350 runs is really big. IMO In real world setting even 300 runs looks impossible. But if i have to bet on any opener then will go with Rohit sharma.

Remember the old days when the entire team used to score something between 250-300 and we all thought that was an epic score? This is why I am pretty confident that someone out there will touch 350 at some point in the next decade.

I would bet on someone like Smith or Warner to achieve something so humungous against a lower ranked team probably.

350 by a player is really tough as its really need some good skills and luck if you are going from current players then surely I am going only for two players and they are Rohit and Warner about Smith its really hard or we can say mission impossible because he is never been good in this format.

Not really that tough as you are thinking. Long before the 200 from Sachin, it was also said to be impossible and Rohit made it 263/264. Watson was the player may be who made 176 from 76 balls in ODI. As an opener, it is possible to get 350 and I believe after couple of year we will have a name for that.

@Royse777 first of all we’ll need to find few sponsorers for the team, and then secondly we’ll need a new name for the team as I’m not sure whether @thermos would allow us to use bitcointalk name so let’s figure out a good name for the team. Lastly I’ll take the spot of Pollard or Maxwell as whenever I see a ball bouncing towards me, I immediately swing my bat to send it to the stands so I’ll take the role of finishing the innings for the team if you allow me too.

Yes, previously it was very tough Job to score 200 runs when Rohit Sharma enters, he easily scores more than 2 times. It is based on their skills and their dominating technique will easily help them to score them easily. Every decade we might see a new person will be like a torch banner to turn cricket into the next level.

You do understand that for scoring 350 runs, the opener has to face something around 200 balls with a strike rate of 175+. I highly doubt a player will have an opportunity to face 2/3rd of the balls being bowled and scoring without getting out at a strike rate of 175 is definitely not easy.

You do understand that for scoring 350 runs, the opener has to face something around 200 balls with a strike rate of 175+. I highly doubt a player will have an opportunity to face 2/3rd of the balls being bowled and scoring without getting out at a strike rate of 175 is definitely not easy.

Few peoples feel this is magic but really a tough job because 350 runs by a batsman in an inning of 300 total balls you can do this only with blind cricket but still very hard case in ODI as @akhjob already describe few things this need surely some good number of balls no easy work guys.

In the match Rohit opened the innings and he batted till the last ball of the innings and made 264 runs and that included 33 boundaries and 9 sixes with a strike rate of 152, in the case of Watson he scored 176 run in a Test match but his highest ODI score is 185 not out in just 96 balls and Australia won the match if not he would have scored a double century as he was in murderous form and he smashed 15 sixes and 15 fours in that match but for someone to score a triple century in ODI is impossible.

A decade back people were happy if one thier players scored century, then we saw batsman scoring more than 150 runs in a oneday match. Things  went viral when they started scoring double century.

It will happen someday when a batsman will score a triple century. You just need to keep an eye on the new comers. I do not think the oldies who had achieved double century will be able to cross this mark.

Not sure about Staff but i believe they are covered as well, you are right National team can afford pay cut but India A and domestic players seems more vulnerable so this step is welcome.

Clarke is one of the dumbest fools I have ever seen in the world of Cricket though he is a great batsman. He is a very biased commentator based on what I have observed and blurts out silly shit without thinking things through.

Almost everyone knows that sledging Kohli makes him perform better(Especially Aussies). He choose this grave situation to blurt out this shit. Unbelievable. Am happy to see the Aussies giving it back to him.
