There are still many games left for this season so there will be many surprises that may occur in the second half of the season. Real Madrid and Barcelona have dominated La Liga with or without competition from Girona, but we see that Girona's ability so far is still competent enough to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Atletico Madrid played against Almeria with a score of 2-1 for Atletico Madrid's win, but we won't know the result of Barcelona against Almeria tomorrow.

Atletico madrid weakness was when Savic was sent off but they were able to defend well in the first half but in the second half they were unable to maintain their performance because Getafe were able to increase attack after attack to score a goal. 29 shots and 59% ball control, of course Getafe played better compared to Atletico madrid.

At the beginning of first half Atletico was performing well they even several times to threaten Getafe defensive lines but everything was change when Savić got red card because Savić is a defender player and losing him will greatly affect to the performance of Atletico although Simeone made a change with played César Azpilicueta as defender to replace Savić position i think it was late because Atletico have lost the rhythm of their game however this is Atletico postponed match but unfortunately they were failed to utilized this match to cut their difference points with Real Madrid

Yes, Atletico Madrid started to lose balance when Atletico Madrid had to lose a player in the first half and they seemed to have difficulty facing the visiting team. But Atletico Madrid was able to create their first lead in the first half before halftime even though they were forced to play with 10 players.
After Getafe second half able to equalize in the 53rd minute and Atlettico Madrid seemed to start panicking and counterattacked and managed to create 2 goal opportunities which were created by Morata in the 63rd minute and Griezmann in the 69th minute. No one expected it if Getafe will be able to hold Atlettico Madrid to a draw. This results is not what Atlettico Madrid expected, but at least they have fought as hard as possible even though they only played with 10 players since the middle of the first half.

Yes, Sevilla has started to regain confidence again after a series of bad results thanks to this victory against Granada. Sevilla is already ranked 13th, initially Sevilla was in a less safe position, now Sevilla just has to focus on the next match so that they can get the results they hope for again.

It exactly what I was thinking that later happened in this game. I just posted it here to see people's opinion on this game. I know Atl. Madrid may not be able to defeat Getafe. Although the red card received by Savic S was part of the reason why Atl. Madrid may find it difficult to successfully win this match.

Savic acted very selfishly and was not at all careful after receiving the yellow card. Despite the early red card, Atletico managed to score 3 goals, but Getafe made it 3-3 in extra time. If this match was not won, I think the real blame belongs to Savic, who left his team short.

It's really not easy being chased by Real Madrid who are a giant club with strong mentality. They have experience and ability to play patient games waiting to capitalize on competitors' mistakes. Girona having almost perfect season shows their strength, but the challenge to compete with Real Madrid have to make sure that they dont make mistakes. There is still a long journey ahead to win the title. The teams will play 21 more matches. And so it cannot be said yet which team will win the title. Girona closed week 17 with a landslide win against Alaves at home and this result ensures they will return to top position this week. Girona are still unstoppable and they will continue to advance regardless of their opponent. A brace scored by Dovbyk and a goal scored by Portu sealed Girona's victory in this match and Alaves did not have time to get a goal back against Girona. Well, Girona is a phenomenal team this season and they continue to haunt the big teams who usually compete at the top.

Will they become champions of La Liga this season? Even though the chances are not big, as long as they can maintain consistency there is a possibility that we will see a new champion this season. But I will not leave Real Madrid and even though it is only 2 points away, Real Madrid will definitely overtake Girona. The group stage of the UEFA Champions League competition is over and Europe's biggest club competition will make a return in February next year which will give Real Madrid enough time to fight for the top spot of the Spanish La Liga. Girona has surprisingly been the most consistent team in the league this season even when they don't have a much quality players like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and are very determined to finish the season with the Spanish La Liga title.

Real Madrid's only problem since the start of the season is the fact that they failed to sign a recognized top striker last summer after their former captain Karim Benzema left the club but with the formation that's been adopted by the club manager Carlo Ancelotti, I'm very optimistic that the Spanish giants are gonna reclaim top spot before February that the UEFA Champions League competition will return. Jude Bellingham who has been the club's most important player since the start of the season isn't an injury prone player and doesn't look like who's going to suffer fatique anytime soon. By the time the UCL returns next year, the favourites to win the Spanish La Liga title might be narrowed down to two or at maximum three clubs and I'm very optimistic that Real Madrid will be one of them.

Yes, Real Madrid are one team that will be wanting to secure the league this season and yes, they are having a difficult time this season due to injuries but with the break from the UCL it’ll give them a good run for the league title and help them secure their spot well on top of the league, yes these  Girona is one team trailing them but I think they won’t have the strength to match Real Madrid especially in terms of quality players and squad depth.

This is not the first time they've had important players out Injured, but they still found ways to win games. Vinicius Junior, Camavinga and Tchouameni all was out Injured and Real Madrid survived without them. Loss Savic after receiving two yellow card is not really problem for Atletico Madrid because first goals scoring by Antoine Griezmann
on 44th minutes or six minutes after playing with 10 players. Success manage with 3-1 goals score but Atletico Madrid have conceded on few minutes left before match ended and very disappointed result because they can't pressure Real Madrid and Girona on the top position standings. I don't think get draw against Getafe is good result for Atletico Madrid with ten players because they have been success mange 3-1 and left few minutes not full defensive until last goals from Borja Mayoral trough penalty kick and failed for Atletico Madrid to get three points.

Still on the bad trend for Atletico get winning result after last match before in La Liga defeated by Athletic Bilbao, current position Atletico Madrid left 7 points from Madrid and 9 points from Girona.
