Today there was a statement from Dale Steyn regarding the prevailing situation caused as a result of the COVID 19 epidemic. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/28924286/take-sport-away-know-really-haveI agree with whatever he said. I am feeling a bit hollow for the past many days, since there is no live cricket going on in the TV. The PSL got postponed, after one of the players showed COVID symptoms and even the Over-50 world cup was called off. It is really difficult to keep entertained now.

To me it seems a very easy record to break. Once I slept over 80 hours with some little break for eating and going to toilet LOL Even i am spending my time watching movies and series as i am afraid to go out because the situation is alarming and sitting at home is the only solution during this phase but to watch movies continuously like this will have a toll on the body. Hope everyone here is safe and doing well. I agree with whatever he said. I am feeling a bit hollow for the past many days, since there is no live cricket going on in the TV. The fact is it is really weird as there is no sporting events, now we have all the time in the world and sit idle and watch movies and no sporting events which is depressing. No idea how these will proceed.

Few suggestions from my side, related to Test Cricket ofcourse....
-Fire in Babylon ( Windies Cricket 1970s) Amazon Prime / Netflix -The Test: A New Era For Australia's Team - Prime -The Edge (England Team 2009-2013) - Prime -Death of a Gentleman - Prime
Interesting list. I am especially interested in "The Edge" and "The Test". Might check them out soon. Also, there is a TV show dedicated to the Mumbai Indians on Netflix and it discusses their day to day stuff in detail. I recommend it. You have many choices sadly I have to concentrate on very few things for time pass as these are not available here Which country are you from? I ask because Netflix and Prime are available in almost every country these days. If you don't feel like subscribing, you can always ask your friends to share their subscriptions with you.

But check "Death of a Gentleman" too. its about Future of Test cricket and all wrongdoing/mis-management of ICC + BIG 3 (Ind+Aus+Eng) or as some call it PIG 3 . Will check it out MI, currently Watching "Roar of the Lion -CSK"

It focuses on the rise of CSK after they were screwed due to the ban and actually returned to win IPL once again and almost won another title in the next edition(Recent one against MI). Watching this made me realize why CSK has the best fan following amongst all clubs currently.

You cannot watch Netflix from two devices simultaneously but with prime and hotstar you can share the subscriptions and now a days these are the best option to spend time to watch all the series and without any events in the horizon for the next few months this is how majority will be spending the time and from the mentioned series i only watched Fire in Babylon till now and thanks JSRAW for suggesting Death of a Gentleman, will watch tonight.

Life lesson to take from Little Master about Test Cricket and Covid-19, its one reason i am freaking crazy or some call it "fanatic" about Test format. And yeah if we can act together as team then we can beat it. https://twitter.com/cricketdistrict/status/1240936382643818498

It's a must watch, if you are a die-hard cricket fan like me. The only negative it that it is a bit long (100 minutes, while I would have preferred a 60 minute version), and therefore there may be some lag. But still, I would rate it 9 out of 10 and give 10/10 stars for Jarrod Kimber and Jon Hotten.

I came here thinking you all are discussing cricket or may be hope of some cricket matches starting soon but the discussion is something else lol
Checked Espn and they are showing results of old matches between Ind and NZ and now just articles about COVID 19 :(Guess all matches postponed till May now.
I'm currently watching Contagion, The Great Plague and Spanish-flu documentaries and realizing those days were miserable with people believing in superstitions and mass burials.

Die hard cricket fans can watch highlights of the past matches. Most of the two dozen or so sports channels in India are showing these old matches. But I never watch these ones, as I don't get the same level of excitement that I get by watching the live matches. So for now, I have stopped watching cricket and I am currently using the time to watch movies (both Hollywood and Bollywood) as well as for learning new skills.

I can't watch repeat matches even when India is winning. Live is only fun. With no IPL, this entire year is getting boring. It was so much fun to see India vs India where any team wins, I still can celebrate

We still have the T20 World Cup and Oympics this year. I do not think they will be cancelled, most probably they might get postponed by a month or so.

Dude, you really think that the situation will improve in a month? Here are some stats for you: Total number of COVID 19 cases (medically confirmed)- February 01: 14,553 February 15: 69,197 March 01: 88,585 March 15: 169,593 March 20: 275,593 As you can see, the number of new infections during the 5 day period between 15th and 20th March was more than what we had in the 15 day period preceding it. Still hopeful that the situation will improve in a month? Note: all the data taken from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Note: all the data taken from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ You forgot that China has successfully contained the virus within a period of three months. There are no new cases coming out of the country. What we need to do is to put in place strict lockdown and harsh penalties. So, yes it is possible to stop the damm virus from infecting more people by taking the right decision. Go and read few articles https://www.wsj.com/articles/drop-in-new-coronavirus-cases-in-china-offers-hope-that-its-outbreak-is-ebbing-11582636045https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-51519055

^^^ Please check this one: China is not an exception. Similar to other countries, China was able to contain the outbreak only after it killed thousands of people. Check this: The only countries which have successfully contained the outbreak are Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, as these countries took precautions from a very early stage. But the other countries were not that lucky. China implemented a draconian lockdown, which is not practical in other countries.

It’s pertinent to note that US, India, UK and other countries reacted very late to this virus, and had they taken stringent actions in January this virus would never have spread so much. ^^^^ The United States and India have taken necessary precautions to reduce transmission. But the same can't be said about the United Kingdom. This was a scene from the London metro yesterday: One passenger was complaining that the metro is very crowded (since they cancelled more than 50% of the services) and a lot of people were coughing and very few of them had masks on their face. Some of the countries are still being complacent.

As compared to countries like Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland the case reported in United Kingdom is still less. But, if people do not start imposing self quarantine by themselves then the government can also not help them.
People should understand that they are risking not only their lives but also the lives of their loved ones.
They should also understand that they are helping the virus to spread whenever they are going outside.
