrid to get their revenge from last year's defeat against Chelsea, and of course it's going to be tough, but Real Madrid are better than Chelsea right now besides the big loss against Barcelona, it's going to be an interesting one to say the least both can qualify and I won't be shocked, but my pick has to be in the favor of real Madrid, I didn't like Chelsea in the second half of this season, they got worse which the opposite of what happened to real madrid.

Nothing will happen with Bayern Munich when they don't emerge victorious, because in the end the loser will always go home with honor and that applies to all clubs in the Champions League.
This season Villarreal does look very consistent in playing, but if the opponent is Bayern Munich, then I am more confident to hold Bayern Munich in this Champions League match.

Bayern Munich can always win Villareal if they should meet.Before analysing something,we first of all look at the types and calibre's of players we have in each of the clubs we are talking about here.Looking at the calibre of players they have at Bayern,you'll see that almost all of them are a class,and apart from the  their individual performances,Bayern are more consistent in performance than Villareal,more organised than them,so you  can't compare the both.

Bayern Munich are favorite to win Villarreal. Sometimes I wonder what's Villarreal still doing in the champions league, because they are not playing like the want to win the match but rather a defensive game and it's had been helping them. That's how they beat Juventus 3-0, that same strategy would be applied against Bayern Munich. I know for sure that Bayern Munich is going to dominate the game when they will face Villarreal, the only weapon Villarreal can reach out to is a defensive tactics. Villarreal is ranked 7th on their league table and they are struggling to qualify for europa next season can't be compared to Almighty Bayern Munich who are sitting at the top of their league table. Let's not conclude yet, this is football and anything can happen.

Manchester City is favourite to win Atletico Madrid in this one,for me this is the weakest Atletico Madrid team over five years that Diego simeone have managed during his time here while this is almost the strongest Manchester City side pep Guadiola has managed so you see the advantage Manchester City has over Atletico Madrid.and Manchester City side will be coming very prepared for this one after narrowly missing out of lifting the trophy last year.

I mean, there are very few teams that would make City not be the favorites. I do not know how many, maybe Real, maybe Liverpool, maybe Bayern but that's about it, all the other teams would be clear underdogs against City.

It wouldn't even make City the underdogs against those great teams neither, they would probably still be favorites but at the same time they would not be dominating or being clear favorites, just close enough to make it leveled playing field. In the end City will destroy ATM unless something unexpected happens, we all know that it was clear for them to win against United because of how they played, but City is a different level team.

Yes Manchester City is a better team than Atletico Madrid in terms of having good players and squad but I don't think Manchester City will find this match easy even though they are the favourite in this fixture because Atletico Madrid have lots of experience in this competition, just like Pep Guadiola at Manchester City, Atletico has a very good tactician in Diego Simeone,I think he will prepare his team well for this game and I won't be too suprise if the Madrid side pick up a draw in the first leg.

What is certain is that both teams must be focused on this important match. In the first leg, I think Chelsea can take domination of the match. but in the second leg, it will be tough. So if Chelsea wants to be safe, I think take a lot of points and goals. because the difference of 1 or 2 goals could have been reversed by Madrid in the 2nd leg.
