The absence of Fakhar Zaman seems to be hurting them. His absence put a lot of pressure on Babar Azam, and it was very evident that he was not getting support from the other batsmen.

Can't someone just kick Misbah and Waqar out of PCB because of awful performances and decisions in the recent matches? Or is it a must to continue them for the whole 3 years?

^^^^ I think that the PCB must now seriously think about sacking Misbah ul Haq. His stupidity and bias is one of the reasons why Pakistan is in such a sorry state right now. Sarfaraz Ahmed was fired for much less, and I don't understand why they are giving so many chances to Misbah. And BTW, I don't know whose idea was it to drop Fakhar Zaman. The Babr Azam/Fakhar Zaman combination is the only reliable batting partnership Pakistan got. If you check the stats, you can see that the combination of these two players have rescued Pakistan from complete annihilation a lot many times.

They have taken the wicket of Mathews which was important and the Sri Lanka have already lost 5 wickets and they still trail by 95 runs and a wicket here and they can expose the tail end and finish off the innings as there is too much heat for the Pakistan players for performing this badly and the criticism they are getting might put the batsman into pressure but the bowlers are bowling really well and before the toss i thought this would be a batting friendly wicket.
