It clearly states in the articles that it has been cancelled due to COVID19. In India this virus is spreading like a wildfire. Some Indian states have again placed lockdown in order to control the spread. All tournaments that were schedule to happen in India will get cancelled for sure.

Actually this was expected. It is unimaginable, to even think of India hosting international matches for the next 2-3 months. As you have posted, the increase in the number of new cases have been insane. Every nook and corner is hit and no one is safe anymore. The only way for this series to move forward is to shift it to some safe country, such as Sri Lanka. And at this point, the BCCI may not be willing to do that.

After the entire 2011 World Cup allegations scandal recently, I don't see any hope for Indian matches in Sri Lanka since the respective boards probably hate each other currently. I was surprised to learn that so many people still think that it is possible for IPL 2020 to resume this year even though the fact is that it is close to impossible currently since India is the 4th worst hit country so far and the end is nowhere in sight.

Sri lankan authorities didn't took those allegation very seriously and shot down all investigation quickly after couple of interviews. BCCI didn't even gave any major reaction on so-called fixing controversy, so there is no bad blood between BCCI and SLC.

In another thread someone said that the BCCI is sending their players for training to the UAE, may be they will be resuming cricket in other countries rather than playing in India. I am following the news and i can see that India is the worst affected country in the past one month the number of patients are increasing which is not a big surprise considering the population they have and the sub par living conditions for the poor.

Now after recent outbreak of this Corona one thing is clear IPL2020 is not going to be played in India even without Crowd but BCCI is working on other options as right now they have two good replacements and both are favourable to them so surely after verdict about Twenty/20 world cup we will have something serious about this all.

I was curious to know who was that one Pakistani player included in the top 5 batsman and was happy to see Baber Azam to make it in the Top 5 batsmen of the world. Just imagine all 5 of these guys in a single team. Would be absolutely glorious.
That would be a night mare for the bowlers. No opposition would want to see such a strong batting line up.

It was obvious from the beginning that the situation would get worse as you cannot attain anythng just by locking down the entire country and during that time if they would have tested and identified the positive cases then the situation could be controlled by now but to forsee this you need to have a good administration leading the country and if you lack that you will fall behind and that is what is happening in Brazil India and Mexico.

Baber Azam is one of best batsman in current Pakistan team but sadly he is not playing cricket as other top order world class batsmen playing which is hurting his cause for becoming much better batsman if Pakistan cricket team have matches like other big test playing nations then surely his record could be much better.

The present Pakistan team is alien to me but i have heard about some of the players from cricket talk show clips that is circulating in social media, to showcase the talent they need to play matches and they are unlucky that majority of the teams are not willing to tour them and these players are missing a lot in their playing career.

Well there is always time to showcase the team talent and skills in playing cricket. The team pakistan may not have that much publicity for now but pretty sure if thet continue to inspire others and play well in the game opportunity comes knocking on their door. I think patience for now is a virtue to them. Let us all wait for the tables to turn for them. However, there are great teams already played in cricket and this should be their goals and mindset that one day they will be able to meet them and by that time comes they should be ready for it. Winning or lossing does not count when it comes rather it is how they play and showed their worth as a team.

A lot of people are comparing Babar Azam with Virat Kohli (including Inzamam-ul-Haq), but in my opinion this is not proper since Babar has played a lot less when compared to Virat. Recently Harsha Bhogle rated him as one of the over-rated players in T20, despite topping the ICC rankings. https://www.sportskeeda.com/cricket/harsha-bhogle-challenges-babar-azam-s-potency-t20-cricketHarsha was pointing out his low strike rate (< 130.00), and argued that his style of batting is not very suitable for the T20 format.

Even I think pretty much the same but to be true I think it's just out of our patriotism that we cannot stand a pakistani players getting compared to Indian captain. But the truth is that Babar Aazam is indeed a good player and when you compare him with Kohli don't forget he is 6 years younger than Kohli and is already being compared to Kohli. He might have played pretty less in t20 but that's because he doesn't plays IPL which is whatever you say the best platform in the world to polish you t20 skills.

Mostly this is true he still need experience and more cricket which is currently no available for him on other hand Kohli is doing good as he is already touching many milestones compare to Babar Azam its all just because of too much cricket and media around him Pakistan facing serious troubles in last one decade which are hurting seriously to many young cricketers.

Babar Azam is a young prospect and comparing him to established players will put extra pressure on him to perform and it will make and break players, he is really good in the shorter format of the game and he should showcase his talents in the Test format and that too for a longer period of time and the consistency reminds whether he could cope up with the situation and overcome pressure when he is compared to Kohli. Let him play his natural game and win many tournaments for Pakistan and then compare him to established players.

He is very young and he has got a lot of time to shine in the cricketing world. But, comparing him with Virat is out of the question. I do not think it would be right to declare Babar Azam as a overrated player. This guy has got a lot of potential and to display his talent he has to play more, unfortunately it is not happening.

Someone can confirm this - the next international ODI match will be played on 30th this month, between England and Ireland in Southampton. England seems to be struggling against West Indies now, and therefore I would say that there is a realistic chance of an upset or two. Ireland is not in great form for the last 1-2 years, but a win against England can be life-changing for them.
